His dilemma didn't end there.
As Vince moved further down the snowy forest, he kept encountering corrupted monsters.
Unlike the first time, however, he was now less anxious and more confident in himself. The more he fought, the more he learned how to kill corrupted monsters.
It also helped that the monsters he encountered after his first kill weren't as difficult as the first one and were much easier to apprehend.
This led him to conclude that the entry exam wasn't meant to cause great harm to the examinees. Based on the strength of the monsters, Vince assumed they couldn't have been of a high-power class before their corruption.
Panting, Vince was relieved when he finally saw light at the end of the forest.
It had taken him hours.
All he needed to do now was get down the mountain, find the exit portals, and he would pass the survival test. The thought made him excited.
