Liushi was born into a family that owned a martial hall which was growing more and more popular in Kano during that time.
When gaining popularity and more business there will always be rivals who do not like their people being taken away from them by a more popular group.
During the competition among the two martial halls in the small area, they held many battles to compete and show off their superiority but this only made their relationship worse.
The problem was that one was an honourable group while the other was not above using dirty means to win over their rivals.
They had the kind of philosophy that the winner was king, mercy was for the weak leading them to take dark path.
Liushi grew up in the middle of this and trained under his father, the master of the martial hall.
Although he was a simple child, he had a large physique and a lot of stamina which helped him a lot to become a prized student by his father.
His fathers martial arts were focussed towards using spinning movements and large cleaving strikes with the arms turning the hands into sharp blades however most of the movements could be used with weapons like a katar, chakram or a war glaive type of weapon because of their simple and refined movements that were focussed towards cutting with no extra movements added.
His father often used his prized war glaive to demonstrate how the techniques could be transferred to weapons too and if this technique was mastered to a high level and the user had enough strength to manage it, wind blades would be produced from the attacks making the attacks even sharper however for many generations the later stages of this technique were lost and nobody could continue to use the martial arts to this level.
The families wind slicing art had been reduced to a lower ranked martial arts in Kano but was still able to survive.
However it all fell to its lowest point when a group of people ambushed his father and killed him, they used methods of binding and piercing with a metal needle type of weapon and metal chain.
That group was a big organisation that would take no notice towards a small person like his father so it was easy to guess who had ordered the assassination on him.
Since Liushi was a simple child and too honest, he could not confront those people openly because he was now at risk of dying too so all he could think of was to hide away and train.
One day when he becomes strong enough, he would be able to regain his fathers honour and take revenge.
Since his martial hall no longer had any loyal customers coming, he chose to go into seclusion and focus on training himself in the mountains.
Upon reaching his mid twenties, he came out into the world again only to find out that the martial halls master had already died and his business had failed, the only target left for his revenge list was a group that had too large of a backing and they were difficult to find.
It wasn't until around the present time that he had found out the news of the groups defeat along with many changes happening within Kano.
He was intrigued who could cause such a change for the better so went looking for them only to run into others with a similar goal.
Many other martial artists wished to lend aide to Alyssia and Kano to put an end the the war with the various other islands.
He was among them and got to constantly witness her next big feats so he was even more determined to follow her out of Kano.
Upon receiving the training he was very impressed on how fast he was improving and put in even more effort to the point where his eyes had gone slightly red from a lack of sleep and overtraining.
He was obsessed with martial arts since a child and that had reawakened within him recently so he enjoyed the feeling of training and fighting on board the ship.
When the betrayal happened, he had been sleeping after overworking himself again and was woken up by the sound of the fighting.
After understanding the situation he came forward to help Jester subdue the final two people leaving one of them for Jester.
His slight carelessness almost lead him to being pierced by a dart after his victory and he had caused a heavy injury to his enemy because he was overexcited during the battle.
Alyssia approached Liushi calmly and began analysing his skills and martial arts after he had proven himself to her.
So far she had been giving a training plan to everyone to follow what was within their bodies limitations and some minor tips of how to improve or simplify their martial arts forms or techniques so she did not look into everyone too closely because it took too much time.
After looking through the martial arts, she brought up the system and began to draw up a temporary skill combining the martial arts of Liushi and Tempest Kick which best suited the style to try to unlock its true potential.
After learning Shave and Air Walk, Tempest Kick was something that she had gained a greater understanding of and had grasped how to do it to a basic level so she could see the potential hidden within the simple movements of the sword palm style of martial arts that he used but also the way he had used the same moves with his war glaives.
For some time on the island, Alyssia instructed him to follow her during practice and practice the same movements along with her until he had completely mastered it.
What she was passing down to him was the lost art of his family but also the method to produce flying wind blades with his arms or a sharp weapon.
After grasping the technique she went on to demonstrate how she was able to use her hand to cut into a tree with a chopping motion and then began training with him to further evolve the martial arts to the next level.
Finger Pistol could be used along with his style to develop even more potential if used correctly, since a lot of his movements were of the slashing nature or included body rotation to create a larger and more powerful slash in a circle or tornado like movement, some other smaller movements could be included to cover up for the weaknesses of his much larger movements which can create some big openings for his opponents.
If the enemy was able to break past a slash then a stab was always more precise of an attack that could quickly be used during a moment when the enemy believes they are about to win.
If a single finger pistol can be grasped by him then a four or five finger pistol would be the next step
If he can train his hands to perfection then perhaps they will be strong enough to be called a sword themselves that can pierce and slash.
Alyssia also had the same feeling towards her own body and martial arts lately, she had greatly underestimated her own collection of techniques and started focussing towards training her toes to suit the finger pistol style along with the use of her tail for the same.
Her tail should be capable of producing blunt, slashing or whipping and piercing types of attacks so she had been training it further during that time and had been doing the same for her feet allowing finger pistol to be trained to suit kicks that have more contact with front of her foot, tempest kick was best suited to the side of her feet or whipping leg type of kicks and Eight Impact Fist best suited her heel allowing a blunt but shockwave kind of attack.
She rarely taught other so closely but she had to admit that she was gaining further insights as she was helping others improve their own styles.
During the demonstrations she had briefly shown him the results of their training to show how it can be put towards the use of weapons first demonstrating a way to increase her slashing potential and create wind blades with her scythe blades but also briefly demonstrated the use of a staff so show how finger pistol can be used with even a blunt weapon and can be lethal.
Although she did not have a high mastery, the system was able to construct the basic forms able to produce the results needed so she was able to show others these possibilities.
Thanks to her teachings, Liushi put down his fathers war glaives to hone his techniques and slowly work out what best suited him whether it was using his physical body to master the new tempest sword palm type of martial arts or whether he would one day pick up the war glaives again and incorporate what he had learned into his dual war glaive arts.
