Lireesa now firmly believed the old saying—knowledge is power—especially when she discovered how much this book could completely change the high elves' life. But whenever she thought this statement was true, the flashback of her memory always resurfaced.
It was the 'Game of Throne' scene where the old man advised the monarch that knowledge was essential and mustn't be overlooked. And the queen was stubborn and refused to enrich her knowledge, causing the old advisor to exclaim, scolding the queen— 'Knowledge is power'.
The queen merely raised her hand and the guards arrested him. After sending him to the dungeon, she watched the rest of the ministers who seemed to disagree with her and said: "Power is power. Knowledge without strength is weak in front of power.'
Lireesa's mouth twitched at the scenes. She regretted watching it frankly as if knowledge was powerless without sufficient backing. It was like a treasure coveted by many. Without strength to protect, it remained useless to the beholder.
Although in life, it was the truth when she watched during her college years, it threw away the thoughts of studying.
Fortunately, Lireesa had no such worry but this feature mustn't be known by anyone, not even the closed one. Once it leaked out, the consequences were something Lireesa hated to solve. Pity, some of the knowledge here had to be shelved. Otherwise, many eyes would be upon her family.
Suddenly, she remembered the real business in addition to meeting with high-council members. It was to open a restaurant here for the initial plan. Although she provided the recipes based on her previous memories along with some experiments, it wasn't perfect.
Currently, Lireesa didn't want to sleep and had time. She decided to write another book and tried again. This treasure book contained these datas and Lireesa copied them, directly into a new book she was manifesting.
So many dishes from east, west, north, and south. Even middle-easterns' were included in the book. Unlike the arcane sorcery topic where she had to enact runes, the book was a simple text and pictures.
After 5 minutes, she completed everything as a thick recipe book formed. When she knew what her cheats were, Lireesa couldn't sleep. Her eyes flickered with excitement, having difficulty controlling her mood.
The blue arcane energies inside her eyes would shine from time to time, according to her mood. Tomorrow was the big day when she would meet with many Legend figures. She already had preliminary ideas of demands she would be asking of the king.
Before, she wanted the secrets to train arcane swordsmen which weren't necessary now obviously. In order to gain what she desired, she should also gift his majesty with something.
Lireesa rubbed her chin and closed her eyes. She wasn't sending these cheats related to different professions. Rather she remembered she had taught her Windrunners the new tactical doctrines; why didn't she try to alter the entire Quel'Thalas's rangers?
She surfed through these data and found numerous tactics used in her previous life. She compiled them in her mind and only the best suited for the ranger's professions were imprinted on the energy pages she created.
Now this book was a bit decorated in order to display the solemnity since the gift was meant for the king to see. Lireesa wasn't going to keep these secrets since she had a better one now.
Lireeso hoped to see elven armies reduce casualties in the coming fights in the future. This new book took her 2 hours longer than the arcane sorcery knowledge as Lireesa edited repeatedly until the final product she aimed for came out.
Lireesa blinked her eyes looking at the book, confused about what title she should give. Although these tactics weren't from Azeroth, Lireesa could be regarded as the sole creator. The original tactics did inspire Lireesa from the previous world, but she didn't directly copy them.
Instead, she combined with the current ranger's doctrine, and a new one was formed, despite resembling the previous world. However, to give respect to these creators, she decided not to change the names and placed them on the subtitles.
The title of the book was simply named 'Elven Ranger fighting doctrines.' Inside many pages, there would be names every Earth person would recognize to commemorate their deeds, even if no one knew who they were in Azeroth.
Exhausted mentally from creating a book while utilizing a large amount of mana, Lireesa became drowsy and decided to sleep. The night passed without dreams or nightmares. A pure peaceful slumber.
Lireesa woke up early the next day and looked at Alleria who was not surprisingly still asleep. This time she had no idea what her daughter was like covered by a blanket. Although Lireesa hoped her daughter sleep longer, she must wake her up.
Today's meeting was important for Lireesa and she would be going alone to the royal court. At that time, it would be better if Alleria was prepared and knew what to do.
"Wake up. Wake up. Wakey, wakey, honey." Lireesa nudged Alleria's shoulder. "I know it's early but you have to wake up and eat breakfast together. Do you want to eat alone? Because I have to go out soon."
Alleria popped open her eyes and gazed lazily at Lireesa, turning around on the bed, and covering the blankets all over her body.
"Alleria, let's eat breakfast early. You can sleep afterward if you want to." Although Lireesa said so, she wasn't convinced of her words. It was extremely arduous to sleep again after you move around.
To express her disapproval, Alleria groaned and hugged herself inside the blanket. Lireesa raised her neck and almost cursed. Her daughter, knowing there wasn't any opportunity to train lay there regardless of Lireesa on purpose.
