Nojiko took a few cautious steps back before firing the gun again. She was sure the shot had hit Luffy due to how close they were, so she covered her eyes to prevent herself from seeing any blood.

When Luffy caught Nojiko's hand that wasn't holding the gun, the girl immediately opened her eyes in a panic and, without thinking twice, fired successively at Luffy's chest. Yet, the bullets seemed to sink into Luffy's body before gently falling to the floor below them.

"Poor Nojiko, you sisters are really out of luck...I don't know if you know what a devil fruit is, but I am a devil fruit user, and your gun doesn't work on me."

Nojiko's eyes immediately widened because she had heard stories about devil fruit from old man Genzo, but she didn't think that on this remote Conomi island, she would meet a devil fruit user.

Luffy then grabbed Nojiko's hand before dragging her into the house. Despite her attempts to rebel but being unable to do anything due to Luffy's strength, Nojiko could only cry helplessly.
