Chapter 10 Crash landing.

Mikael was right about the next ship.

It was bigger than the shuttle they had but there was no way that it would work and the reason was that when they powered up the bridge consoles and translated the information it turned out that the engines were destroyed and there was no fuel .

This ship used Helium 3 as its fuel so there was no way for them to get some even if the engines were functional.

However they learned more about the power distribution systems thanks to this experiment.

They decided to focus on flight training for now because even if they could fly they were far from good pilots.

About a week later when they were gathering materials there was a loud bang that startled them both and a few seconds later they found the source of the noise.

It was a small ship going down while trailing smoke.

-That's a new one,I've never seen a ship going down on this planet in any other way than by drop.

Mikael said not understanding what was going on.

-That's because this ship wasn't dropped, it probably crash landed here.

Simon explained, he sometimes forgot that the old man was taken from earth over 50 years ago so it was normal that he could not recognise what was going on.

-I think we should go and see if the pilot is ok because that looked like a rough landing.

The young man proposed.

-Your right they may be injured and we are the only ones around here.

Mikael agreed.

-Then lets go.

They both just loaded their equipment into the shuttle and took off.

The crash site was not looking good.

They landed near the main body of the crashed ship, at least what was left of it.

The ship was some type of a fighter craft and the pilot was still in the cockpit unmoving.

-Luckily it didn't explode or catch fire. Let's get the pilot out.

Simon said and Mikael just nodded.

However it was easier said than done as the canopy was stuck and they had to cut it off.

Simon used his knife to cut the safety belts and they took the pilot out.

After carefully removing the helmet they saw a being that was very similar to a human but also had many differences.

Starting with purple skin color and blue blood,small horns on the head and a tail.

The alien also had only four fingers on its hands and only two toes.

The eyes were pink with the red cat like polyps and it was a female if they guessed right.

Not knowing anything about the alien they administered first aid the same way that they would for a human and placed her in the shuttle.

After that Simon suggested checking out the ship in hopes of finding some supplies for the injured pilot because they didn't know if she could eat or drink the same things they could.

He found some boxes and a strange backpack so he took it all to the shuttle.

When they landed next Simon's ship they brought the pilot inside and placed her on the bunk.

Tommy stayed with her while Mikael went to fetch the supplies they gathered from her ship.

The contents of the backpack and small boxes didn't help them nuch and the symbols on them were unlike anything they saw before.

The only parts they were able to identify were some kind of pistol and a strange shaped knife.

-What do we do now? we can't leave this alien alone so why don't we take a break from work until it either wakes up or dies?

Mikael proposed straightforwardly.

-That sounds like a plan,but i think that the weapons should be kept separately, i don't want to wake up one night with a gun aimed at me.

-Then I will take the gun to my place.

Simon nodded at this idea.

-For now I will stay here and wait for this pilot to wake up. Can you try and find if there is a book in the shop with the markings like those?

The young man asked.

They didn't have all the books because there were hundreds of them and they only took the ones they needed at the time.

-Sure I can and we need it anyway to figure out what this stuff is.

Old man pointed at the contents of the boxes and backpack.

After that he left for the shop,it wasn't too far so he went on foot, he needed the time to think about this situation.

It wasn't his first time to meet an alien and he knew that there were many species out there but it was his first time seeing one who resembled a human so much.

A few hours later he was back but he didn't have good news, there was no book with the markings resembling those on the alien items.

In the meantime the pilot developed a fever and the only thing they could do was to place a wet cloth on their forehead.

They decided to watch over the injured alien in two hour shifts and Simon took the first watch.

It took two days for the fever to break soon after that the pilot regained consciousness.

I tried to move but only screeched in pain.It tried to speak but Simon who was watching it now didn't understand a word.

Fortunately the translators could decipher languages and soon they could communicate.

-I'am Alesia Xirna the pilot of the Elani empire,who are you? and what do you want with me?

The device translated.

-I'm Simon Black and I'm a human from earth,you crash landed on this planet.

Me and my friend saved you from the wreck ,you were unconscious and had a fever but we didn't know how to help you so we tried to cool you down with water soaked cloth.

Simon tried to calmly explain what happened.

-We took some things from your ship that I think are emergency supplies but we weren't sure what it is exactly because we dont know youre language.

He shoved her the things he got and she took some of them.

The first one was some kind of syringe and she gave herself an injection, the next one was probably some food .

-You said you have water,can you share some with me?

She asked.

-Yes ,here.

He gave her a canteen which she downed immediately.

-Why didn't you give me water before? Is it precious on this planet?

She asked with a curiosity in her voice.

After his explanation she calmed down a bit and also if this human wanted to hurt her he would do that long ago.

-No it's not that.

Simon shook his head.

-We never met your species before and didn't know if you could drink water.

So we didn't give you any in order to not poison you by accident.

-I understand,thank you.

She really did understand because there were species out there that couldn't drink water. 

-What planet are we on exactly?

-We are on JK 18557 if this tells you anything.

She looked thunder struck.

-You mean that I landed on a Junk Planet.

-You sure did.

Simon confirmed.
