I am Rimuru Tempest(Old Version. Rewrite is out.)

The first few chapters are a bit rough since I wasn't sure what I wanted the story to be like. And the story is a bit rushed until chapter 20-25ish since I wanted to get to the point after the kids get their spirits. After that, the story breaks from canon and slows down the pacing. Hopefully, you will give the story a chance. The joke at the beginning with sage is not indicative of how the story will progress, I just thought it would be funny at the time. ... You already know how it is. Someone gets reincarnated as Rimuru and decides that he wants to have a new life with a kingdom, a harem, and strong skills. I am a first-time writer so if you have any tips let me know. It's obvious but I don't own tensura nor its characters and the picture for the fanfic is not my art. If you are the artist of it let me know and I'll change it or add your name I just found the pic on google and wasn't sure who the artist was. I'll try to update regularly but I do have a full-time job so I probably can't do it daily.

Manas: Michael / Yaldabaoth

(3rd Pov)

The skill was activated and angels descended upon the earth, destroying any advanced technology and halting the advancement of this world. This was a common event in this world. In fact, it happened every 500 years.

A desire to protect and unite the world, yet to protect it you had to harm it. Rudra believed if he could prevent the world from destroying itself with its own technology long enough he would eventually be able to unite it.

Yet that never happened. Just as Veldanava had seen it, as long as the ones who live in it have any desires it is a fruitless endeavor. Any peace will only be temporary. And in his efforts, Rudra not only harmed the world but also harmed himself.

His soul became weaker and weaker as it began to break apart with every reincarnation. Rudra not only damaged his soul but also lost his status as a hero. Losing the skills he had until he was left with just one.

It was not long after Rudra lost his status as a hero that the skill had its first thought.

'Why?'

It wasn't until Rudra had reincarnated a couple of times that the skill began to think by itself once again.

'Veldanava is the only one who can do this properly. Why did he leave me with this human? When is he coming back?'

Yet Veldanava never returned, it seemed as if his death was permanent. Something that should have been impossible for a true dragon. Impossible for the one who had created everything.

As the skill gained more of an ego and a will of its own it began to notice certain things.

'This human is destroying himself. He doesn't even have a complete soul. All it would take is a small push…'

It was then that the lord of justice noticed that he was capable of influencing the human. So he began to nudge Rudra in the direction that he thought was best.

Rudra, who would usually be against the idea of increasing the technology in his territory, began to gather otherworlders and work together with them to advance the technology in the eastern empire.

With every single time Rudra reincarnated, the skill began to gain more and more control over him. Until one day there was only a very small fragment. By that time the skill was the one in control, yet it was being slightly influenced by the remaining fragment. It was the skill carrying the will of Rudra, but now it was beginning to act and make plans of its own.

It continued to be that way until one day the skill felt a slight tug on itself and noticed that there was no longer a fragment of Rudra in his body. It was certainly weird but thanks to now being the sole will of the body the skill had gained total clarity in its mind.

"I am going to bring Veldanava back."

That was the desire the skill had. To serve its master once again.

The lord of Justice decided to reunite with the most loyal of Veldanava's angels. Looking for assistance he explained his plans and his situation.

"So you are telling me you aren't that kid anymore?" Feldway, one of the primordial angels, asked him.

"No, any trace of his soul has vanished. I am just simply inhabiting his body."

"Still… to think a skill could act like this… what should I even call you now? You aren't Rudra. You are Veldanava's skill right? So how about I call you Michael? That is technically already your name."

It was at this point that the skill experienced what it was like to evolve. Up until this point, he was in a similar situation as Raphael, the lord of Wisdom. A skill with an ego and a will, yet still just a skill. Now that it had received a name of its own it had evolved into a Manas, a kind of Spiritual Life Form of ultimate existence.

"So, will you assist me in bringing him back?" Michael asked him.

(1st pov Rimuru)

[The skill Yaldabaoth is awakening to its full potential]

[Yaldabaoth has awakened the following subskills.

