how can I trust a thief like you?

I had to wait quite a while before Luffy finally came out of his room. When he did, I tried to sneak a peek inside, but he quickly stopped me and shut the door with great force.

"Could there possibly be someone inside? I thought I caught a glimpse of Uta's voice."

Luffy simply grinned and responded calmly, "Yeah, we both sleep together a lot, so if she's scared or worried about something, she'll come to my room."

I only raised my eyebrows in slight surprise, but I didn't know what kind of relationship they had or their past, so I put those thoughts deep in the back of my head.

"So tell me, what are you doing on a night like this in front of my room?"

Just as I was about to explain my purpose, Luffy suddenly grabbed my hand, and I, who initially thought to brush it off, chose not to do that and let Luffy take me somewhere.

"Why did you bring me here?" After we had stopped on the side deck of the ship, I became perplexed and asked Luffy about it. While taking in the sights and sounds of the sea at night, I listened to his explanation:

"I dunno. I just had a feeling you were going to talk about something dangerous."

I just chuckled, but I was surprised because, from the start, I did have bad intentions, but I then acted normal and replied, "I just want you to take me for a walk around this ship."

Upon seeing Luffy, who gave me a suspicious look, I could only maintain my smile, which had now become rigid. But after listening to what he said next finally broke my smile.

"Would you like to find a place where we store our treasures on this ship? Too bad we're not pirates but marines, so there's no such thing as a treasure box here."

A few days ago, at first, I had doubts and couldn't believe it when Luffy and Uta already knew that I was lying and knew my purpose, but it seemed like it was true, so I took off my theatrical mask and said frankly:

"Since you and that girl have said that you guys don't care, can you let me do it?"

"Do what?"

Seeing the jovial smile on Luffy's face made me uneasy for some reason, so I quickly answered, "Stealing... I want to steal all of the treasures that are in this marine ship, and I need your help to do it.

Luffy suddenly laughed, but I more or less knew what he was going to say next, so I just waited for his response, before long he held my hand again and said:

"You're pretty crazy, huh? Since when were we that close? Uta and I said we didn't care, but that doesn't mean we'll help you, right?"

I responded, "I know... but don't worry... you guys can get your share too, and I'll make sure you guys get plenty," and I was pretty heavy-hearted as I said that because, in this world, other than my family and oranges, money is something that I value the most.

"hoo, how can I trust a thief like you? Didn't those two poor guys fall into your trap? Look at them now. No one believes their words."

I know what Luffy meant, and to be honest, I also feel sorry for Johnny and Yosaku because they're just two naive guys, but after remembering what's going on in my hometown, my resolve is strengthened again.

"So...how much do you want?...but please, I really need this money, and I hope you won't give me an unreasonable number.

Luffy looked surprised, and after that, he smiled before replying, "I didn't expect you to be that mature, but I have a better offer for you. You can even keep all the money."

Instantly my eyes flashed with excitement, and this time it was me who held Luffy's hand tightly as I hurriedly said, "What is it? If I can keep all the money, I will accept the offer you made."

Somehow suddenly, Luffy's aura changed. His smile, which previously felt warm and calm, suddenly became cold. His gaze also stared straight into my eyes before dropping to my feet.

When I saw his face coming closer, I intended to retreat, but in the end, I just stood still and waited to see what he wanted to do. In the end, all he did was whisper something in my ear:

"Let me do what I want with your body, and you can keep all the treasure on this ship to yourself."

Although I didn't fully understand what he meant, for some reason, my body immediately got goosebumps, so I hastily covered my chest and took a step back.

"Somehow, I can't believe you and also your strange request. Before you explain it in more detail, I don't want to accept your offer."

"It's up to you, but remember, you don't have much time on this ship. You can think about it yourself. I want to sleep now."

After that, Luffy actually walked away, leaving me alone here, and the goosebumps sensation that I felt before disappeared to be replaced by a gust of night breeze that calmed my chaotic mind.

Like Luffy said, my time on this ship isn't much, and Arlong will definitely get suspicious if I stay out for too long. I don't know if everyone in Cocoyasi village is still alive if I don't get home soon.

After taking a deep breath, I also walked away to return to my room, but along the way, I was still thinking about what Luffy had said earlier, and the more I thought about it, I somehow got a bad feeling.

"What does he want to do to my body? What a strange boy," I muttered in surprise, but without realizing it, a path that had been prepared for her had been paved in front of her, and the person who did it was none other than Luffy.
