CHAPTER 4: LADY TIMOTHEA

"Wake up!"

I immediately opened my eyes. Still surprised by what I have witnessed.

"Fuck." That was all I have uttered.

"Louie, go get her a glass of water." He commanded Louie in his authorative voice.

"Yes, Alpha." He slightly bowed his head before heading to the table near the balcony.

"Who are you?" I asked him, still unable to process everything.

He looked at me using his golden eyes.

"Karius. Alpha Karius." He answered me in his deep baritone voice

I just slightly nodded.

"Alpha, here it is." Louie said, a glass of water in his hand.

Alpha Karius gestured Louie to hand it to me, he followed Alpha Karius.

I thanked him for the moment I accepted the full glass of water. I gulped it.

"I'm not dreaming, right?" I asked, still spacing out.

I heard Alpha Karius chuckled, "No, Mera."

I looked at him.

"Am I like you?" I asked him again, in a serious tone

"Yes, you're a lycan..." He inhaled a deep breath before continuing, "You're born and raised here in Ilican Realm."

I felt like a pang of pain in my head

"Why do I have memories as a human?" I asked, still not convinced.

"We'll talk to the sorceress here in Ilican later. For now, take a rest. Matt is stranded at the Southwest, it might take a little longer for him to arrive." Alpha Karius said

I felt the waves of exhaustion so I just nodded my head as a response and lay back again at the bed.

"We're leaving. Just call me if you need anything." Alpha Karius said before closing the door.

As soon as the door closed, my eyes shut and my oblivion was swallowed by the deep slumber.

I was looking straight at the mirror, staring at the woman in it wearing a red tight Victorian dress. My hair was braided to the sides.

"Luna Azalea." I was snapped back to reality when someone called my "name".

"Call me Mera." I corrected her calmly and she just nodded shyly.

"The dinner table is ready, Luna Mera. Alpha Karius is waiting." She stated gently

I just nodded and let her lead the way.

The design of this palace is screaming elegance and wealth.

It is indeed a Palace of an Alpha.

I was too preoccupied with the sight of elegant vases I have passed and didn't mean to bump into this lady.

"Sorry." I whispered and I heard her gasped

"It's okay, Luna." She whispered too, quite shocked.

My eyebrows knitted and I just uttered a simple thanks.

When I got inside of the dining hall, Alpha Karius was already sitting at the other side of this table.

"Good evening. You might have had a good sleep, hmm?" He used his playful tone that made my forehead to crease.

"Yeah, everything was just too much to sink in," I answered in my serious tone

He cleared his throat and motioned me to occupy the seat near him. I obliged without uttering a protest.

He immediately grabs himself food and after that, I also did the same.

We were eating at peace for more than thirty minutes when he broke the silence.

"The sorceress is arriving tonight. I asked for Lady Timothea, the most powerful sorceress here in Ilican." He informed

I calmly chewed and swallowed the food inside my mouth before opening it to speak.

"I'm gonna talk to her immediately." I responded and he just nodded.

After that conversation, the atmosphere in the dining room felt heavy. And that's when my mind wandered.

Let your mind take a break if you want everything to have an effecient outcome.
