after killing the remaining guards, i released every single prisoner in the wing, even if they wanted to kill someone in this wing. They would need to wait until we all leave safely... there are 17 of us, we barely had enough weapons for all of us.

One only had a choice of the bow or the sword, with an excess in the sword department, many forced to use bows.

For our arrows, we picked up the useful and intact arrows, most of them were fine, some were broken and have missing arrowheads.

I could hear soldiers surrounding the building, i could tell this time... they are proper soldiers.

Peeking outside the window, i could see a knight leading the battalion... guards are slowly moving in towards the entrance of the building.

I called out all the archers and told them to ready their bows by the windows, we only have 15 seconds before they notice.

We readied our positions within 7 seconds, another archer is beside me. We aimed and notched our bows within 4 seconds.

Then fired at them, looking at it, it seems we have killed 4 of them. They have noticed us and readied their shields at us.

They started calling out their archers, i notched an arrow and aimed at a guard who has his shield raised.

Shooting his foot i forced him on his knees. Notching another arrow i shot his other foot forcing him to collapse.

After that my group fired another volley of arrows, one killed the downed guard with a headshot, a couple managed to slip through their shields and hitting 2 guards on the shoulders.

Their archers arrived and returned fire at us, i shouted out "take cover!" Most of them immediately dropped down, except for one who was a bit slow and got shot in the head.

The arrows they used against us are made of iron, which is superior to the arrows them militia used.

For a moment it was quiet, so i raised my head to check, the archers were aiming their bows at the windows waiting for any heads to appear.

Which was mine, and suddenly a whole volley of archers went to fly at my head, but i immediately ducked down before any of them could pierce through my skull.

The shieldmen had their guard down though... nothcing an arrow, i told the man furthest from here nicknamed, shieldbreaker to peak his head and immediately ducked, i hope...

And so he did, i could hear the arrows hit the stoney floor. Immediately i peaked with my arrow notched at my bow and took down an archer.

Immediately after that the archers finished reloading and fired back at me. After they did i shouted out "they used an arrow! Quickly fireback at them!"

Most of them got the memo and immediately shoot their shots, as most of them hit their targets.

And the enemy shieldmen created a shieldbarricade, completely blocking out our attempts at firing back at them while they are reloading.

At best right now... i could trick them into using up most of their ammunation...
