"Karma!"

"I'm here! Calm down...'

A loud male voice was heard calling out to Karma as the boy in question was now coming down the stairs. His outfit consisting of a slightly loose pair of black shorts, a tight white t-shirt and black running shoes.

The male that had called out to him appeared to be thirteen or so and had tanned skin along with a lean yet defined build like Karma had. His hair being a dark shade of blue and was wearing a sleeveless white shirt, a pair of grey pants and black running shoes.

When Karma had gotten downstairs, he walked up towards the older male who towered over him easily. The blue haired male then patted Karma on the head, causing a small groan of annoyance to escape his lips.

"Dai-nii, is your friend waiting?" Karma asked with a bit of annoyance as the person in front of him was none other than Daiki Aomine, a prominent character in the anime and also the ace player of the Generation of Miracles.

He had met the guy only a few months ago by complete accident when he was practicing outside at the park area where a number of courts were. Apparently he had caught the guy's interest when he saw Karma's fast and precise movements, something you really don't see in an eight year-old.

With the whole thing of Karma calling him Dai-nii, was that the guy pretty much forced him to call him that. They made a bet with who would win in a small one on one, and he lost. While he may be talented, Daiki just had way too much of an advantage over him right now.

"Yeah, he should be waiting at the courts right now. Do you have everything you need, Karm?" Daiki asked as the young boy just nodded his head. With that, they both headed towards the door after Karma said bye to his mother, his father currently being at his work. "Oh, you said your heading to the airport next week, right?"

"Yeah."

"Where was it you were going, France?"

"That's right." Karma nodded his head as he answered the question. "My mother has some business over there as well as my father. They didn't want to leave me here, so they're bringing me along."

"Your parents are like always busy, aren't they?" Daiki sweatdropped as Karma just shrugged his shoulders in response. "Do you even know how to speak french?"

"I do. It was pretty easy to learn the language." Karma nodded as Daiki sweatdropped once again. He had come to learn quickly that Karma was much smarter compared to normal kids his age. The kid was an absolute prodigy.

"Karma-kun!"

"G-Guh!" A sudden impact from someone suddenly smashed into Karma as soon as they got out of the house. He didn't fall over, but was suddenly held in an embrace that lifted him off of his feet. He felt the person squeezing him quite a lot.

"You're as adorable as ever!"

"Satsuki, let him go! You're killing him!"

"But I need to hug him for a bit more, Aomine-kun!" The female that appeared a bit younger than Daiki shouted as she continued to hold Karma from the chest area. He faced seemed to be in bliss as she embraced the deadpanning boy.

The female in question was Momoi Satsuki, the childhood friend of Daiki. He had met her alongside Daiki and she would always hold him in an embrace whenever she could. He found it honestly annoying at first, but eventually got used to it after a while.

Daiki just scratched the back of his head with a sigh as he knew Momoi's tendencies and obsession with hugging Karma. It was like she had become addicted to hugging the kid, it was both amusing and also kind of scary sometimes.

"Whatever. Tetsu should be waiting for us at the nearby courts."

"Oh, right! Let's go! You ready, Karma-kun?" Momoi asked with a smile down at the young boy in her arms. Karma just nodded his head slightly in response to the question.

'Tetsu... So, Kuroko, huh?' Karma couldn't help but think to himself as he heard the name. Kuroko was known as the Phantom Sixth member of the GOM. He was pretty sure Kuroko wasn't too skilled at this point in time, but could still be very deadly if the other players utilised him properly.

"We're going to the park at the end of the street, right? Momo-nee?" Karma asked the female of the group who nodded her head happily. She had let him go a few seconds ago, much to his relief.

"Then let's go!" Acting like his usual energetic self when it comes to basketball, Karma rushed ahead and was sprinting along the path as the two behind him panicked upon seeing him run. Quickly running after him.

"We promised your mother to keep you safe! Don't go so far, Karma-kun!"

"How can the kid run so fast?!"

The voices of both Momoi and Daiki sounded respectively as Karma didn't really care and continued running forwards with a laugh.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It didn't take long for the group to arrive at the basketball courts, a few of the courts being occupied by others as a few were still vacant. Momoi was panting heavily due to running all the way here, Daiki appeared a bit exhausted and Karma was completely fine as he looked around.

