Devil Fruit

Carrot had opened up the box once the lock was removed from it then looked inside to see a fruit sitting there. "Huh? Where did this come from?"

Alyssia rolled her eyes and explained. "I got this back at Empirica island while you were away. Once I had finished studying it, I had concluded that it was best to give it to you or Tristan."

Alyssia saw a lot of value in the Devil Fruit that she had found so she did not give it to anyone carelessly.

Carrot and Tristan were her closest people who had supported her from a young age so they were the ones that deserved it the most.

Tristan was finding her own path that was suitable to her while Carrot was doing the same as they gradually caught up to Alyssia in terms of combat capabilities but they would soon run into a limit that they could not cross.

They may have had Electro to catch up to a billion berry bounty pirates or people of a similar ranking but they did not have Conquerors Haki to allow them to rise any higher.

The most obvious method would be to get their hands on a useful Devil Fruit or to undergo some form of modification while other options would be exploring better equipment options.

The Devil Fruit was more suitable to Carrot and would provide her with a little more protection during the time that she had made the decision to cure herself of the virus and was awaiting any future treatments to help enhance her power.

Her own Sulong bloodline had not been completely accepted yet so that was what needed to be worked on in the present.

Carrot looked towards Alyssia and asked. "Will I really not be able to swim anymore?"

Alyssia rolled her eyes in response to the question. "You never go swimming anyways and your overall ability right now should be able to stop you from falling in."

Unless Carrot was careless and fell in the water or was hit towards the sea by a stronger opponent than herself then she would not have to suffer the weaknesses that Devil Fruit users had to put up with.

Once she had unlocked most of the capabilities of her Sulong bloodline, even the use of her Electro would be able to let her walk or glide over water so Alyssia had few worries that it would become a problem for Carrot. "Hurry and eat."

It was clear that Alyssia was becoming impatient towards Carrot who was still bringing up one question after another, her scolding tone had caused Carrot to quickly reach out and she bit down onto the fruit. "Bweeh!"

The revolting taste had spread within her mouth the moment that she had taken a large bite of it then she struggled further to consume the rest.

Alyssia watched on silent on thought to herself. 'I forgot to mention that one bite is enough to gain the power but watching her struggle like this is just too amusing to pass up.'

She patted the shoulder of Carrot and said. "You will join me to train seriously for a month."

Carrot looked fearfully towards Alyssia. "But.. I have already been training hard recently!"

The smile of Alyssia turned stern as she said. "Then this month will be more like a hell training kind of experience for you so work hard."

Carrot looked defeated and dejected before accepting her fate, Alyssia had left the room before visiting Medea. "I will entrust you with the Ark Maxim so go do anything you want to do whether it be going back into space or making a move with your own goals."

She paused for a moment then continued as she said seriously. "But remember.. this period of time is sensitive so be careful not to be seen or if you are seen then you may need to break ties with the White Storm."

Medea knit her brows as she thought to herself then answered. "It seems that you are allowing me my freedom after all this time."

Alyssia sighed as she walked by Medea and patted her shoulder gently. "You were always free. Even when I had bought you that day, I never intended to keep you as a slave or to restrict you. Just be safe out there and beware of Devil Fruit hunters."

Medea nodded. "Then.. where I will be going, there should be nobody from that crew but I will be careful."

After visiting her mother and father while spending a little more time with Xena and Yao, Alyssia had left some things to Ashwin to study and research while she had set off along with Carrot.

On the way to their new destination, Carrot was trying to grasp her new powers and Alyssia had taken some samples to further research the Devil Fruit.

An island had quickly appeared before the eyes of Carrot and Alyssia which had a large thunder cloud above it.

White Electro was within the clouds that was mixed with ordinary thunder which came from the previous time that Alyssia had trained there.

Archie, Nica, Alyssia and Carrot had all been on the island together as they had been reunited but they quickly realised that they had a hard time ahead of them.

Once there were supplies packed for enough time, they made their way up the mountain to the highest point where they were put through constant training and had to be hit by or dodge the lightning strikes from above to work on their speed and endurance further.

Each of them were making progress in their Sulong bloodline very quickly with the guidance and support of Alyssia while she was making every effort to reach the one hundred percent stage.

The more that Carrot was adapting to her new power, the more that her abilities were being shown to the others as her body had transformed in shape and size at times while other abilities were shown later.