If she were still at Windrunner's Shire, Lireesa would've dragged her out and shown what real motherly love was. Pinching her waist, she sat down on the bed beside Alleria and nudged her daughter continuously until she succumbed.
Pa!Pa!Pa!
Three spanks at Alleria's buttock over the blanket. It wasn't a crispy sound but rather reverberating air slaps.
"Ouch! Mom, stop beating," Alleria shrieked. "Okay, Okay! Stop! How am I supposed to get up if you don't stop."
Only after Alleria got up and looked tearfully at her mother, Lireesa stopped and strode into the bathroom to wash up. Sometimes, a cane might be the only answer to properly parent the children.
Really a century-old child, Lireesa rolled her eyes and turned on the shower. Alleria outside had her eyes fuming in dissatisfaction that she bit on the blanket. Couldn't sleep anymore, she stretched herself and warmed up a little.
After the two completed the morning drills, they went downstairs to eat breakfast. Lireesa asked her daughter, what would she do for the whole morning to the afternoon when she wasn't there.
Satisfied with Alleria's answer to stay inside the room, Lireesa warned her daughter if she wanted to stroll around, she must wait for Lireesa to accompany her. Although Silvermoon City was safe, Alleria first time here meant problem-solving could become an issue here if something were to happen.
Alleria went back into the room and mourned herself for waking up early today when the sunlight hadn't even shone yet. Unaware her daughter was cussing at her, Lireesa sneezed and felt dazed whether sometimes a morning bath was really good for her health.
Her feet went in the direction of the palace and early presence was the etiquette. Carrying a book inside the bag, Lireesa's footsteps quickened and her fighting will rise with the thoughts to meet the traitors her teeth gritted at.
Soon after reaching the palace and passing through many checks by the guards, she arrived at the destination. Entering the royal court there were 8 seats in total on the left and right side of the throne, representing eight great nobilities.
Her seat was rarely used except for important occasions. She thought she would be early but didn't expect everyone to be in their seat except for the king.
The eight houses of great nobles were Windrunner, Drathir, Salonar, Dawnstar, Falthrien, Duskwither, Wyrmrider, and Starseeker. Except for House Windrunner, the other houses were all great players in the politics.
Dar'Khan Drathir was representing the seat. Lireesa's eyes sternly lay upon him and the other members were astonished at what happened between Drathir and Windrunner.
Although her gaze was piercing, she still greeted others, flattering with each other. But she never talked once with Drathir, who was also confused, why Lady Lireesa behaved in such a way.
Grand Magister Belo'vir Salonar was glad Windrunner had some friction with Drathir, as the two families were ancient rivals and rarely saw each other eye-to-eye. The position of Grand Magister was most often held by either a Salonar or a Drathir.
The head of Dawnstar didn't have a good face regarding Windrunner's treatment of Drathir. Their family's business was mostly focused on infrastructure and designs. Since Dar'Khan Drathir made a huge payment to build his house, Dawnstar house would naturally lean toward Drathir.
Members of House Falthrien and House Duskwither excelled in the research and academic-related to arcane magic. They were reknown as magical scholars with tit-for-a-tat between the two houses. One built Falthrien Academy on Sunstrider Isles, where many aspiring mages studied, while the other raised their own Duskwither Spire to rival the Falthrien Academy's prominence. Since Falthriens were old allies of Salonar, Duskwither naturally would support the other rivals.
Houses of Wyrmrider and Starseeker were neutral factions where Wyrmrider had a strong military tradition and were the first to domesticate dragonhawks. They were the most protuberant breeders and trainers of dragonhawks.
House of Starseeker as the name suggested were members of a powerful magister family, pioneering in the new fields and branches of arcane study. It wasn't wrong to find them if one wanted cutting-edge technology. They studied the map by relating to the stars and were interested in astrology.
Lireesa put her stuff on the desk near her seat and calmly interpreted these 7 houses. There were 3 factions—Salonar, Drathir, and the neutral I-don't-care-but-myself. She walked toward Salonar's group and talked with them for a while.
The old Grand Magister Salonar welcomed Lireesa with a smile. As the influence of Drathir grew, Salonar was glad to have another ally, even though Windrunner had always sought to not involve in politics.
He could see Lireesa was going to break such a precedent. Something drastic must have caused her now to change the old tradition. Anyway, since Lireesa had shown her warmness toward his group, he returned with an open arm. If Lireesa joined in, they were now 3 against 3, and no longer outnumbered. He had tried to draw in the neutral parties but was always diverted around.
Of course, Lireesa didn't stop there; she went to the neutral parties and had a great conversation. Or it seemed so on the outside. Not to be abrupt, Lireesa also greeted Dawnstar and Duskwither, but she ignored Dar'khan Drathir.
Everyone was aware of her behaviors but no one said a word while Dar'khan Drathir's face was gloomy as his chill eyes never left Lireesa.
"His Majesty and Her Majesty have arrived!"
So sorry!
