Chapter 33: A Punch
"Eh?", the girl was surprised to hear the same question from Vaughn.
"Yes. How may I help you?", Vaughn asked again.
To the little girl, it was as if a stranger was questioning again and again, which was rather strange for real. She had hardly seen the man previously, even if she had, she wouldn't remember.
"I-", but despite all that, the girl lowered her head, thinking of the matter with which she was troubled.
'Should I ask him to help me?'
'Will that be right?'
'Do-'
'Do I deserve to get help?', as she questioned herself this, tears binged down her eyes, drenching her small face again.
And of course, Vaughn had no difficulty in understanding what she thought. He read her mind and then, with a small smile, said, "There is no one in this world who doesn't deserve help."
When the little girl heard this, she raised her gazes, her eyes wide open.
"And if there is… I would still help them."