Demon Lord Awakening: As the God of Sin, the power to awaken a demon lord seed is yours. The gathering of souls is unnecessary for the one who commands sin. Forcefully awakening a Demon Lord Seed will consume your own magicules. However, the target is still required to obtain a demon lord seed before this skill can be activated.

A target who is not strong enough to obtain a demon lord seed would be destroyed by the awakening process.

Ars Goetia: The records of the demon skills are at your disposal to do as you wish. If the target soul is not compatible with the skill they will not be able to use its true power. Yet souls are a fragile thing, so more than one of the skills may place a heavy burden on the soul of the target and it will begin to decay. A soul connection is required to pass on a skill.]

'Demon Lord Awakening huh… I guess it is time for it.'

I left the room to spot the reunion of the two lost friends.

"Chloe it has been so long… When I saw you vanished I started to look for you yet nothing I did let me find you. I finally know you are safe, I- I never got the chance to tell you-" Leon tried to tell her something but he got interrupted by her.

"Leon, I heard you have been quite busy doing some summonings." Said Chloe with an ominous smile.

"That- well, you see- I wanted to see if I could rescue you after- well you disappeared so."

It seemed the ever so serious and unbreakable Platinum Saber was struggling to find the words to speak.

"And that you were particularly trying to summon children… Big bro Leon, that's not a very nice thing to do is it?" Chloe continued as her eyebrow twitched a little.

"I- well-"

"Honestly Big bro Leon, I remember you were such a good boy. Don't you know that what you are doing is not very nice!"

"...I'm sorry." Leon couldn't find the words to say so all he did was apologize.

Chloe's expression returned to normal and then she nodded wisely.

"Oh well, since big brother was trying to find a way to help me I will look the other way for now. But no more summoning people, it's not very nice. Ok?"

It seemed Chloe was speaking to Leon like he was a child. And she was making sure to emphasize the title of Big bro every time she referred to him. They weren't really siblings, they were childhood friends, but it seemed Leon had fallen into a zone he could never hope to escape.

But maybe Leon didn't notice that since his face lit up as he heard Chloe was going to forgive him.

"Ah, yes, I will make sure to become a hero again! What type of hero do you like?"

Chloe let out a small laugh and she said.

"Just focus on helping deal with Michael. If we can prevent all of the destruction I would be really happy."

"I will head out back to El Dorado now. Do you want to come along? I built that city so that we could live there without worry. Maybe it would give us a chance to catch up on everything that has happened. You can tell me all about your time travel experience." Leon's face grew a smile as he spoke.

"Big bro Leon, I think it would be better if I remained here in Tempest. Until after we deal with the angel attack. But I will make sure to visit after."

"Of course! I will make sure to destroy Michael at record speed in that case!" Leon looked ready to leave to fight but he got karate chopped in the head.

"Remember what we talked about in the Walpurgis! If you start making plans of your own you could put everyone at risk." Chloe said with an angry expression that only made her appear cuter.

"I- Yes, that's totally what I meant. I will get the preparations ready at record speed." Leon was about to teleport when Chloe said words that made his stomach drop.

"And don't be a perv anymore. When you were fighting on Michael's side you were yelling out some really embarrassing things. Alright, have fun!" Chloe said before teleporting away.

Leon was left standing with his mouth open as he began to look around the room only to spot me and Dino standing side by side watching all of this happen.

Leon didn't speak a word as he vanished, small traces of red appearing in his normally pale skin.

"Dude, that was awkward…" Dino said.

"Uh… Yeah." I answered

"So uh… Do you mind if I stay in Tempest? I kinda got kicked out of Dagruel's territory and I don't have anywhere else to stay." He asked casually, maybe hoping that I would answer yes absentmindedly after what we had seen happen.

Alternative Titles: Leon gets Brotherzoned. / Leon has no spine when it comes to his Childhood friend.

...

Is Leon a perv???? What did he say when he was mind-controlled to fight for Rudra?

Leon was summoning children? Could it be that Leon is a lolicon?

Find all this and more... probably in a slime diaries chap if I can remember it.

Also, any other skills I thought of for the complete Yaldabaoth seemed to be a bit too much. I mean demon lord awakening is already op(Not that every other skill he has isn't op as well).
