[Class selection]
1. Swordsman
2. Lancer
3, Fighter
...
18. Shadow Child
20. Wandering Dragon
...
39. Minor Destroyer
As he reviewed the different classes in the message window, Kane noticed some were quite common while others were unique, such as "Shadow Child." Kane sifted through them.
He thought carefully about which class to choose. He quickly dismissed the first three on the list without bothering to analyze them.
The ones that most caught his attention were "Child of Shadows," "Wandering Dragon," and "Minor Destroyer," of which he had a general idea of what each offered.
"Child of Shadows," as the name suggests, allows you to manipulate shadows and become one of them. It is a valuable class for infiltration, intelligence gathering, assassination, and more. However, Kane did not consider it practical for his objectives.
"Wandering Dragon" was a scarce class, and it only appeared among travel-related players. However, there was not much information about it. Although the name gave the impression of a powerful class, it was quite the opposite. As its name suggests, its abilities were not combat or support-oriented but travel-oriented.
What makes this class unique is its ability to roam between different realms: the astral world, the spirit world, the abyss, and the underworld. Although it seems incredible to be able to move between these realms, it is a risk. If you are not level enough to resist the corruption of these places, just by coming into contact with them, you could end up becoming an irrational monster or suffer brain death, something Kane wants to avoid at all costs.
Finally, "Minor Destroyer" is a class about which Kane had no information or idea of its abilities. He never heard of it during the game, not even on the forums where everything related to it was discussed.
'Maybe it's a hidden class that no one has discovered,' he thought.
As mentioned above, the classes consider the traits and skills each person can obtain that play a crucial role in the class, making it more compatible with each person according to their characteristics.
But what if a person does not have a trait that is the most influential in getting a good class when reaching level 10? In that case, the <System > evaluates the skills and actions performed when leveling up in the fragments of the historical void.
In short, the classes are a complement that adapts to each player according to their traits and skills acquired upon reaching level 10, which acts as a starting point.
Kane knew very well that the "Shadow Child" class was fully compatible with the "Puppeteer" skill, and that combination was terrifying. Both players and monsters would not be immune to becoming puppets, as they would not be able to see the strings connected to their spirit bodies. Also, they could not counterattack because their attacker would be hidden in the shadows.
Just imagining it made him visualize his enemies' desperate, terror-filled faces.
'So which class do I choose? I like them both very much... how complicated...', he thought.
He needed to determine which of the two to choose: 'Shadow Child' or 'Minor Destroyer.' Although he had no information on the latter, he intuited that it appeared due to its traits' Mark of the Emperor of Calamity' and 'Blackthorn Symbol.' He had utterly ruled out the "Wandering Dragon" class.
After careful thought, Kane decided, and a message window appeared.
[Are you sure you want to choose the "Minor Destroyer" class?]
[Yes / No]
Kane, without hesitation, pressed "Yes."
[You have chosen the "Minor Destroyer" class!]
[By choosing the <Minor Destroyer> class, you have obtained three primary skills: Devastating Flame, Infernal Cataclysm, and Field of Ruin].
[Having become a low-ranked player, the skills of Puppeteer and White Sun have been strengthened by one level]
[The <Status Window> has changed after choosing the class.]
Finishing reading the messages, Kane opened the status window with a slight smile, ignoring the looks the survivors were giving him.

'This is the status window I'm used to,' Kane thought with a small smile.
After reviewing the updated information in his status window, he decided to look at the descriptions of his new abilities.
[Devastating Flame]
Description: A corrupted energy envelops your "Mana," generating a flame that consumes everything in its path.
Effect: Enemies in contact with the flame suffer constant damage for several seconds.
Ignition: Enemies killed by this ability explode, causing additional damage to nearby enemies.
Additional: Affected enemies temporarily decrease their ability to regenerate or be healed.
'It's somewhat different from "White Sun," as its effects are essentially different, but this skill is far inferior to the one I replicated from that lizard,' Kane thought after reading the description of the first skill.
Putting these thoughts aside, he reviewed the descriptions of the other two remaining skills.
[Infernal Cataclysm]
Description: You can summon small flaming meteors from the sky that fall on the battlefield, causing chaos and destruction in the target area.
Continuous Effect: Surviving enemies take burning fire damage for a few seconds.
[Field of Ruin]
Description: You can summon a destructive energy field that slowly decomposes anything within its area of effect, affecting both enemies and structures.
Function: Generates an area of ten meters, where enemies receive continuous damage and progressively lose their armor, resistance, etc. It can also weaken structures, facilitating their destruction.
Additional: As the ability levels up, the area of effect may increase, or the field may acquire new properties, such as deactivating enemy abilities or slowing enemies within the field.
