Near miss
Winter's Harvest required a weakened opponent, one too weak to resist its effect. But its lethality was virtually absolute if the conditions were met. Lathai's eyes went wide for a brief moment. The one that was solid white on the side of his face that was covered in burns. The other that was crimson with burst blood vessels. Both went wide before darkness washed over them taking away the spark of life. His body went limp and Sael stood up looking at his still badly mangled hands. "How little life did he have left in him? I couldn't even fully heal my hands." He did get a bit more mana but it wasn't more than a single attack, so that too was depressing. He looked over at Lia who had sat down on one of the empty couches still holding her neck.
