Leveling up

Axel smiled evilly as two fireballs lit up in his palms. The fireball left his palm and floated around his back. He cast more Fireball and more fireballs joined the empty space in his fireball.

The fireball rotated, and it moved in a circular way that made him look like a god. The goblins got intimidated by the scene.

Their whole body trembled and their legs slowly move backside, as their jaws opened wide. Without any warning, the goblins turned back and ran at their full speed.

But Alas, their speed wasn't that fast enough to outmatch the speed of fireball that came at them like a bullet.

SQUEAK!

Their painful scream echoed at the quiet forest, the smell of burnt meat flowed in the air, making wild beasts follow the scent.

And finally, the bodies completely burned into ashes which got accompanied by the air and scattered all around the environment.

Ding! T-RING!

Four notifications stacked upon each other, and as Axel thought it was the end of the screen, a big sound echoed in his air, making him jump.

DING! DING!

[Congralutations for leveling up for the first time]

[No Extra Rewards given - Initial leveling rewards; All stats increased by 1, HP and MP refilled]

[Skill (Fire Manipulation) and (Telekinesis) leveled up]

[Fire Manipulation -E: Let the caster cast fireball which is hotter than the previous one and consumes less mana]

[Telekinesis -E: Let the caster hold heavier stuff with less mana]

"Nice rewards..."

Axel breathe a sigh of relief as his mana, continuously decreased by 100 which made him exhausted a little.

Roar!

But he couldn't rest much longer, a black wolf with a very sharp gaze and sharp claws rushed at Axel,

Axel, who didn't notice the wolf immediately jumped and covered his chest. The wolf's claw scratched the arms.

But fortunately, his body was sturdy, so the wounds weren't deep. But Heavenly Saint Body, which was only known for its defense wasn't much use with sharp objects.

The body could endure most of the physical and magical damage with some sharp object too. But very sharp objects or, any sharp object enchanted with magic could give much damage to the body.

.But even if the body could handle many attacks, the body owner will still get his HP drop. Heavenly Saint body is only useful for not getting injured by any attacks.

If the damage was also nullified then the Heavenly Saint body owner would be invincible.

[Took a hit - -10 damage (150/160)]

"Damn you! You dare to sneak up on me!"

With a menacing look, Axel cast a fireball on his side and also cast an energy blade in his fingers.

Bang! Boom!

The fireball with an incredible speed fired at the wolf but due to its agility and sharp vision, the wolf avoid all the fire.

But Axel wasn't only fixated on fire magic as he rushed at the wolf while continuously firing fireball at the wolf.

As the wolf avoids the fire, Axel closed upon the wolf and with a slash, he attacks the wolf head.

"HOWL!!!"

It screamed, the blood spurted out from the neck, but due to the wolf's sturdy bones, the energy blade couldn't pass against the bone and only give up a huge wound.

But that was only Axel could do due to his weak blade which wasn't prepared to cut everything. But he managed to give quite a damage to the wolf.

Whimper!

The wolf whimpered in pain, it couldn't stand still and due to blood loss, it fell on the ground.

Axel walked towards the wolf.

"Rawrr!"

It glare at Axel but couldn't do anything. But Axel wasn't that stone-hearted.

Seeing the state of the wolf made him sad too since now it looked cute. But with a cold heart, he stood, and with an emotionless face, he raised his energy blade.

"Sorry, this world works like that. I will give you the quick death."

"Ra-Raw!"

The wolf couldn't even open its mouth. And as Axel said, he pierced the wolf heart and gave it a quick and merciless death.

Swoosh!

But the bushes behind him suddenly move, making him surprised once again. But this time it wasn't a beast nor any monsters.

It was only two small wolves. To be precise, children wolf or pups. They were small and thin, looked like they were malnourished.

And they without caring about Axel ran at the big wold who laid death. They licked the mother wolf's face, and make a cute sound to wake it up.

But the wolf was dead and couldn't wake up even after the countless tries of the pup.

The scene was way too emotional. Tears fell from Axel's eye since he was the one who kill the mother of two children.

He was filled with guilt, he thought, 'Ain't I the monster, to separate the mother from their children.'

The pups whimper and sit near mother wolf hoping that it would wake up and give them some food.

Axel walked toward the two pups.

"Rawrrr!"

The pups were not that welcoming. They trembled due to fear but still have the courage to protect their mother.

Axel gently carried the two pups.

The pups resisted, they bit his finger and roared. But Axel hugged them. He brought them near to his chest and stayed like some minutes before the pups stop resisting.

They simply didn't have any energy to move.

So, Axel dug a small pit and buried the mother wolf's body there. And prayed in his heart.

'I know, I am not a good person. But, I am not that heartless to let two innocent lives die. So, I don't know if it qualifies but I will take care of them in your stead. So, forgive me.'

He prayed in his heart and carried the two sad pups with him... back to his mansion.

"I have a lot of work to do."

He murmured to himself while running. He exit the forest and flew in the air. In some minutes, he arrived at a big mansion which was his.

He land on the balcony and entered his room where a small girl was cleaning the room with a bright smile on her face.

Although I have to say, this chapter became emotional. I wasn't going to add the emotional part when I was thinking but the idea came naturally.
