The flashes of cameras, cops talking with each other, news reporters that were interviewing civilians. It was all just your typical crime scene.
"Where the hell is he? Hey, has anyone seen Henry?" A middle aged man with a thick beard said while looking around. He wore a suit fitting of a businessman with a long black trench coat to follow.
This man was the Chief of Police and to his side was Kazemi, Clay's dad. "Uh, he's.." Kazemi was about to speak, but stopped as someone yelled "Watch it!" from behind the two.
They turned around and saw a young man in nothing but black and wearing white vans. He was holding a bag and seemed to be in a rush.
"S-Sorry, I'm late, Captain Burns."
"What was it this time, Henry? Did you forget to set your alarm clock or something? Oh, and before you answer, you gave the excuse of having car troubles last time, didn't you? It was very memorable because..."
"I...don't own a car.."
Henry finished the sentence while looking down, Burns nodding and turning towards Kazemi. "Oh, uh... He was running an errand for me. Henry, did you get that thing that I asked for?"
Henry looked up and saw the gaze Kazemi was giving. It was telling him to play along and Henry was quick to catch on.
"Yeah, yeah, I did, uhm.." Henry reached into his pockets, rummaging around for something that wasn't there.
"Oh, uh, here you go sir.."
Henry pulled out at ring pop and gave it to Kazemi. Starring him down, thinking, 'You could've gave me a pen or something..' Kazemi then titled his head to the left, Indicating for him to get a move on.
He did, saying "Excuse me." as he went between the two and under yellow tape.
They were at a warehouse on the south side of the city. This side of the city was known for having bad crime, but this warehouse,...no one ever messed with. Becuase it was mysterious, most would keep away.
This was, what they assumed however, to be one of the rare cases where people decided to be a little curious and so they might've broke in.
The captain, the detective and the CSI, Henry, walked through the giant hole that made up for the entrance. It used to be a gate that opened horizontally, but now, a house sized hole made up for the entrance.
"So what are they saying..?" Henry asked while putting on gloves. "Reports are saying that witnesses passing by saw 'shining lights' like a party was taking place. They wanted to check it out, but felt some 'ominous feeling' when approaching the place, so they stayed back."
"Ominous feeling..? What does that mean?" The captain asked, looking around and feeling nothing. "I don't know. But my guess,...[Ability Holders]. Maybe a deal was happenin', words were said, and things turned south."
Captain Burns was surprised and said, "[Ability Holders] again?! Man, I thought we got all the bad ones, smh.." He placed his hand on Kazemi's shoulder and said,
"I'll go see if we can get in touch with [<Unity>]. Though he hasn't been active lately, he'll surely come out if we explain to him that other supernatural beings are in play.." Kazemi nodded as Captain Burns went along.
"Henry, what do you think? [Ability Holders] or what?" Henry was examining the ground where metal once had been, but was gone, leaving the dirt from the earth to be present.
"Yeah, there's no way regular humans could do this.." They both then looked over to the right and saw multiple foot prints in the ground, one belonging to an animal while the other, a human.
"A bear, it seems? Was an [Ability Holder] fighting a bear? Jeez, that must've been rough.." Henry then asked about the cameras to which Kazemi told him that they were wiped completly.
"We're really in the dark on this one, Kazemi. Whoever cleaned up left absolutely nothing behind for us to go off of. No blood, no pieces of clothes, no anything.
Hell, even that shoe sized dent is that of an average person's, so it'd be impossible to pin down any one person. What'll we do?"
Kazemi thought for a moment, rubbing his chin and walking in circles.
"Hmm, okay, I got it. Bassically, since not only the cameras here were wiped but everything within a mile radius as well, we'll check all the cameras in this part of town and anyone seen going towards here, will be asked to come to the station and give a report on what they were doing last night. That could work, right?"
Henry stood up and nodded. "Yeah, It could work. Pretty good idea actually.." Henry then came to Kazemi's side and tapped his shoulder.
"I know this isn't the right time to speak on it, but didn't your kid just wake up from of a coma? What are you doing here man? You should be spending time with him, shouldn't you?"
With a sigh, Kazemi pulled out a pack of smokes and took one. Lighting one, he said, "You're right, I should. That's why after this case, I'm..." Kazemi whispered something into Henry's ears that made his eyes buck.
"Re-Really?! That's.."
"Yeah, yeah. Just don't say anything. He's still deciding, so whatever his decision is, I'll work off that.."
Kazemi turned around and started walking off, saying, "I'm going back down to the station. Tell the Captain to make a public report. He often forgets that, y'know?"
Henry, still puzzled by Kazemi's news, had simply shook his head and watched as he left.
'Can't wait to see everyones reaction to the news..' Henry smiled and went over to a few of his colleagues, asking if they had seen Captain Burns anywhere.

Clay was sitting in the back of a city bus. With Eve napping on his lap, he'd rub her back at times while looking out the window. He'd pass by many places and nostalgic feelings would swell up inside of him.
'Oh, and that's..' He pulled on a wire near the window and a sound was made. The bus slowed as he picked up Eve and started walking down the aisle and passed people. When the bus complelty came to a halt, the door opened and he was let out.
'It feels like forever since I last came here..' He looked up at the sign displaying the stores name.
'Wonder how he's doing..'
