A soft groan escaped my lips as I opened my eyes. Immediately I noted that I was not on my bed nor on the forest ground as I feel like thousands of small needles are poking my skin.
As I thought, I was in an unknown area. All around me is green grass and rolling hills.
"Where the hell am I?"
I rubbed my forehead as I looked around. The last thing I remember doing was dragging my tired body into the bed of my cabin in the monster forest. So why the hell am I in the middle of a Grassfield?
As I was thinking this, the ground suddenly started to shake, bringing me from my musing.
I snapped my gaze over to the side and frowned when I saw a group of giant, moving rocks advancing on my position.
"Those weren't in the forest, that's for sure." I mumbled, scratching the back of my head.
These are undoubtedly golems. Does that mean I'm in the tutorial stage of the game? If so, do I just have to beat the golems to get out?
Shrugging, I reached towards my waist towards my sword...only to grab empty air. Kusanagi wasn't there.
"Shit!"
The golems were already approaching my position and I don't have my sword to defend myself!
Seeing the situation, I reinforced my limbs before starting to form a rasengan in my hand...
Only for a blue and red blue to rush passed me and slam into the nearest golem, knocking it off its feet.
"I know I'm pretty strong, master, but you need to get back!" A slightly cocky and feral voice yelled.
I blinked before I recognized the blur as Cu Chulainn, the blue haired man smirking as he destroyed the golem with Gae Bolg.
I stopped forming the Rasengan and jumped back to give him some space.
"Your orders, master?" A soft yet firm voice spoke up from my side.
The speaker was a girl with the appearance of a teen, having blonde hair in a neat bun with her bangs framing her face and a single strand standing up. Her eyes are a bright jade color. She's dressed in an old styled blue dress with royal silver armour over the top, in her hands is some kind of invisible sword.
Yes, this is Arturia Pendragon, the poster girl of the fate franchise as well as the ultimate 'saber face'.
"Yes, what is your command?" Another male voice spoke from my left.
This time it was a man in his twenties with longish black hair and black eyes. He has some light armour while holding a red bow that's at least as large as he is.
This guy...I have who no clue who he is other then that he is definitely an archer. You would think that EMIYA would be the one to be here, but instead it's this guy.
No, wait, now's not the time!
"Alright, I want saber to tank the golems, they may be slow but they are going to be strong. Lancer you will use your speed to take out as many of them as possible, aim for the head as that's the universal weak point of pretty much everything. Archer, provide the two cover fire and make sure the golems don't get in any surprise attacks. Show me the might of a heroic spirit." I commanded, feeling slightly uncomfortable with not being able to be on the front line.
"Heh! Then make sure and pay attention!" Cu yelled as he burst forward, right at the horde of golems.
"Understood, master." Arturia smiled softly before joining Cu.
Archer just nodded his head and began to send arrow after arrow at the Golems, keeping them in place.
I could only watch in awe as I can barely keep up with their movements. Channeling chakra into my eyes, my vision gets drastically clearer and I can now see them easily.
Excalibur cut through the rock monster like a warm knife through butter while Gae Bolg stabbed with deadly precision.
All of their movements, and the techniques their using are being etched into my mind thanks to the sharingan.
There was still around 15 or so golems but they were all bunched up...perfect.
"Lancer! Pull back! Saber, unleash your Noble Phantasm to wipe them all out! Archer, you make sure and keep them all bunched up while saber is charging her NP!"
Lancer did as he was told without complaint, archer firing arrow after arrow to keep the golems bunched up while saber started to activate her NP.
I stared at the blade in awe as invisible air dissapeared to reveal the beautiful blade. Never have I been so thankful for the perfect memory the sharingan gives me, not that I would ever be able to forget this sight.
Golden particles of mana appeared around Arturia and Excalibur, energy starting to wrap itself around the blade as she rose it to the sky.
"EX-"
The three tomoe in my eyes spun wildly as I stared at the giant mass of mana the blade is releasing. She hasn't even finished yet!
"CALIBURRRRRRRRR!!!"
The golden mana was released, sending a devastaing yet beautiful wave of energy towards the golems that utterly annihilated them as well as sending a pillar of energy shooting towards the sky.
"...holy shit."
Yep, that pretty much sums up my thoughts at seeing that attack. I have some devastating moves in my Arsenal, but none of them exude that much raw energy. I don't even know if my complete Susanoo would fully block that attack! Though the full form or perfect one probably would...
I can't maintain that yet though, not for very long anyway. The way you form more of the Susanoo is through practice, and so far I only was able to use the 'perfect form' for about a minute before I was forced to pull it back.
I haven't mastered my EMS, not even close.
