Their first night together

"You can rest first. I have some work in the library.", Daniel spoke trying to ease her nervousness. After speaking he walked towards the door that Sophia was wondering earlier what it was for.

'Oh! So this is connecting door to his library ', she said to herself. She walked towards the bed and then thought, 'should she take the sofa instead?'

Sophia was still contemplating when Daniel's voice came from behind her, startling Sophia so much that she jumped in her place.

"Don't you dare think about sleeping on the sofa. I respect your boundaries so I won't do anything you are not comfortable with but this is a big NO. You can take any side of the bed and I can promise you that I won't touch you without you initiating it." , Daniel said and taking a file kept on the side table, he went to the library.

Sophia hesitatingly sat on the bed and sighed. She was going to rest when her phone rang. Sophia picked it up and looked at the caller name. It was Emily who called.

"Hello", Sophia said adjusting herself to a comfortable position against the headboard.

"Sophia are you done with the marriage related activities? I know I shouldn't say this now but still I think you did a big mistake marrying Liam. But as you are already married, what else can be done. Just let me know if he did anything to hurt you and I will chop off his paws.", Emily blabbered non-stop.

"Emily Johnson. Take a deep breath, will you?", Sophia said to her friend to calm her down.

"Okay okay. I will keep quiet. I am not saying anything against your husband", Emily said sarcastically, thinking Sophia didn't like her badmouthing Liam.

"I didn't marry Liam.", Sophia said tiredly.

Emily gasped on the other end.

"Don't tell me you ran away from the wedding. Well done girl.", Emily said feeling impressed of Sophia's courage.

"No Emily I didn't run from my wedding. I did get married but not to Liam.", Sophia explained.

"What????? I mean how ? Who? I mean who did you marry? And why not Liam? I am happy knowing you didn't marry him but I am confused now.", Emily said clearly taken aback now.

"You would have understood if you had attended the wedding in the first place.", Sophia said accusingly to her friend who ditched her.

"You very well know where I was and what for? It was a life changing deal for both of us and I couldn't let it go just for witnessing my friend jumping in a fire pit. At least this deal could help us expand our trade and you would have a back up, just in case your marriage failed. Which probably would have because Liam couldn't keep his true colours hidden for too long.", Emily said getting serious while talking about their work and future prospects.

They both set up a logistics company that helps in delivery of anything and anywhere. It was named 'Tout le Monde pvt. Ltd.'. (Tout le Monde is in French that means everybody in english). The reference was that their clients were from all walks of life be it government related or underworld related.

The IT company was the cover up though they worked hard for that too. Sophia is an expert in hacking skills. If she says she is the second best then no one could claim the top position. Whereas Emily is an excellent software developer and also a partner in her company ventures. Their family only knows about the IT company and no one knows about the logistics company of theirs.

"Yes, I know. Anyway when are you coming back from country R.", Sophia asked her friend.

"I will be back tomorrow night. Hey don't change the topic. Tell me the full story, what exactly happened?", Emily spoke sniffing gossip.

Sophia shook her head knowing her well. She told her everything and Emily gasped dramatically.

"So you married the richest person randomly? Are you kidding me? How can your luck be so good? No no, I have to find myself a handsome rich hunk too. If your story is so adventurous that then mine can't be any less.", Emily said thinking about her one hell of a lovely story.

"Earth to Emily. Can we reach you?", Sophia said suppressing her laughter.

"Yes yes. I am there.", Emily said in a sulking tone. Sophia laughed loudly.

"Anyways I knew that Jessica was a green tea bitch", Emily said trying to change the topic and stop her friend making fun of her.

"But it's a great match. The green tea bitch and the jerk together. Just perfect.", Emily added further.

"I don't want to talk about that now. We will talk when you come. I am tired now and going to bed. You take care. See you soon.", Sophia said tiredly.

"Okay I will hang up after all you have someone waiting for you. Take charge and eat him clean. I have heard that the CEO of Madison group is very handsome.", Emily said with teasing tone and hung up before Sophia could say anything.

Sophia kept her phone aside hearing the hung up tone and shook her head at Emily's words. 'But he is really handsome', her inner voice said and Sophia blushed. She patted her cheeks and lay down to get some rest.

Soon the day's tiredness took over her and she went into deep slumber. Daniel came in the room around midnight and found her sound asleep. He smiled seeing her sleep on the bed and moved towards the other side and slid under the covers after turning off the lights.

He turned his face towards Sophia and looked at her for a while and before closing his eyes. He was about to fall asleep when he felt two hands embracing him and his eyes flew open.

Sophia was now in his arms with her head buried in his chest trying to find a comfortable position and her hands hugging him around his torso. He was pleasantly surprised seeing her like this.

Daniel was still enjoying the moment when he noticed her frown as she wasn't able to get her comfortable spot. He slowly and carefully adjusted his position and slid his hand under her head and held her closer to himself and soon she drifted back to sleep.

He held her tightly yet comfortably.

He sniffed her hair that smelled like his. He smiled knowing she used his shampoo. He took a deep breath against her head and kissed her forehead murmuring a good night. Soon he fell asleep with his lips curved upwards with a beautiful smile adoring his face.
