Chapter 132: Life is unfair

Bai Yi Yang didn't rest that Sunday, but she didn't do her work all day, they siblings did went to the river to fish, just for fun. Bai Yi Yang doesn't want to attract another attention so she just wait aside and let her siblings fish.

It wasn't only them, the children at Old Zhou family also joined them, Uncle Zhou's youngest son Zhou Yu Rang and daughter Zhou Yu Pei both joined them too. Uncle Zhou family also camp at Old Zhou house yesterday, that's why his children is here. They are 11 and 9 years old, so they are really excited when they saw the river. It was always the Old Zhou couple who came to the town during holiday, they rarely return to the village so everything is novel to them.

"One, two, start!" Bai Yi Fang is the judge, she and the 5 years old Zhou Zi Yi just look around and didn't joined the bigger children.

Second Zhou's oldest daughter is really similar to Bai Yi Fang, they are both carefree, maybe because they have older sibling above them. Zhou Zi Yi is very close to her older brother Zhou Zi San, Zhou Zi San really take care of his younger sister well even though they have different father, it can be seen how good Aunt Qing's education is.

"It has been a while…why still no fish?" Zhou Zi Yi ask, looking at the row of people fishing with boredom. The pails are ready, water is filled but there is no fish to put in.

"It's normal. Only my jiejie can caught fish in 5 minutes. You wait a bit more, they will get many big fish." Bai Yi Fang said as she coax Zhou Zi Yi.

Seeing that there is really no sign of fish biting, Bai Yi Yang come closer and pretend to ask casually while she spread her fishing luck to the children. As expected, not long after, Zhou Zi San exclaimed, his bamboo fishing rod has caught something.

"Pull it, pull it." Bai Yi Mo said. He was going to go help over but his fishing rod also caught something. Bai Yi Yang can only come over and guide Zhou Zi San calmly. Zhou Zi San is a real fishing noob, he never touch a fishing rod before, so he panicked.

"My gege caught something!" Zhou Zi Yi exclaimed. She and Bai Yi Yang is cheering loudly as if they were the one who caught it.

Bai Yi Mo and Zhou Zi San both has caught something. Their pail has fish swimming in it now. The two small girls is alternating between the two pail, sometimes they will put their hand inside to touch the fish and giggles.

"Jie, come here." Bai Yi Ling saw her older sister come to sit and chat with Bai Yi Mo and Zhou Zi San just now, then both of them caught something. She also believes about fishing luck now since the last time Shitou and the gang ask Bai Yi Yang to share her fishing luck with them. Bai Yi Yang grinned and come over to her younger sister.

Bai Yi Ling is sitting next to Zhou Yu Pei, Bai Yi Yang come between them and chat. And not long after, both of the girls also caught something.

"So magical as always.." Bai Yi Ling secretly look at her older sister as she pull the fish to the land. Bai Yi Chen saw this and calmly continue fishing. He wanted to check if he have a fishing luck too. But even after the children caught 2-3 fishes, he still hasn't got anything.

Bai Yi Yang come over and told him to check his bait, just in case they are not intact anymore. His bait is indeed gone, no wonder he didn't caught anything.

"Ge, be strong oh. You need to catch a lot so we can give some to the villagers. There are Head Village Li, second uncle Li, Grandpa Jin, Old Bo house.." Bai Yi Yang list the house that she planned to send the fish to.

"Yang Yang, you come and fish bah." Bai Yi Chen lose confident when he hear this.

"Cannot. What if I caught something bizarre again, ge, I sit here and you catch something." Bai Yi Yang said.

As if her words were magic, Bai Yi Chen suddenly shoot up onto the first place after a while, his pail have the most fish and the biggest of the bunch.

"It's unfair, jie, did you share more fishing luck to gege?" Bai Yi Mo said.

"What are you talking about?" Bai Yi Yang laugh at him and let him grumble.

"Let's all go home, this much is enough." Bai Yi Yang said. The group of children returned home with a good catch. Bai Yi Chen didn't head to Old Zhou house with them since he bring his pail around the village to go to the houses that Bai Yi Yang told him, anyway, there is a lot of fish, he can give everyone something.

"What is all these?!" Aunt Mei who come to receive her children exclaimed when she saw the pails of fishes.

"Mom, we caught all of these!" Zhou Yu Pei said excitedly. After that she pull her mother to look at her pail with 4 big fishes and her brother pail that even have a fat eel. Zhou Yu Rang has a better fishing luck then the rest, so he also have much more compared to other.

"Ma, oh ma!" Zhou Zi Yi climb the stairs and call her mother now. She also want to show off about the fish that Zhou Zi San caught.

"What is it?" Aunt Qing come over after hearing the commotion. Now, the two daughter-in-law of the Zhou family is busy looking at their children harvest.

"Look, my gege also caught a lot. He is number 3 today. Yi Chen gege caught the most, then Yu Rang gege and third is my gege." Zhou Zi Yi said.