"Good job, you three. It was truly an amazing thing to see!" I spoke honestly, smiling widely as I look at them with respect.
"Heh! Of course, I'm pretty awesome aren't I!?"
"Thank you, master."
"Your kind words are appreciated."
I chuckled at their responses, finding it funny how different they are from each other. Well, Archer and Arturia are a bit similar but it doesn't really matter I guess.
Then the entire area began to glow, along with my body.
"Ah, looks like the simulation is ending. I look forward to being summoned by you, master." Arturia smiled softly.
"Yeah, you seem like quite the master! Don't think we missed how you were going to attack the golems yourself. You seem to have guts!" Cu smirked, surprising me.
"Yes, it would be a pleasure fighting under you." Archer nodded.
I scratched the back of my head and smiled at hearing this. "I will do my best to summon you then. May we meet again some day."
I bowed my head respectfully before I was engulfed in light.
"1-115% compatibility with rayshifting and 135% compatible as a master..."
I barely registered the voice of the magus in charge of the simulation as I stumble out of the room and walk down the hallway before collapsing against the nearby wall.

"...Fou! Kyuu?"
"Fou! Fuu! Fou!"
...?
Was that the cry of some kind of animal? It felt like something just licked my cheek.
"Did something just lick my cheek?" I muttered, opening my eyes and seeing a purple haired girl and an adorable white creature on my chest.
"…Uhm, It's neither morning or night time, so please wake up, Senpai."
"Senpai? You are...?"
I feel like I know who she is but my mind is still asleep....
"That was a hard question right off the bat, so I'll pass on answering. I'm not someone whose name is worth mentioning---I guess?"
"You don't have a name?"
"No, I do have a name. I do have a proper name." The girl blushed. "But I've rarely had the chance to use it... So like, I can't really make an impressionable self-introduction or something…"
Hm...I don't really get it. Why would should worry about such a thing?
Whatever, information first.
"This place is...?"
"Ah, that's a simple question. Thank goodness." The girl smiled softly. "This is the corridor leading from the front gate to the central control room. In sketchy terms, this is the front of Chaldea's front gate."
"Chaldea...?"
Chaldea...Chaldea! Now I remember! I was taken to the simulation and passed out afterwards!
"Ahem. Either way, is that all, Sempai?"
I was snapped out of my thoughts by the purple haired girl.
"Uhm..."
"It appears you were resting, but to have a reason for sleeping in the corridor is a bit... Are you one of those people who cannot sleep unless their bed is hard?" The girl unknowingly cut me off.
"Actually I could sleep just about anywhere, though I do prefer a tatami mat." I responded on instinct, rubbing the back of my head sheepishly.
"The Japanese carpet, was it? I've heard of it. I see...I see."
"Well it's not really a carpet, per say..." I scratched my cheek. It's a mat.
"...Fou! Kyuu~! Fou!"
"…I forgot. We've yet to introduce you haven't we, Fou." Purple said with a face like sge just remembered something. "This squirrel-like creature is Fou. He's a Very Important Creature that freely strolls through the halls of Chaldea. I was called here by Fou, And found you resting."
"Oh, Is that so? It seems like I owe you a debt of gratitude then." I smiled, rubbing the squirrel like creatures head who then purred slightly.
"Fou. Fou! Kyuu!"
For jumped off the girls shoulder and onto my head to give my cheek a lick before jumping to the ground and running off.
Oh my God, that was so adorable!
"…He's run off somewhere again. In this way, he walks around whenever he pleases." The girl muttered.
"He's quite the adorable yet mysterious little guy, isn't he?"
"Yes, he doesn't approach anyone but me, But he seems to have gotten a liking for you. Congratulations. This is the birth of Chaldea's second attendant of Four."
"Oh...well I guess that's pretty nice seeing as I get to be with that adorable little thing." Yes, I have a weakness for cute things, sue me.
The girl looked like she was about to say something else when a male voice interpreted her.
"Ah, that's where you were, Mashu. That's no good, you have to make sure you get permission before you move..."
Almost instantly I had a dislike for the man before me. He's dressed in a green outfit with a tall hat on, his eyes squinty and a dangerous feeling seems to be coming from him.
Mashu (finally I know her name) also looks slightly uncomfortable.
"Professor..." She greets.
"Oops, looks like there was someone here already. You're...I see, you're a newbie whose been assigned here today aren't you." The man turned to face me. "I'm Lev Reinol. I'm one of the technicians working here. You are...?"
"Uchiha Issen. A pleasure." I greeted stiffly, my face going to a more stoic one.
