Chapter 24

They got out to the hallway, which was crowded with students moving to their next class. Both of them entered the next class, which wasn't that far. When they did, all of them felt a cold breeze brushing on their skin. Looking forward, they saw a blue-haired woman sitting at her table as she looked at them.

"Sit wherever you like," she said blankly.

They did as she said and sat wherever they wanted, which was next to each other. In this class, they had duo tables and chairs, meaning they could sit two people.

The class filled up the next moment, and everyone sat down quietly, waiting for the teacher to speak. She stared at them all with her bright blue eyes. She then sighed as a cold breeze brushed over them all.

"I'm Serena Frost, and I'll be your Elemental teacher. My class is very simple, all you have to do is do what you can do. Then you'll pass. I'm sure you all know what your Elements are now, right? Well, good, we'll be working on that, but before we do, let's discuss how these vast Elements came to be from our textbook.

In the mythical realm of Eldoria, the gods once roamed freely, shaping the world with their immense powers. Among the gods, there were five siblings who had a deep affinity for the fundamental elements of the world: Terra, Aquos, Ignis, and Ventus. Each sibling was linked to an element, and they felt a strong connection to the natural world around them.

They decided to ask their father to create beings imbued with the essence of the elements they cherished. Their father agreed, allowing them access to creation. Terra, the earth goddess, shaped the form of beings from the rich soil and gave them the power to control the earth, plants, and minerals. Aquos, the water goddess, breathed life into creatures born of the oceans, granting them command over water and ice. Ignis, the fire god, forged beings from the flames, gifting them with mastery over fire and heat. Ventus, the wind goddess, wove living beings from the very air, bestowing upon them the power to control winds and storms. Electra, the goddess of lightning, through her divine lightning, gave birth to the very skies themselves, infusing them with her radiant power. The skies of our world were no longer an empty void but a wondrous tapestry of color and brilliance.

This gathered attention from other gods and goddesses, such as Cryostra, the Goddess of Ice, Ferrumon, the God of Metal, Solara, the Goddess of Light, and many more. All of these gods made something in this world or something outside that would help the beings who lived here. Yet, even though there was life, the world had no essence that made it feel alive. So what did their father do? With a snap of his fingers, everything they had created became refined, perfect, with no flaws. That's how all Elements were born. But how did humans only discover these powers later on in their lives? Well, you'll have to ask your History Teacher.

With that out of the way, let's continue. So, we all have these elements. You can either have Earth, Fire, Water, Ice, etc. I have Ice myself; it's quite a hassle to control, but I managed to through perseverance. Now it's time for us to understand how our elements work, more specifically, how you can make them work. Some need emotions, especially in this day and age, where you teenagers don't understand what it means to be calm. Some of you just need to put your mind to it. Whatever it is, I want you to know yourself. When you do, with all your power, I want you to not be yourself!"

"Huh?"

"Why?"

These questions came from the students who were visibly confused. Serena smiled when she heard their questions. She didn't answer, however; she simply said, "I was not asking." Her cold tone sent a breeze towards the students, who shivered in fear and coldness.

"Well, I guess we have no choice," is what they all thought.

Nathan activated his Element as a bright light flashed from his hand. All it took was his thoughts. Yet, since Ms. Frost said he had to do the opposite, he would do that.

Eleanor, on the other hand, had to use her emotions to create an ice crystal in between her hands. Sure, it was slowly melting, but she didn't care. Now, by what Ms. Frost had said, she now had to use her mind. Which would be hard, yet she was not going to give up, especially since Ares kept shouting at her.

"Well, I don't expect any of you to do it on your first try, so don't worry about that. I just want you to put your all into what you're trying to do. Only then can you see results."

The class nodded in response as they did as she said. All the students started to put their all into what they had in mind. Eleanor and Nathan's Elements were visibly growing; the light in his hand got brighter, while Eleanor's crystal stopped melting and turned into a solid.

When Serena saw that everyone's elements had grown stronger, she smiled. Snapping her hands, the whole room turned quiet. She then cleared her throat and said, "Alright, that's enough for today. I'm happy to see that all of you have managed to do as I said. Now the period is about to end, so do whatever you like. I'm going to get something from my office," she said.

Serena left the classroom and went on her way to the faculty office, which was on the other side of the academy. She soon arrived, though. When she did...

"Bree, are the King and Queen in the meeting room?" she asked the receptionist.

"Yes, they are, ma'am. Do you wish to see them?" she asked.

"Of course, I do. Now tell them I'll be there in a minute."

She got to her office and made herself a cup of coffee. When she was done, she took it and then went to the meeting room.

"Hello, your Majesties. It is an honor to meet you both on the same day, unlike normal," she said with a smile.

"Come on, Serena. You know I don't like being called that. I'm sure neither does Luna," Harry said.

"No, I quite enjoy it, coming from her, of course," Luna said as she smirked. Serena and Luna gave each other a death stare for a minute until Harry cleared his throat, seeing as everything was awkward for him.

"Not surprising. Now, I want to speak about your son's Element. I'm sure you know that it is something nobody has seen, right?"

"Yes, we know that."

"So, what do you plan to do? Because if word came out that your son has awakened light magic, I'm sure you know very well that evil in this world will stop at nothing to kill him," she said.

"Well, I figured you'd know since you're smart and all," Harry said as he scratched his head in shame. Luna shook her head and sucked her teeth at him.

"Serena, you'll be speaking to me now since my husband here is an idiot. I want you specifically to take care of my son, Queen's orders," she said in a high tone, showing off her status.

"You know, before you became a queen, we were equal. But now that you are, I'm forced to listen to your orders. I honestly hate that, but since I'm just a peasant in your eyes, I can only agree, I guess. But don't expect me to look out for him when other students try anything with him, okay?"

"Do not worry, my son can handle himself very well," Luna said.