"Sister-in-law, look at this..the children really caught a lot." Aunt Mei said smiling brightly. Not only the children, even she is excited thinking that this are all caught by fishing alone.

"Oh my..the village river really have this much big fishes? You all didn't go to other people fish pond right?" Aunt Qing doubts.

"Ma..we really caught it at the river.." Zhou Zi San said, sulking a bit. Aunt Qing laugh at her son and join to see the fish.

"Yi Yang you didn't fish yourself?" Aunt Qing ask. She have heard about Bai Yi Yang catching a rare fish before.

"No, my older brother dis the fishing today. He went around to give the fish to other houses." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Mom, Yi Chen gege fish is much more than us. He caught 2 fat eels." Zhou Yu Pei retell the story.

"You siblings are all good in fishing." Aunt Mei said.

They chat for a while before Uncle Zhou return from the orchard with his younger brother, Second Zhou. Second Zhou officially start working at the orchard today, since Uncle Zhou is also free, he and Second Zhou went to the Bai sibling's orchard to look around.

"We can have a fish feast tonight!" Uncle Zhou said, he pat his youngest son head. Second Zhou is also now looking at his eldest son pail, he is listening to Zhou Zi San story of how his first fishing trip results with this much catch.

Bai Yi Yang smile, she secretly glance at her siblings, Bai Yi Mo and Bai Yi Fang is like usual. They are still excited and join in telling the stories but Bai Yi Ling look a bit down. She was happy a while ago, but when they arrived here, she was super quiet.

"Uncles and aunts, we need to return now." Bai Yi Yang step forward and said.

"Good, good. You all also caught a lot so it's better to process it faster." Uncle Zhou said. Bai Yi Yang nod.

After putting all the fishes in one pail and hanging it to Bai Yi Yang's bicycle, the siblings move. They leave Old Zhou house while chatting so nobody else noticed Bai Yi Ling abnormal mood. Bai Yi Ling has always been quiet, so people think that she is just being herself. While Bai Yi Mo is speeding in front, Bai Yi Yang slow down and take her time.

"You upset?" Bai Yi Yang ask Xiao Ling who is sitting behind her.

"En, a bit." Bai Yi Ling didn't hide it. Her arms around Bai Yi Yang's waist tighten.

"Why?" Bai Yi Yang still ask, she can guess it but she still wanted Bai Yi Ling to tell her herself.

"Because they have parents and we don't. Even Zhu Yao jiejie who is already an adult also have her parents, why only us don't have?" Bai Yi Ling said.

"Life is originally unfair. Some people born with wealth while some born in poverty. Some have loving parents while some have abusive one. We are a bit unlucky but we are still luckier compared to other people with similar fate. At least we have other siblings with us, some orphan only have themselves to depend on. We have 4 other people who can stay with us, aren't we lucky? Some orphan, they can't even have enough to eat, no extra clothes to wear and no place to live, but us, we have can eat delicious food everyday, have pretty clothes and nice big house. What jiejie want to say it that, we human have our own way of living, we cannot set other people life as a standard to be happy. It is fine to get upset and miss our parents, but you must not dwell into it too much, the living must continue their life." Bai Yi Yang said.

"I don't understand why life is unfair." Bai Yi Ling said with a sigh.

"Life is simply like that. It's up to us how to make our life fulfilling. Even the poor can live happily, the rich doesn't always have a happy life. It all depends on the person itself. So Xiao Ling, you can reflect on your own, you may envy Old Zhou family children for having their parents, but they may also envy you for something else." Bai Yi Yang said.

Life is unfair, but in the end human is always like that, the poor envy the rich because of their money while the rich envy the poor because they have many time to spare. It's a cycle of life.

"Alright.." Bai Yi Ling answer in low voice.

Bai Yi Ling think and think again. Is there anything that people will envy them, a group of orphans. Then she try to recall one by one. Before this, maybe there is nothing to envy, but recently people start looking at her differently too. She herself is not bad, she is not the prettiest but her sister dressed her up prettily, not necessarily expensive.

At school, her classmates envy her hair accessories, bags, stationery and things that she owns. Other than that, she is also a bright child, she often get compliments from the teacher, her grades is always the highest. At the tuition class, it was also the same. People also envy her indifference, she rarely care about anything when she is in school.

Then there is also her siblings, her older brother and sister, who doesn't know the twin. They are a model older siblings, her friends envy her to death, the Old Zhou grandchildren also envy her. Hoping that the twin is their older siblings instead. How can they not envy, the two people is too capable, too kind and the perfect older siblings anyone can have.

Even for Xiao Mo and Fang Fang, they may be disobedient when they are at home, but outside, they are basically angels, they will listen to her, what more both of them are adorable. Other people can't help but compared their immature small siblings with the two of them. Of course the truth is that the two child is actually devil.

When she put it this way, she don't lack anything other than parents while other people also lack something else that she have. It is unfair but it is also fair. Her sister is right, it all depends on the person on how they live their life. She decided that she will not envy other people again.