"Hm, you say. So you're the last of the 48 candidates invited here." He then smiled and opened his arms wide. "Welcome to Chaldea. Seems like it was an open recruitment, but how long was the training period? A year? Half a year? Or was it the shortest three months?"
"No, I didn't have any formal training." I shook my head, keeping my strength a secret as well as the compatibility ratings.
"Oh? So you're a complete amateur then, are you?" My eye twitched. "Ah...Now that you mention it, wasn't there a normal slot for filling up the numbers? So you're one of them huh. My apologies. That was inconsiderate of me."
"No, it's fine." I'm going to punch you in the face or burn you with Amaterasu, you bastard.
"But please don't be pessimistic just because you got a normal slot. The upcoming mission needs all of you." You're the one who insulted me though!? "38 people from noble magi families, and 10 civilians with potetial... We somehow managed to gather 48 master candidates. This is a jovial thing. The ones gathered here are all the people who have the aptitude to quantum spirit dive in 2019 after all."
I nodded my head, more or less ignoring his words completely at this point.
"If you have anything you need help with, please feel free to ask either me or Mashu...Oh? Actually, what are you talking to about, Mashu? That really isn't like you. Were you acquainted with him previously?"
"No, this is the first time. He was sleeping in this block, so we just happened to meet."
Lev 'looked' at me with an incredulous gaze, yet I swore I felt him mocking me. "Sleeping soundly? Here?"
"Ahahaha....yes, I guess so..." I awkwardly laughed.
"Ah, don't tell me you took the simulation when you were admitted? If you aren't used to spirit quantum dives, you'll go dizzy. You probably walked here after being released by the gate while your outer consciousness still hasn't awoken. It's a form of sleepwalking. Mashu probably called out just as you collasped."
"Yes, I have her to thank for waking me up."
Mashu blushed slightly. "It was thanks to Fou, senpai. You don't need to thank me."
I chuckled softly, geez thus girl really is shy isn't she?
"From what I can see there's no problems, but there's always that possibility. I'd like to send you off to the infirmary, but…" Lev trailed off, seeming unsure. "Sorry, try and endure for a bit more. The succeeding director's briefing is starting. You'll need to attend quickly too."
"...briefing?"
I don't remember a briefing happening! Screw it, I barely remember anything from the game. Why couldn't God let me play the game while I was training!?
"The directors's the director. The one responsible for Chaldea, and commander for any missions we have." Lev said, looking exasperated. "You are a newbie who did come here through public routes, But don't tell me that you didn't read the pamphlet?"
"Hehehe..." I'm sorry! I was kidnapped! I never even for a pamphlet!
"Seems like it. The director's profile isn't publicly available after all." Mash came to my rescue. "There's no point of contact between the director and Senpai. The only ones who respect the Animusphere name now are magus whose families have been around for over a hundred years."
I've only been an Uchiha for roughly three years, I don't think I'm from one of those families.
"That's true. Well, whether Issen knows the director or not Doesn't affect his responsibilities as a Master, so there's no problem." Lev said.
I let out a sigh of relief at hearing this. Though I wish the bastard wouldn't use my given name.
"But it's not good to be noticed for trivial things. If you want a peaceful workplace here, you should hurry. The briefing will be in five minutes at the central control room. Just a little performance for you New Age lot."
I held in a snort at hearing this and nodded my head.
"Yes. It's a form of greeting to all Master candidates who, like you, Uchiha-san, were assigned here today." Mashu said.
"Pretty much, this is tutorial number one from the organisation's boss to all the restless newbies. The director's the kind that'd not forgive the slightest fault after all. If you make a mistake, you'll have eyes on you for a year."
Great....
"I'll keep that in mind." I sighed.
"Professor Lev. Am I allowed to attend the briefing?"
"Mm? Well, if you stand in the corner I'm pretty sure they'd look the other way...Why?"
"I just thought that I should guide him to the control room. I wouldn't be surprised if he fell asleep again on the way there."
"…And if I leave you to it you'll be scolded by the director huh... Meaning that ultimately I'll be attending too. Well, if Mashu wants to do that then do so. Are you fine with that, Issen?"
"Sure."
"If there's no other questions you need answered, we'll start heading to the control room. Do you have anything else you want to ask while we have the time?"
"Why does Mashu, call me senpai?"
"....." Mashu looked away, her face red.
"Oh, don't worry about that. For a girl like her, any old person around your age would definitely be considered a senpai. Though, you're right, that certainly -is- strange. Ah, but perhaps this is the only time she's done it?" Lev muttered. "I'm starting to wonder myself too. Hey, Mashu. Why do you call Issen, senpai?"