"K-Karm, please... don't do that again."

"What do you mean, Dai-nii?"

"H-He means don't run off..." Momoi answered as Karma just blinked. He then shrugged before looking to the side and noticing something as he rose an eyebrow and gave a small smile, confusing Momoi and Daiki.

"Hello!"

"Eh?" Daiki and Momoi both turned their heads to see who Karma was addressing. When they did, they saw a male around Momoi's age with pale blue hair standing right next to them. Both of them widened their eyes and flinched back. "Ahh~! When did you get there?!"

"I was here the whole time."

"And how did you notice him? No-one's ever done that so easily!" Daiki demanded as he looked down at the younger male. Karma just shrugged his shoulders in response. "Whatever... anyway, this here is Tetsu."

"My name is actually Kuroko. Kuroko Tetsuya, nice to meet you." Kuroko introduced himself with a monotone voice as he gave a small bow towards Karma. Karma just smiled up at him with a bright smile and introduced himself as well.

"My name is Karma Hajime. Nice to meet you, Kuro-nii."

Kuroko blinked in confusion for a second before smiling and patting Karma's head. Karma just sweatdropped as pretty much every single person he has met from the anime has patted his head upon meeting him.

Well, except for Momoi, she full on squeezed him in an embrace.

"Anyway, now that introductions are out of the way. Let's get to the courts!" Daiki voiced with a grin on his face as he pointed towards one of the vacant courts. He then looked at Karma. "It's time for you and I to have a one on one."

Kuroko appeared surprised by the declaration as Momoi just smiled. Kuroko knew how skilled Daiki was, he was in the first string with the guy after all. How could he not? But, for him to challenge someone much younger than himself?

"Aomine-kun, please don't hurt him..."

"You underestimate the kid, Tetsu. He's a lot more skilled than you think." Daiki grinned as Kuroko just rose and eyebrow slightly and blinked his eyes. He looked towards Karma and saw the boy smiling innocently. Kuroko could see he had defined muscles, especially for his age. But he was still uncertain.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You ready?"

"Yeah."

"Good. You'll be on the attack first." Daiki stated as he tossed the ball over towards Karma. Kuroko and Momoi were off on the side as they watched the two males. Karma was bouncing the ball up an down, though with a bit of difficulty due to the size.

"Is Karma-kun actually that good, Momoi-san?"

"Yeah! He may be a child, but he is very skilled, Tetsu-kun!"

"Right..." Kuroko watched as Daiki narrowed his eyes and got into stance as Karma had kept his eyes trained on Daiki with a smile. Though, Karma then closed his eyes for a second before opening them.

What they all noticed was a sudden change to the air around the boy. His eyes gained a serious and concentrated expression and his smile turned into a small frown as he narrowed his eyes towards Daiki.

Daiki grinned as he came to learn that Karma always lost his usual more energetic and innocent side when he played basketball. Karma would always take basketball seriously no matter if it was a big game or not.

"Dai-nii, here I come."

Karma then rushed forwards as fast as he could, surprising Kuroko as the speed he displayed could probably almost rival that of Aomine to an extent. Karma dribbled the ball at a quick pace as he tried to get past Daiki who was defending well.

What they all noticed was how Karma moved.

His movements were smooth and precise, it was like he was dancing while he moved. He moved like a river, added together with his speed, Daiki was having trouble keeping him in check.

Kuroko rarely ever expressed surprise, but he couldn't help but show it right now. He knew very well how talented Daiki was despite being a middle schooler, but it looked like Daiki wasn't kidding around when he said Karma was a lot more skilled then he first thought.

"See? Karma-kun is spectacular!

"Yeah..." Kuroko muttered as he watched carefully. While it sounded ridiculous to him, Karma could easily enter into the first string if he wanted with the skills he was displaying right now.

What also confused him was the fact that Karma had noticed him easily. He was known for his incredible low presence, but Karma had seen through that so easily before.

Just who was Karma?

Kuroko then smiled softly as he watched both Karma and Daiki's expressions. Despite how serious they were taking the match, you could see them smiling in excitement. He had a feeling Karma would become a monster in basketball.

He just didn't know how right he was.
