Chapter 18 Sorrow

Once Cyril left the questions were very general and pertained to the basic information about the system. They answered everything and left the world stunned. 'Were they to be ruled by a bunch of kids?' they all though dumbfounded.

Once they thought about it though kids do better with change than adults do and once they grew up they too would be adults and this would be the norm for children later. Though some people were in fear that they would be reckless and that more and more of them would become like Maxwell and the rest.

Cyril couldn't be bothered though as he flew to his father's hospital room to check up on him. Once he was inside he found him asleep on the bed. There was also a doctor in the room so he asked "Is he okay?"

"Ahh!" the doctor was so surprised that he tripped and nearly fell but Cyril made a sand chair for him to fall onto. "Sorry for disturbing you I just wanted to check if my father was okay." Cyril said as he looked at the doctor.

"Oh it's fine. He's in a state of shock due to loosing his arm and he's seemed to have been poisoned causing him to fall into a comatose state." the doctor said calmly while looking Cyril. He had seen the news and even if he didn't it spread quickly by word of mouth.

Super human children weren't something you see everyday. Cyril was shocked and then enraged. 'How did he apply poison to a flame though?' Cyril was in deep thought now.

The cheapest elixir that could cure a comatose state induced by poison cost 10000 shop points. Currently Cyril's capital of shop points was 0 so he had only one option. Missions. They were released along with the shop and anyone could do them as long as they had the capability.

But that wouldn't work. There were limited missions and most of them were to defeat the hostile students who turned against society and currently Cyril was lacking the power to defeat them.

"Thank you doctor my mother should be coming here soon please take good care of my father." Cyril said as he left. Cyril's grandfather lived close to where the battle happened but Cyril couldn't leave Planus considering how weak it currently was in comparison to the rest of the world.

'This can be seen as a blessing or a curse. Being stuck with the weakest area can be seen as bad as we don't have much strength overall but I could also grow my influence exponentially and the difficulty in doing things here won't be as hard.' Cyril thought as he arrived at the plane to take him home.

Just before that he had seen his mother and told her that he had to stay at Planus and that he would take care of the house. She was a bit reluctant at first considering how young he was but considering the situation again she thought it was the best.

"Bye Cyril! Eat well don't only eat cup noodles, there's a cooking book in one of the cabinets if you want to learn how to cook and do the laundry." She said as Cyril walked away.

'This is all my fault!' Cyril thought as he walked away.

Now he had arrived at the plane and they were flying back to Oldland, Planus. While on the plane Cyril was curious of his stats.

"Status!" he said as his status screen appeared.

Due to his Haki Master type along with his training boost elixir, he managed to explosively increase his Haki to a new level as well he found out that once one entered Stage 2 they receive a double training bonus for 5 hours so effectively Cyril was working with 8 times training speed allowing him to fit 40 hours worth of work in 5.

Apart from that he also found out that he could convert his original 10 Haki stat into one of his Haki's so he chose Koka due to it being the hardest to train and Haoshoku Haki not really being needed currently.

As well he found out that the new stat maxes from the guide are,100 to basic stats 50 to regular Haki's while 10 to Busoshoku Koka. The limit boosting pill though allows him to increase the max by 50% meaning up to 60 for regular Haki and 15 to Busoshoku Koka as well the original 10 Haki that he converted to Koka don't count towards the max.

'I must get stronger though and the most effective way is to get shop points for training boosters.' Cyril thought as he got off the plane and ran to his house. Now he could run at 17 meters per second and with the amplification of Busoshoku Koka on one of his feet his one step allowed him to traverse 748 meters in a second breaking the sound barrier and surpassing Mach 2 creating a small crater where he was at but due to that he reached his house in a blink of an eye.

'Good thing I walked a bit away from the others before shooting off. Now that I think about it couldn't I have just flown here?' Cyril thought while facing palming.

He had made such a big commotion for nothing. The others were looking at him in shock now but he was used to it so he went inside.

"F*ck why do I feel like this? I amn't even really Cyril yet I care so much about them. I guess it's only natural." Cyril said to himself as he gazed at the family photo with the original Cyril in it.