"A...reason? Uchiha-san seems like the best person out of all the people I've met in here up to now."
"I see. And that means?"
"I truly feel no threat from them. In other words, they have no hostile motives whatsoever."
"I see, that's very important! After all, a lot of people who come into Chaldea are pretty fishy! I agree with Mashu's assessment myself though. We will get along great here!"
I don't want to get along with you though, creep.
We talked a bit more as we hastily made our way down the corridor before stopping in front of a door.
"...! Ugh." I held my head as a wave of exhaustion spread through me.
"Please head to the open spot in the front row. ...Senpai? Is your face losing color?"
"Sorry...I think I'm still a bit out of it." I mumbled quietly.
"It must still be simulator after-effects. I'll accompany you to doctor straightaway..."
"..." The white haired girl was watching us, mostly me, like a hawk. The other Magus whispered to each other and sneered in our direction.
"We better stop the chitchat. Look, things are already starting."
I nodded my head and took a seat in an open spot in the first row.
"Tardiness aside, it seems all members are now present." The director sent me a glare that I ignored. "The secret organization Chaldea welcomes you all. I am chief Olga Marie Animusphere. You all have been chosen from around the globe, in some cases rare finds---"
I was hit with another wave of exhaustion and this time everything went black.
SLAP
|0|
I rubbed my face in annoyance as I stand in the hallway. I accidently fell asleep and was slapped awake by the director before kicked out of going to the mission.
"...are you all right, Senpai?"
I turned to Mash. "Yeah...was I really asleep though?"
"Yes. Your sleep was something sort of like...REM sleep, somehow. Anyways, the director's slap is the best wake-up call around." Yeah, I guess so...
"Senpai, as you've been dismissed from the first mission, right now I'm to guide you to your room---kyaa!?"
"Fou!"
Fou suddenly came charging down the corridor and jumped on Mash's face before jumping onto my head.
"Oi Oi...is that alright?"
"N-no, this happens all the time, nothing to worry about. Fou-san's surprise attacks on my face always finish with him wrapping around my back and calming down on my shoulder. Though it seems he likes your head."
I shrugged and pet the creature under it's chin.
"Here, I will lead you to you lodgings."
"Yes, that would be nice."
"We've already arrived at our destination. This will be your working quarters from now on, senpai."
I stared at the white door and nodded my head. "Thank you Mash, good luck on the mission."
"Thank you senpai."
"Fou Fou Kyuuu~!"
"It seems that you don't have to worry, Fou will watch over you."
I chuckled and waved goodbye to my friend before entering the room.
My first thought?
White.
Everything is so white and bland that even I, someone who lived off the base nessasities, finds this disturbing.
I was quickly made aware that I was not alone in the room...
"Yeeees, I'm coming---eh, ueeeeeee!? Who're you!? This is an open room, it's my truancy spot, isn't it!? Shouldn't you warn a guy before coming in!?" A man with light brown hair done in a pony tail pointed at me.
"This is my room though..." I sweatdropped.
"Your room? Here? Ah-....right, finally, the last of those kids showed up..." The man then smiled as he regarded me. "Well, pleased to meet you, Issen. That was an unexpected meeting, so I'll introduce myself again. I'm the head of the medical division, Romani Akkiman. For some reason everyone just calls me Dr. Roman, though. Well, I say that, but you can feel free to call me Roman too if you like. Really, Roman has a nice ring to it. Somehow it's got this sort of sweet, cool, careless feeling."
"Nice to meet you Doctor."
"..." Fou just stared.
"Huh? That thing on your head, could it be the rumored mystery creature here? Uwaa, it's my first time seeing it! I've heard all about him from Mashu, he honestly seems rather spoiled...well, it seems to have tamed him, anyways." Roman then held his hand out. "Here, shake. If you do it well I've got a treat for you."
".....Fou." Fou looked at Roman like he was just some pitiable human being.
"O-oi. Just now, I saw something like an awfully pitying look in his eyes when he ignored me..." Roman muttered in a depressed tone. "A-anyways, let's talk about some things."
Roman then proceeded to tell me of the whole history of chaldea, the conversation lasting an hour or two at least.
Lev suddenly appeared in some kind of hologram coming from Roman. "Romani, the rayshift experiment is starting soon. Is there any chance you could come here to help with the preparations? Team A's status is normal, but from Team B downwards some people are having trouble settling in. This is likely because of anxiety for things to come. The insides of the coffins are like cockpits, after all."
"Hey, Lev. That's unfortunate. I'll go to give them a little anesthetic."
"Ah, you should hurry. You're in the doctor's office right now, right? You should be able to arrive from there in about two minutes." With that said, Lev then ended the call.
