Birth

Outside of the main laboratory there was many people who crowded around with faces full of nervousness and excitement.

They had been waiting like this for many hours a couple of days after everyone had arrived at Baldimore.

Sunila was among them who was the most unfamiliar on what was happening and was a little uncomfortable upon meeting several males all at once.

Although she had decided to leave Amazon Lily because she grew fond of her new companions, she could not drop her previous outlook on the world and how she viewed men in general.

Upon seeing several of the male members she had hid behind the group of females as she sent glares at them which made things a little awkward.

Carrot spoke up first. "It has been many hours already, do you think it will be over soon?"

Ashwin shook his head. "It is expected to last a while longer I think."

Monera shrugged with a mischievous look in her eyes. "I just want to see what Alyssia has been awaiting all this time with a look of worry and excitement on her face."

Yvie had an impatient look on her face. "I want to see too. Hmph!"

The room returned to silence and after more time had passed, the sound of crying was added to the screams behind the door.

Not long after, there were more screaming noises belonging to another female which later had the sound of crying follow much later.

"Is it over?"

"How exciting."

"I want to see!"

"Hey wait your turn and sit down already!"

"Hmph! I want to see! Get out of the way!"

Within the lab, two babies lay there within two baby beds where they were carefully placed and protected.

After being patted to make sure they could breathe smoothly, several samples were collected from each of them including a small blood sample which was obtained from a small needle prick on their finger.

Alyssia continued to check over their vitals to see if there were any health problems or abnormalities with their bodies until she was completely convinced they were okay.

In between caring for the new borns, she looked over the samples as she wrote down her findings and project results which had allowed her to make great strides on the subject of Mink family tree birth type manipulation, creating hybrids with specific designs, super human research, Mink genetics related to Electro and Sulong but also how to evolve the Mink bloodline.

Each of the research subjects showed great results which allowed for her to make several breakthroughs after they were both born.

Many of the subjects had been only possible to create changes during the early pregnancy stages or before as the foetus is monitored carefully and undergoes changes through its growth so many were not so helpful to Alyssia but the ones related to the Minks were.

In fact some parts were quite easy to do before thanks to the accomplishments and knowledge that Germa had accumulated over many years of research and study over the development of the growth of Niji, Reiju, Ichiji, and Yonji so performing some changes during the early stages to provide super powers was something that was was possible before confirming the results.

By the two baby beds where they were being monitored, there was several notes and a name tag by them.

Alyssia looked a little tired as she stretched out her hand towards the one that was named Project X.

She admired the looks of the small baby that was sleeping, it had beautiful and flawless skin without any fur on her face, chest or limbs, she had a pair of fox like eyes, an attractive and somewhat charming face that once matured would attract many people to her.

She had ice blue coloured patches of hair growing from her head that resembled those of the Ice Continent but it was slightly whiter which made her all the more beautiful and mystical looking.

The most unique feature that stood out on her body was the pair of fox shaped ears that matched her hair colour and the tail that was curled up which was mostly the same while the end was completely white.

On the research notes by her side was several things about her individual abilities and talents.

She was born with a secondary skeleton, improved skin durability and healing abilities like those of the Germa but she also possessed basic electro and should be able to transform upon seeing the full moon.

However her Electro was reduced to an acceptable level that would not drain too much energy from her upon use so it was only a little better than the ordinary Mink.

Her transformation was more like a beast form translation like Sulong but rather than the Electro boost, she would gain more physical advantages and fur would grow on her body.

Upon transforming back to her original shape, the fur or animal pelt was designed to fall from her body so her race or clan name was marked as Were.

Originally Alyssia planned to name it Demihuman or Were race but after confirming the final outcome from her research, she chose Were and the baby girl was more specifically a Werefox that the system confirmed to possess potential for high intelligence along with its physical advantages over others.

She reached into the whole in the protective screen around the baby bed and held the small baby girls tiny hand. "Since you are born from project X and have shown me excellent results, I look forward to your future growth and I will give you a name. Welcome to the world Xena Lucine."

Project X and Y were named that way simply because of the naming sense which was built from chromosomes which identify male and females, while XX chromosomes identify as female then XY would identify as male so she named the projects that way and the names given to the children were started with the same X and Y which resulted in the name Xena.

Alyssia coughed awkwardly to herself. 'It is not because of warrior princess Xena honestly…'

She let go of the tiny hand and walked over to the other baby bed and looked over the information there as she gazed towards the other newborn that was completely different in appearance as it was completely covered in pure white long fur all over it's body.
