To take a Demon city.

9 months later.

-Zachary POV-

We're all gathered at the edge of the town which used to be the capital city for the Empire that ruled all the land and seas for thousands upon millions of miles. A massive wall surrounds the entire area and guards the entrance gate from the main road leading from the highway. Now that it was the Demon city, however, it was swarming with high level demons. Some were patrolling the walls, others were wandering the streets, and most likely guarding the gates and the town itself. There had to be hundreds, maybe even thousands, of the creatures in total. They all looked hungry, and ready to feast on human flesh.

I frown, "This isn't going to work."

Lubbock stared at me like I said something incredibly obvious "no shit, sherlock."

I sigh and shake my head.

"Why can't we just fly over the town?" Sheele asks.

"Because we can't," Najenda says, her voice a mixture of frustration and resignation as she points to the massive demon army moving towards the area behind us, the area filled with Civilians and humans who are counting on the Night Raid to save their lives.

I turn to the group. "Okay, we need to split into 3 groups. One group goes in to smash through through the front gate, Drawing attension. As the strongest people, I recommend That I, Akame, Sheele, Leone and Yunyun do this. group two and three is going to need to be able to stall the army of lesser demons that's marching around the town and towards civilization. Long enough for us to kill the Demon King. We had all reached atleast the 9th level of foundation establishment these past 9 months, I had reached the first level of nascent soul, as well. My power may have been massive, but It Still isn't as strong as the new Demon King who literally ate the old one.

Darkness, Lubbock, and bulat take the army in close quarters. Tatsumi, and Mine stay back and kill any demonic stragglers.

Akame, Mine, and Sheele go with Najenda, Zheele, and Leone out onto the main street where the civilians are waiting to die.

As We charge through the first wave hits the outer defenses, Akame and Sheele charge forward. Attempting to break down the gate to Demon city. Sheele uses her Cutter of creation to cut open a hole big enough for me and the other 4 of group 1.

Mine opens up a tripod and charges her Pumpkin's overdrive with her chi, causing it to glow red hot, it fires off a laser and blasts a swathe through the demon army's rear flank. She then uses Cold-chi to cool it down.

Akame and Sheele rush the gate, cutting a large section out of the iron and wood construction.

Darkness, Lubbock, and Bulat, are making a stand against the horde of demons while Leone, Yunyun, and I, follow up behind Akame and Sheele.

After the initial assault, the Demons regroup and begin to circle the Night Raid unit, attempting to encircle them.

Leone and I use our abilities to create a barrier between the demons and the citizens, who have been toiling as slaves for the demon army for who knows how long, I portal them out with a gate spell. slamming the gate shut, signal them to release the barriers, and I charge into the fray.

Leone uses the Teigu: Lionel and goes hog on shredding some of the stronger demons. While I twirl phantom element, and sever the heads of a few others.

Akame and Sheele use their abilities to take on the larger monsters and rip apart anything in sight.

As the battle rages on, the rest of the Night Raid unit arrives on the scene and joins the fight.

"Lesser demon army eliminated!" Mine cheerfully states. "They just kept coming and I just kept putting them down until there weren't any left.

"HEY! I killed some too!" Tatsumi exclaims, as he grabs onto Mine's cheeks, stretching them in different directions. "Ow! what the fuck! You dumbass I'm trying to focus!"

"Let me alone!" She slaps tatsmi upside the head with pumkin's stock.

"Alright, alright. Alright. Don't worry, it's fine. I got this." Bulat states, and Seperates them both.

A loud roar echoes from the center of the town.

Najenda turns to the sound and yells, "What the hell is happening?!"

The ground shakes as a giant Demon emerges from the earth. It has the face of General Esdeath and Ice is starting to form on the surface of the ground.

"Najenda, you can't beat the General. Run!"

Realizing the commander is in danger, I portal najenda, Tatsumi and Mine back to the estate. With the weakest members returned out of the battlefield we can focus on destroying The demon General.

"I don't want to leave! I can still help!"

"It doesn't matter. The Night Raid will handle it. Trust in your comrades. Go home!"

Najenda nods reluctantly. as the portal closes.

"You guys are all useless. And weak. The strong survive and the weak perish!" The transformed General Esdeath which towers above us.

"I am not a coward. Nor a bitch. You however, seem to be both!" I reply,

"And if anyone has a problem with it, they can come try to stop me right now."

Her menacing mouth turns into a savage grin, and says, "Stop indeed."

Time laws fluctuate and I then feel like I'm moving in molassis.

I look around and see I'm the only one who can even move.

She frowns. "Welcome to a world of frozen time." Esdeath continues. "Face me."

"How dare a mere child challenge the General!" She sneers.

"I dare, even if I'm just 15 I'm still strong enough to stop you! "

Esdeath's body shimmers with ice forming around her. The world shudders and the rest of my party begin to adapt, starting to be able to move in frozen time.

I twirl my Phantom Element, sending waves of elemental energy towards her, each of them countering the stopped time.

She smirks and laughs as the icy armor melts away from her skin. She looks down at the melted remains of my attack on her, and I notice she's glowing green.

"I'm surprised. I thought I would have to burn the flesh from the bones of the puny human before I could defeat the insolent brat. But I see I was mistaken. I'm impressed, boy."

"Burn flesh from bones?" I ask, Not understanding where she was coming from.

"Yes. Your blood is very thick, and flows through the veins of every living creature. So, it's nice and warm. Like mine. I've eaten many of the weaker races, and devoured the flesh of the great General Livur, His Water Teigu enhanced my Ice demon's extract. Enabling me to do this!"

"Oh fuck you! Wasn't Livur your direct subordinate? You're just a monster now!" I charge forward having stalled enough for everyone to break free of the time-freeze without her notice. Leone slashes at her neck with her Lionel transformation, While Darkness uses Absolute Eyes to see everything around her including a weakness at the chest directly above the tatoo where a crystal seems to be the crystal is very small, but due to Absolute Eyes she can see it very easily. and Sheele creates a vortex of wind and fire to freeze the air and blast her with her Teigu's ability to cut through everything, it cuts right through the crystal.

The Demon General is blasted backwards, leaving a trail of black blood in her wake.

I yell, "We have to finish her NOW!"

Leone and Sheele quickly get back to business, and together with Akame and I slice through the general and send her flying away.

I grab the broken gem and throw it in the opposite direction of the demon. I fire off a shockwave and shatter it.

Esdeath goes still, and Immedaitely Begins to discintegrate into black particles. "My ambition... It ends."

She vanishes.

Before we can catch our breath, The reality around us shatters, a massive face glares down at us in rage. "Oh shit it's the Demon King." Bulat mutters.

"Why do I hear boss music?!" I shout.
