Chapter 21: The Infinite Corridor

Upon departing from the ruins, Chito scoured the surroundings for potential targets. Initially, she aimed to capitalize on the favorable weather to amass more provisions, yet despite scouring multiple areas, the trio only managed to salvage a few scattered components.

Initially, Chito wouldn't have bothered taking these along, but with Senju in the picture, it all relied on him now.

As Chito steered the vehicle past a massive structure, Yuuri's attention was drawn to a sizable breach in the adjacent wall. "Hey, look, there's a hole over there. There must be something valuable inside."

"Really? Since Yuu says so, let's go in and take a look," Chito agreed, sensing the need to test their luck.

She peered into the interior and steered the vehicle inside. As they ventured further, they realized they had entered a factory.

Intricate pathways sprawled in all directions, indicating it was much larger than the factories they had encountered before.

Gradually, the surroundings grew darker. Chito switched on the car lights and proceeded along the steel pathway. Along the way, they could vaguely discern massive machinery on both sides, yet no sign of a warehouse materialized. "Yuu, are you certain there's something here?"

"Hmm...Zzzzzz..."

Only the sound of two people snoring quietly was heard.

With no response forthcoming, Chito glanced back and noticed her two companions.

Yuuri, her head on Senju's shoulder asleep, while the latter on Yuuri's head(helmet).

Witnessing this scene, her expression darkened amid the already dim surroundings. Swiftly, she applied the brakes, bringing the vehicle to a halt.

(T/L: Sheesh talk about jealousy. Don't worry Chito, the next chapters (maybe) would be about you instead of Yuu...)

"Huh!? What's wrong? What happened?!" Yuuri exclaimed, shouted in suprise

"Did a monster attack us!?" Said Senju with a hint of excitement and worry.

(T/L: If a mob did attacked them, the most worrying one would be the one who lights up and explo-)

Yuuri aimed her gun around. Although there was only the light of the car lights shining in front of her, it was still very dark in the car and she couldn't see clearly what was around her.

"What are you doing, Yuu," Chito's deep voice came from the front. Yuuri was so frightened that she quickly put down her gun and asked with a smile, "Chii-chan, what's the matter? Why did you suddenly brake?"

"Yuu, is there really something here? Let's just walk. It's too dark to see anything here."

"Do you see anything? Nothing? Then let's leave."

Although Yuuri said this, Chito didn't start the car and started walking. Yuuri was a little confused, "Chii-chan, why didn't you continue drive?"

"I forgot the route, Senju, Yuu, do you still remember the way?" Chito said with some fear, but the two people in the car didn't know the road even more, and all they saw were dark,blurry scenery.

"I don't remember the road. I was sleeping just now," Yuuri replied confidently. Senju shook his head, "I don't remember the road either. I can't see the road clearly from behind."

"That's right. It seems we are lost." Chito was a little discouraged, but Yuuri behind her was not worried at all.

"It's okay. If we keep looking around, we will definitely find the exit."

After listening to Yuuri's words, Chito hopped back onto the car could, started it and moved forward, hoping to find an exit quickly and leave here.

However, after driving around for a long time, the car was still circling around the factory. Chito also felt tired, "I'm hungry, let's take a rest."

Then she stopped the car and looked at the two people behind her, and found that they were both asleep...again. In the same position as last time

She was so angry that she punched the two of them to wake them up. After they woke up, the two kept apologizing, after a few minutes of apologizing ,Chito let them go.

After Senju installed the electric stove, he built a small pool and filled it with water.

Chito then started to cook fish stew. Yuuri lit up a fuel lamp next to her, and the three of them were under the light of the fire. Slowly waiting to eat.

"This place is really big. Where should we get out?" Chito was still a little worried, but then he thought of other things, "Senju, how much fuel and food do we still have?"

"Well, there are still two barrels of fuel, five boxes of food, dozens of fish and some bread."

After counting the items, Senju felt that the supplies were too little.

"Are there any more? That's enough for now." Chito thought these were enough, because she usually could only just bring a bucket of fuel, two boxes of food and a few buckets of water onto the car.

After a while, the soup was ready. As usual, Yuuri was the happiest when it came to eating.

She had been looking forward to eat dinner. After Chito gave everyone a cup, she hurriedly gulped and drank it, "It's so hot."

The two next to her were speechless for a while, but seeing how happy she was, they decided to ignore her and slowly drank their own soup.

But after a while, Yuuri next to her stretched out her cup and said, "More."

"There is none left!"

"Tch, stingy."

After drinking the soup, Chito yawned. She was already very tired from driving. She looked at the two people next to her and said.

"I'm going to sleep first. If you need anything, wake me up."

After saying that, she lay down in the car, covered herself with a quilt and started to sleep.

After Yuuri poured the pot for a while, she found that there was really nothing left, so she looked at Senju, and gave him a cute expression and said.

"Senju~ can you give me food?"

"No, we still don't know how long it will take for us to re-supply, we must save some."

Senju snapped out of his daze shook his head, and a voice came from the car next to him, "No, we have to save food now and wait until we get out."

"Oh, why is this like this? It's too much." However, Yuuri didn't insist. Instead, she ran to the car and fell asleep with Chito.

"Haven't you had enough sleep?" Chito looked at Yuuri angrily.

"Hey~ hey~," Yuuri just looked at Chito with a smile. Finally, Chito couldn't hold on anymore and wanted to sleep, "Okay, let's just sleep together."

Senju on the other hand, was not sleepy. After extinguishing the fuel lamp, he put a torch on the pool and fished there.

This was the only way he knew to gain experience. Unfortunately, leveling up wouldn't increase his physical fitness. Only his ability to repair and enchant stuff.

After getting another bunch of things, the fishing rod was destroyed again, Senju was fortunate that not only could he get fish from fishing, but he also got a bunch of other items, including other fishing rods.

This time he was lucky enough to get an enchanted fishing rod. Which had the enchantment effect of Bait II, and the fishing rod also emits purple light.

Looking at the shining fishing rod in his hand, Senju decided to wait until he found a large body of water before using this precious fishing rod.

After fishing for a while, he felt a little sleepy, so he took out his trolley,spreaded out the quilt and fell asleep inside.

An unknown amount of time has passed before Senju was awoken, but when he saw that there was only the light of torches around him and there was still darkness in the distance, he remembered that he was still in the maze.

Chito, next to him had already cooked the food, and then asked Yuuri to wake him up.

After Senju tried his best to wake up, he got out of the car and had 'breakfast' with everyone.

After eating, Senju had packed up everything and continued to sit behind the tracked truck. This time everyone was full of energy, "Great, we must find the exit today."

"Ohh!" Yuuri and Senju also shouted from behind, and then Chito started the vehicle, and the front lights also turned on, illuminating the road ahead.