Roman talked to me for a bit before waving goodbye...only to stop when the lights suddenly went out.
"A black out?" I muttered.
"No, that's-"
BOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM
Without warning the entire facility shook with explosions.
[Emergency. Emergency. A fire has started in the central power plant and central control room. The central division bulkhead will be closing in 90 seconds. All personnel, please quickly evacuate from the second gate. I repeat. A fire has started in the central power plant and central---] An announcement sounded.
"Was that an explosion just now!? What the hell just happened….!? Monitor, project the control room! Is everyone safe!?"
The monitor in the room suddenly showed the rayshifting room. The sight was horrible, flames everywhere and the room in shambles.
"That is...what about Mashu!?" I yelled.
"That is----" Roman turned to me. "Issen, find shelter immediately. I'm going to the control room. The bulkhead will be closing soon. Before that happens, you need to get out of here!"
"..."
I looked up and made eye contact with Fou who seems to be asking me a question.
"Let's go save Mashu!"
"Fou!"
I ran out of the room and followed after Roman.
"Oi, what are you doing!? You're going the wrong way, the second gate is in the opposite direction, you know!?"
"We have to help!"
"You can't seriously be thinking of following me!? An extra set of hands could help save others but...Gaaah, we don't have time to argue about this! Turn around before the bulkhead closes!" Roman yelled, frustrated but I ignore him.
The entire room was destroyed...my heart sunk at the familiar sight.
"….no survivors in here. Only Chaldeas is safe." Roman whispered. "It seems like this was where the explosion originated. This was no accident. It has to be sabotage."
I narrowed my eyes at hearing that, inwardly agreeing to them.
[Suspension of the power department confirmed. Power generation insufficient. Automatic switching to reserve power currently impossible. Personnel, please manually change the power source. The bulkhead will be closing in 40 seconds. All remaining personally please quickly---] Another announcement sounded out.
"...I'll go to the basement power plant. Right now, stopping Chaldea's fire is impossible. You need to hurry and turn back. You can still get out at the last moment."
"..." I didn't say anything as I stared at the flames.
[Transferring to the final stage of the rayshift system. Coordinates 2004 AD, January 30, Fuyuki, Japan. Materializing Laplace's transfer protection. Guaranteeing additional singularity factor frame. Unsummon program set. Masters, please enter final adjustments.]
I was about to leave before I saw a familiar person with grevious wounds to the side.
"...…..ah."
"Mashu! Hold on, I'll help you!"
I held up Mashu's head and gripped the piece of rebar stuck in her chest, about to tear it out and use mystical palm jutsu.
"...it's...fine...….please do not save me now. More importantly, you need to hurry and escape."
"Don't talk like that, damn it! I'll save youn I swear!"
Without warning, Chaldeas made a loud sound and changed color.
"Ah...." Mashu made a noise of disbelief.
[Warning to all observing staff. Chaldeas' current status is changing. Shiva's observed near future data is being overwritten. Detecting no traces of humanity on Earth in the next hundred years. Unable to confirm humanity's survival. Humanity's future is not guaranteed.]
"Chaldeas' is….becoming, deep red….no, that's---"
"What!? What's-!?"
Before I could finish, the bulkhead closed and completely sealed the two of us in.
[Center bulkhead sealed. Beginning cleansing of internal structure in 180 seconds.]
"…...the bulkhead, has shut. ….it's already, too late."
"No, I won't let you die. No matter what!"
My eyes turned a crimson color, three tomoe spinning wildly before morphing again into a star like shape with a three pointed star in the center, looking almost like a flower. (sasuke EMS)
"...." Mash stared in silence.
I was about to form the Susanoo before another announcement caught my attention.
[Unable to access values of vitals of coffin Masters. Unable to reach minimum persons required for rayshift. Seeking eligible masters...eligible masters discovered. Reestablishing with Number 48 as a Master. Unsummon program start. Beginning Heroic Spirit conversion.]
"um...…..sen-pai. Is it ok, if I hold, your hand?"
I turned my sharingan off and smiled, grabbing her hand.
[Rayshift beginning in 3, 2, 1. Entire process clear. Beginning First Order demonstration.]
The two of us were then engulfed in a bright light...

Another chapter done!
You'll find that this is exactly how canon went other then the MC actually talks and thinks more.
The Fyuuki arc will probably be around two chapters long, then we will have a resting chapter in chaldea before the Orleans and my favorite Waifu makes her appearance.
MC pairing so far:
Jeanne D'arc (ruler) -main
Okita Souji
Arturia Pendragon
Arturia Pendragon Lily
Probably more. This is going to have a large harem.
