She giggled and slightly shook her head.
"So... what's wrong with you?" Luthiel inquired, and she let out a low breath.
"Well, it's nothing much. It's just that someone I know seems to not remember me." She replied, and Luthiel arched his brow at her.
"That's why you are sulking?" He asked, and she raised her head to look at him.
"What do you mean?" Her brow furrowed deeply.
"Since he or she doesn't remember you, why are you sad then? Pretend that you don't know him or her either. "
He shrugged and Yennefer, who couldn't believe that he had actually just said that, stared at him with an irritated expression emerging on her face.
"Are you a soulless human being? You really have no feelings at all! " She glared at him, and he scrunched his eyebrows at her.
"Whatever you say." He said and turned around to leave. "Come back, inside, the ban-"
He hadn't finished his words yet when the waltz suddenly started again, causing him to halt.
"Already?" He asked himself and turned around to look at Yennefer.
"It looks like they are done." Yennefer smiled at him, and he slightly nodded his head at her.
Once the introduction was made by both families, the second dance would commence before the two couples were engaged.
"Do you want to dance?" Yennefer abruptly asked, and definitely not expecting that from her, Luthiel raised his head to look at her.
"What?" He inquired just to be sure he heard her right, and a big smile formed on Yennefer's face.
She stood up from the rock that she was seated on and walked towards him.
"I said, do you want to dance?" She asked yet again, and Luthiel gazed at her for a few seconds before slowly shaking his head.
"No. I don't dance." He replied and turned around to leave, but Yennefer grabbed him by the arm and spun him around.
"You need to relax sometimes. It won't hurt." She clicked her tongue at him and gently placed his hand on her waist.
"What are you-"
"Just relax and dance." She smiled sweetly at him and placed her arm on his shoulder.
She interlocked her other hand with his, and with her eyes fixed on his, she slowly began to lead him, leaving Liuthiel's heart to beat furiously.
He had never done this kind of thing before.
He had never even been this close to a woman before, and what exactly was this feeling he was feeling in his heart?
It felt warm and it was causing his heart to beat so fast.
His eyes vigorously fluttered and, still a bit reluctant to hold her waist firmly, he gazed at her, his heart still racing and pounding within him.
"Relax, Luthiel. You need to let yourself breathe sometimes, okay?"
Able to feel his reluctance, Yennefer smiled gently at him, and have never had someone smile so gently at him, his heart raced even more and he began to breathe heavily to calm himself down.
Yennefer chuckled softly and slightly shook her head at him.
They danced near the fountain to the rhythm of the waltz, and throughout the whole dance, Luthiel had his eyes fixed on her.
He gazed intently at her gray eyes, not failing to notice the small white lashes that mixed with the black ones.
'You're very pretty.' He said it in his heart, not having the courage to say it to her out loud.
Yennefer stared at him as well, and for the first time, she actually got the chance to examine his face.
Her gaze fixed on his emerald green eyes, and there was just something captivating about them.
It was glowing and glassy, as though he had tears in his eyes.
It was beautiful and not just that, his long lashes complimented it so much that she felt a bit ...envious.
His long hair... for some reason, she finds it very attractive as well.
"Your eyes are very beautiful." She complimented him in a daze and had not expected that from her, Luthiel's heart skipped a bit and he quickly halted, stopping the dance.
"What's... wrong?" Not sure why he stopped, Yennefer asked, and he furiously shook his head at her.
"Nothing!" He quickly turned around and proceeded to leave, but Yennefer, who felt a huge bang on her head as a result of her head injury that had yet to heal, gripped him by his arm, stopping him on his track.
"Luthiel, I suddenly feel very dizzy. Could you help me back to my room?" She asked in a weary voice, and he quickly caught her in his arms before she could fall.
He carefully lifted her into his arms and unhurriedly carried her back to her chamber.
He arrived there, and the guards pushed the door open for him.
He took her inside and, carefully, he laid her down on the bed and covered her with the blanket.
He turned around to leave, but she grabbed the hem of his shirt, stopping him.
He turned his head to look at her, and she smiled softly at him.
"Thank you." She said, and he looked at her for a few seconds before turning around and walking out of the chamber.
The guards shut the door, and Yennefer turned on her side, then closed her eyes to sleep.
