A small tussle really.

Tess and I were walking back to the ruins and we were chatting about just any little thing we found.

"Do you know why that's called an oak tree?" Tess asked.

"No? Why, do you?"

"Nah I've got no clue either." Tess said with a giggle.

"That was such a stupid question."

"Well at least I'm trying to start a conversation."

"A pathetic attempt."

We continued walking through the forest and no monsters were attacking us, surprisingly. I felt three people enter my [Spacial awareness] so I signalled for Tess to stop and crouch with me.

'Ugh not those kids.'

"Haah why those kids." I said.

"Did you sense someone?"

"Yeah three kids who are talking about attacking me. I can hear them from hear they're saying that I'm hogging all the attention and I'm weak and pathetic. They think I've mind controlled the adults into liking me more than them. Oh my lord that is so stupid, how dumb are these kids like really?"

"That just sounds like an excuse to fight you."

"If they really want to I will."

'System what are their levels?'

"They should at least get stronger before attacking me." I said aloud.

"They're quite weak, even I could take them on." Tess responded.

"I bet you could, these kids have no talent."

The three boys continued to walk in our direction so I said we should walk towards them as well because I don't want to waste time. If we are going to cross paths we might as well make it quick.

We soon reached each other and the boys started sneering at me.

"Well if it's not this pathetic dragon that likes to be the centre of attention." Said one boy with the other two giggling behind him.

"We heard the sounds of fighting with an ogre over there," he said pointing to the direction we just came from. "It seems like you wimps just ran from the first sign of danger. Pathetic."

"Your the one who's pathetic and I didn't run, I've already killed the ogre. Can you move now so we can leave or do you want me to kill you first because I'll happily oblige to that request." I said to the boy looking directly into his eyes.

"Haha like you could even scratch one of us! I am already level 7 and those two are both level 6 and we've all been trained with a sword. You'll never touch us."

"If you can use a sword then I might be able to train a little if I hold back." I mumbled.

"Huh? You say something?" The boy said with a wide grin stretched across his face.

"Yes but not to you."

"Are you not amazed about our skills?!"

"Not in the slightest. Your bragging about having no skill."

"You want a fight?!" He shouted his face going red.

"This is so tiring. Your the one who was openly talking about attacking me. I'll fight you if you want, it doesn't change the fact that your weaker than me."

"Fine!"

The boys all drew theirs swords and took a stance with the boy who was level 7 taking the initiative and jumping at me with his sword above his head and leaving so many openings he would die the second I move.

I held up two fingers and caught the sword.

"Who did you say was pathetic?"

"What? I'm clearly stronger than you! Your cheating somehow."

"Oh yeah? How?"

"I- I don't know but I'll figure it out and kill you!"

"That's a bit much just because you think people like someone more than you."

"Shut up!"

The other two boys ran to both my sides and they went for a horizontal slash across my waist. I jumped up and landed on top of their blades.

"Your going to rip my clothes if you do that. I've still got to wipe of some ogre blood as well now that I think about it."

Tess was busy laughing at the attempts the boys were making at killing me and how unbothered I was about this.

"Tess you know it's not polite to laugh when someone is trying their best." I said to Tess who was now cackling on the floor hunched over.

"Pfft- HAHAHA- I'm sorry, it's to funny. They are so slow and predictable it's funny." She said wiping a tear from her eye.

Enraged by Tess's remark the level seven boy went for a horizontal slash from my left but I quickly transformed Adonis into its katana form and blocked his blade before he hit his friend.

"Careful there you almost hit your friend." I said before jumping back and letting them all charge at me.

'Should I try melt their swords with [Elemental breath]? Tess would find that entertaining watching their reactions as their swords melt in their hands.'

I activated [Elemental breath] and used just the fire element. Heat welled up in my throat and felt as if it were bubbling I then breathed out and flames came rushing out and towards the blades of the boys. The fire that touched the swords started melting it and within 3 seconds the whole blade was melted other than the hilt.

"What! How dare you melt our blades!" One of the level 6 boys shouted.

"Your so dead." The level 7 boy said.

"What are you going to kill me with then? Your fists? You couldn't even scratch me with a sword so what makes you think you could kill me. I couldn't even use you as sword practice."

I transformed Adonis back and went over to Tess and got her to stand and then we just left. The boys were standing there with their fists clenched and tears threatening to fall out of their eyes.

Tess was still chuckling to herself.

"What's wrong with you? Your going to pass out if you keep laughing so much."

"Sorry, that was the most fun I've ever had."

"What are you on about that was boring not even worth as pass time."

"Maybe for you but they were getting what they asked for and the looks on their faces are so funny."

"Yeah yeah."

We continued walking back to the ruin where I saw my mother and Kein chatting with the man I spoke to before and the parent of those kids who are still in the forest.

Tess and I walked over to say hi and I asked how long we were staying here and they said until the three boys got back from in the forest.

"They may take a while." I said giving off a shrug.

"And why is that?" The man said.

"They said they wanted to kill me and attacked me so I melted their swords and they are probably still there cursing me." I said with a straight face.

"What?! Why would my boys do that?" The man said taken aback.

"Yeah why would they?" Mother said looking at the man with a glare.

"They said I was stealing all the attention which should have been theirs and I was too pathetic and weak to have their spotlight." I replied answering the question.

"Those boys." The man said angered by his own children's selfishness.

"It's fine." I said.

"I'll go and drag them back to make them apologise." The man said bowing before flying off.

"Wanna eat some of the birds we killed?" Tess asked me, "I'm pretty hungry."

"Sure I'll do the fire."

I gathered some sticks and arranged them in a cone shape and used a small amount of [Elemental breath] to light it. We then skewered the birds and cooked them over the fire. I noticed mum looking at me a little concerned so I gave her a wave which she returned before going back to Kein who was talking with the other parents.

'Well today was productive.'

"Hey Kiera even once we are back at our mountains can we hang out sometimes?"

"Yeah sure."

We sat in silence enjoying the atmosphere and finished eating the bird meat once it was cooked.

The man and his three kids were back and came over to apologise.

"We are sorry for all the trouble we caused, we hope you can forgive us." The boys all said through gritted teeth.

"It's fine." I said.

Tess walked back to her mum and was returning home so I waved her goodbye which she eagerly returned.

'You were nice to have around I guess.' I thought as Tess flew off with her mum.

It was time for me to return as well so mother and I said goodbye to everyone and flew off back to our mountain
