Cyborg Medea

Alyssia and Tristan made their way to the underground laboratory where many experiments were progressing smoothly.

During the time that passed, the Creation Union and mostly the core members of Alyssia's crew continued to develop most of the things she wished to create while assisting with some of the production of the products being shipped to the White Storm merchant group.

With them being a new group, they occasionally had to undergo inspection from Dr Tsukimi and some Baldimore elders at the beginning but over time they had begun to gain their trust.

Ein occasionally had to deal with some of her old friends who came to apologise and regain her trust but she cut off all relations with them and did not allow them anywhere near the group.

As they entered a room, there lay a young lady on a bed who had just woken up.

She had blonde hair, smooth skin and pretty appearance as if it was not real.

Her previous scars and burn marks had been removed as if she had been given new skin and the hand that she waved in front of her face was a little awkward in each movement.

Her face revealed a look of confusion but Alyssia smiled as she entered and spoke. "It seems that it has been a success, now you will be able to adjust the the new state of your body and undergo a proper rehabilitation. It should take a little time to be able to make full use of your body and perform as you used to but just keep in mind that you can no longer be considered a complete human but instead a cyborg. We have completed the internal skeletal and internal modifications and the outer shell for now but more will be added once you have adjusted."

Medea looked at the hand and it clenched. "Mm.. i will work hard to repay you for this."

Alyssia sighed. "No need for thanks, it was your will that let you survive and overcome this, whatever happens next is your choice. Anyways... allow me to explain one of the key features that is very important for your power source."

She reached slightly below Medea's chest and pulled open a small rectangular door revealing something contained within then removed it.

In her hands was a Thunder Dial and as she activated her Electro, it began to store away every little bit of the Electro that she released until it was full. "This is a Thunder Dial and is used to store electricity, Electro, Thunder and Lightning types of energy, your body can run without energy and can sustain itself but without one of these, you will feel a little less energetic and have less combat ability. This means that you need to have a supply of these or similar items during combat or when you have used up the one you are using."

Medea nodded as she gazed at the Dial in Alyssia's hand. "So this thing is the most important thing for me that can affect my life or death?"

Alyssia smiled. "It is good that you understand quickly, running out of energy during a battle could greatly reduce your combat effectiveness and without any spare power sources you will have trouble beating stronger opponents."

It was like Franky's need for cola as a power source that allowed him to regain his fighting spirit and use his other more powerful weapons, without his cola he struggled to beat some strong opponents but once he found some, he was able to deal a decisive finishing blow.

The same was true for Medea who had been modified and had to rely on this method of using Electro to power her.

Medea could feel that her body had changed much over the months of surgery and reconstruction. "Why do I feel so... light?"

Alyssia explained. "We used many lightweight materials without sacrificing the durability much thanks to the research of a certain blacksmith friend of ours. We made sure to make the modifications to best suit your past abilities and experience so that they do not go to waste."

Medea's eyes trembled slightly as she revealed her shock. "Then... I can hold a sword again?"

Medea was a master of her homelands quick sword style and quick movement techniques but ever since her body was injured, she could no longer make use of it but now she could.

Once she had adjusted to the state of her body, she would be able to slowly regain what she had lost and become even more powerful under Alyssia's guidance.

Tristan came forward and checked her vital signs. "It really is amazing... it is a completely different path to what I chose to pursue but I cannot deny the results. However this type of thing should only be done on those who would have a chance of surviving it otherwise it is just a death sentence. Using it on someone at the verge of death will especially have a very high risk of death."

Alyssia smiled towards her friend who had gone into her serious nurse mode. "I know, I know. I was not planning on exploiting this method too much."

Medea and Alfred were the only people who were expected to undergo complete cyborg modifications with the exception of giving up their free will but there were always those that were injured and needed a limb replaced.

She patted Tristan's shoulder before leaving. "I will leave her in your care, once she has adjusted to her new body give her the present I left for her."

As she left the room and continued back into her own laboratory, a small cat jumped up into her arms.
