Chapter 3

Good morning!

Very good morning," I gave a smiled look to my colleague as she was pouring a cup of coffee.

"Do you want some?" Ya sure, but after five minutes.

Today I am little exhausted because of my monthly subscription. Sometimes I just got irritated with this monthlies and rain.

Waah! What a combination.

"Hey take you coffee," Helia placed a cup on my desk. I smiled at her. " Thanks buddy, I seriously needed this."

"Today it's raining like god is upto something really disastrous." I am telling you, Helia said by looking outside my window.

I just smiled at her, sipping hot coffee.

"Ah! So much relaxed." I said to myself.

So are you ready? Helia asked with giving me a curious look.

Ready for what? I asked in return of her question.

Now I want to tell you something. Helia is my colleague as you till now came to know. But she is also a good friend. I never shared something with her but her words are so much assuring that I know.

She is a nice girl. According to me, I have completed my five years working in this office. I do remember that day when she arrived, all messed up hair in all directions, brown eyes lovely features of her face. Which automatically gives a smile whosoever sees her. She has that charm. Extrovert personality, even if Iam sad or stressed about something she always had something to cheer me up.

She is an asian from paternal side and western from mother's. So mixed. Sometimes I wonder the Asiatic commonality brought us together.

But on the whole I am happy , she have all the gossips about others in office even our chief as well. Iam not interested in any of them but She can't handle that much alone. At last I have to hear her flattering butterflies. So, that she can get her peaceful sleep at night.

Ok! ok...

"You are telling me you didn't remember anything or are you pretending?" she asked by raising an eyebrow. Bringing me back into the reality from my world.

Ok! "I am sorry tell me again. I forgot," I told her biting my nail in confusion.

Today, Chief is giving his farewell party." We have to be there.

Oh! Shit, I seriously forgot about that," I told myself.

But I know I was audible to her as well.

Tara, where are you ? "I am suprised, how can you forgot this."

As we were busy with our conversation. Chief walked and we were all quite. He without acknowledging anyone went to his cabin.

Helia, "chalo for now I have work we'll talk afterwards about this." I said to her so that now we both can work as we are paid to do so.

She took her cup and said," talk to you later".

I smiled at her and she passed by.

Suddenly I felt something. I didn't know what it was about. "Shit my mood swings" I thought.

But as I was working for many hours, I couldn't able to concentrate as I was stressed about something or someone. I didn't know exactly what was happening to me.

I was tensed, about Chief," why he behaved this way today. Such a wonderful person, he always have a smile on his face. So, what happened today, Is he ok?

"I wanted to talk to him," I got some documents, in which I wanted his signature. So, now I got a chance to see him.

"Can I come inside," I knocked the door of his cabin.

Ya! come in," he sounds like he was stressed and busy with his work.

I bite my lip and walked inside with the file.

Hey,

Hi! Tara, how are you? "Tell me how can I help you?" he asked me with a sad smile.

I am fine sir." Sorry, to disturb you but I want you signature." I said hesitantly.

Yes sure , "please give me the file," he said.

And I was busy inside my head. Ohh sorry, in my world. I wanted to ask him but how should I start. how ! how!.

Tara! Tara! , he asked.

Ye...yes sir! I said biting my nail. " Can you please give me the file" he said and his eyes gazed at me through his old glasses."

"Is there anything bothering you," he asked looking clearly to me and folding his hands.

No sir, everything is fine." I answered him looking at the floor.

"Ok! Now can you leave I have work to do." he said again putting his attention towards his files.

ok sir! As I turned my footsteps. From nowhere I just turned and asked, " Sir, is everything ok?"

He lifted his head and said nothing just a relaxed emotion made it's way.

I continued," I am sorry sir. I am no one to ask you something like this. I should leave.

As after my words I was about to leave the room, he started," I have took care of this office as my home. Worked really hard to build it's reputation publically. But today, Is my last day how can I be fine." he took a deep breath, and continued from tomorrow onwards my son will look after all this. I have no idea where he will take it. Is he capable to understand these all things. Will he able to manage it's worth and reputation.

After a minute of silence I continued," Sir I know what are you saying but it's you decision and you have to give chance to him." So, that he will show you his hard work. Iam sure he will take this company at much higher level.

You have worked for years, now please rest as your health issues are against your will.

Believe my words and your son, atleast give him a chance.

Smile made it's way to his face," I don't know, how to believe him but I believe you tara.

I know if you are saying so. It has something really..

I came back to my seat. After comfortably placing my self.

"How much difficult it is to maintain, which you have acquired after years of struggle and hard work. And in one blink of an eye, just gave all that in hand of anyone. It doesn't matter if the person is your own or anyone but it's difficult.

I assured him but deep inside me I was too nervous, " if his son doesn't able to stand on my words then what will happen to chief."

Giving assurance to others, comforting them it's fine but when it comes to the real actions. It all changes.

The trust that you built or your words built hold high expectations.

I didn't want him to hurt Chief..

Not by his actions ..

and not by my words.....
