Bullets whizzed past us as we strolled through the scene of the massacre like it was a walk in the park.
"You find her yet?" I asked Ace, as another slug smashed into my forcefield.
"Ugh. There's so much noise and this weird static.....it's hard to notice anything."
"Well, look for the scar. It's a psi symbol, carved over her heart." I advised.
"Papa! Why do all these people look so weird?!" Star asked, innocently pointing at the corpses lining the streets.
"Yeah. I was wondering about that too! Are they still humans? Or some mutation of the entire species? Their eyes are so.....round and big. Are they really japanese?" Riley asked.
"It's just a reality alteration. The reins of the collective consciousness of humanity has been in the hands of woman after woman for centuries. What else was going to happen? The men got taller and stretched out. And their faces got prettier and pointier, and their eyes got bigger and more baby like."
"That's sexist, Papa!" Riley chastised.
"I'm just stating facts. And you can see the results yourselves! The only guy that is remotely normal looking is their emperor. And even then, I think the only reason looks normal is because he has access to the Akashic records himself. Otherwise-"
"You, spider creature! Hands in the air! Stop right where you are!" A mech announced.
I sighed.
"Have you found the girl yet, Ace?" I asked.
"I said hands in the air!" The mech repeated.
"The noise isn't helping Papa!" Ace grunted, grabbing her head.
I rubbed my temples.
I wanted this to be a quick and clean mission. Minimal casualties. No need for unnecessary violence. And we'd be back home in time for dinner.
But some people.....
I turned to the mech and connected to it's systems, and my face appeared in the cockpit.
"Listen up you little racist genocidal suck up. You're going to nut up and shut up. And you're going to turn around and pretend you saw nothing. And then maybe I'll let you live. Capische?"
He reached for the trigger.
"Don't even-"
He pressed it.
Click!
Nothing happened.
Why do these people even try?
"What did I tell you?" I snapped my fingers and the mech fell apart, arms and pieces falling to the ground, useless, as the pilot scampered out trying to make a run for it.
"M-my knightmare frame! H-how?!"
"What did I tell you?" I repeated calmly, walking up to him.
"No! Stay away! M-monster! I need backup! Backu-"
I grabbed him by the jaw, and lifted him up with one hand, forming the other into a knife hand.
"I really didn't want to do this. But you forced my hand. Let's hope you don't have a wife and kids." I smiled evilly, and chopped him across the neck, my raw strength separating head from torso in one swipe, as his skull caved within my grip with a sickening squelch and his body fell to the floor, headless.
I looked back down at the knightmare frame I had disassembled and snapped my fingers sending the engine and armaments to my ship for further study. Their tech was a neat deviation from the usual.
Psychic tech. It just sounded exotic!
It would make for a nice side project.
If it hadn't been clear from all that had happened till now, let me make it plain and simple.
Yup. We had come to the world of Code Geass, and more specifically the Shinjuku Ghetto Incident, looking for some psychic immortality to give me a well deserved and much needed power up.
This is where the whole story starts and Lelouch Vi Brittania gets his mind control geass first by making a contract with C.C., the 800 years old 'girl' who had hoarded her authority over the Akashic records for centuries until the Britannian emperor found a way to strip her of most of it.
From here he would have gone on to become the greatest emperor of Britannia and ruler of the world. But alas, I am here now. And his dreams might as well be dust.
As for why I wanted psychic immortality?
Aside from the obvious benefits, like being able to revive an infinite number of times so long as even a single thinking creature exists, functionally becoming a thought entity and regeneration that defies the law of conservation of mass, since the immortality came in the form of a psychic code, it was basically a computer program written out of thought, made for the processing system that was the collective consciousness of humanity.
And if it's code, it is technology. And technology, I can manipulate with my power.
Combined with my technokinesis and a little tinkering, this power up would also give me the ability to remote control clone bodies across dimensions, and finally cover up my weakness of not having control over humanity and biological organisms.
Imagine an army of clone bodies, each with their own godly powersets, all controlled by me via an overmind.
With this, I will reach newer heights of power. And for good reason too!
In this family right now, I am the second weakest member by pure force output and the literal weakest in terms of overall independent power.
So I really need to up my game here and be strong, as the patriarch of the family!
The kids need a strong father figure.
After all, a weak father leads to daddy issues as if half my kids didn't already have that baggage from their previous families.
I worry for Ace and Riley's futures sometimes.
Talented girls like them....I don't want them ending up like Emma Frost, stripping for fun and joining mutant terror cells in their teens because daddy didn't let them become a teacher or whatever.
And daddy issues are a one way street to all that and more.
Not to mention drugs.....
I shook my head.
Let's not go there.
Though I suppose with the copious amounts of serums I consume, I have no foot to stand on there.
I chuckled.
Just then I heard another set of wheels whirring closer, and a mech appeared on the bridge above us.
"You! What did you do to the the knightmare frame? And that-! You are under arrest for the murder of an imperial officer! Surrender qu-"
I just sighed and jumped, unfurling my tentacles to their full extent as I tore open the mech, and dragged the pilot out, before my laser beams ripped his mech apart, with the pilot halfway inside, his guts drenching the rubble below.
Throwing his upper half to the floor, I scanned the surroundings.
We've been here eleven minutes and I'm already bored of this world.
From my perch on the bridge, I could see the entire area in one swoop.
And the situation was dire.
Not for us, of course. I could wipe them out easy.
But for the Japanese, or Elevens, as the Britannians called them, not so much.
They were getting slaughtered like animals. I could see kids' bodies litttering the streets, the death squads dragging innocent civilians out of their homes, I even saw one soldier rape the corpse of a woman as he lay her body over a railing.
Oof.
Bad times. Too bad they couldn't fight back.
And I am certainly not here to save them. There's nothing in it for me.
I am here for the geass and code, the ruins littered with psychic tech and the akashic record to help me create anti-memes for easier public manipulation, the next time I go to a new world.
Now sure, I could take them ready made and easy to use from the SCP Foundation too, but Code Geass was a far safer alternative even if I will have to create them myself instead.
There's some innate satisfaction in making your own stuff too!
But then, I looked back at the dead children on the streets and sighed.
Perhaps I can give them a little helping hand and help Ace find C.C. quicker in one go.
I spread out my technokinesis across the globe, connecting to all military hardware that belonged to the Britannian Empire and with a thought, shut it all down. Permanently.
But not before ripping out all the research data they had on the psychic technology and akashic record.
In one second, the empire that ruled the majority of the planet went from being the unrivalled world power, to complete and utter vulnerability.
Oh I would love to see the faces of the Emperor and Empress right now!
If they even know what I had just done, that is.
Though I doubt it.
Besides, I'll see the Emperor soon enough, when I rip out his code for myself
"Papa! Found her. She's in a trainyard that way!" Ace called out.
I jumped back down and pulled out the portal gun.
"How far?" I asked.
Ace got the hint immediately.
"A kilometre and half. 15 meters below sea level."
I nodded and opened a portal to C.C.
Time to get that power up.
