Tony Meets Ultron

A while later

Tony and Viktor walked into the facility with General Ross trailing behind them.

Viktor ignored him and said happily "Tony, don't freak out, okay? You're going to love this guy…" Tony pursed his lips and said "I've been in suspense all day, what is it?" Viktor shouted "Ultron!"

Tony froze and stared at the hallway as a young man walked towards them with an expressionless face. Though his steps were a bit quick. He stopped in front of Viktor and said slowly "Viktor…"

He turned to Tony and his face contorted slightly as he said "Tony Stark." Tony stared wide-eyed and said "You're… Ultron!?" Ultron replied flatly "In the flesh." Tony said "Excuse me." as he pinched Ultron's skin.

Ultron slapped his hand away and Tony said in shock "You're really…" Viktor patted his shoulder and laughed "Real human! Not synthetic at all!" Tony stared at Viktor and asked "How…"

Viktor pulled Ultron along and explained to Tony, "Through various DNA samples, mostly blood along with the Nano-bot technology and Extremis. He was created in a tank, I transferred his consciousness into the brain from the computer."

He leaned over and whispered "He has Steve, Yours, Mine, and Emma's DNA. I didn't tell Steve this." Tony whispered back "Are you insane! Extremis can be used like this too?!"

Viktor nodded and said emotionally "I told you that it was amazing! The cells were created through a mass of blood! His skeleton is infused with Vibranium, and his flesh was saturated with traces of Vibranium…"

Tony nodded and said "The silver is over saturation! I see…" Viktor said emotionally "You understand!" Tony looked at Ultron and smiled "Dad came to see you." Viktor's face changed slightly but he forced a smile.

Ultron looked at Viktor before saying "Not really." Tony chuckled and looked at Ultron, walking around him with his hand on his chin as he said "Incredible. Vitals?" Viktor replied "Completely stable. He's 11 months old now."

Tony clapped Ultron's shoulders and asked "How do you feel?" Ultron said "Uncomfortable." Tony took his hands off him and said "I see. Uh.. How have you been?" Viktor stayed silent and looked at Ultron, also wanting to hear.

Ultron looked at Viktor and Tony before saying with a frown "Very strange. Sometimes I have pains in places there shouldn't be pains in. Sometimes, I cry. I even laughed once. Vision said that these emotions are human emotions. They are very strange and I don't fully understand them."

Tony asked "What have you been doing? I mean, you're not trying to drop a meteor on anything, so I assume you're happy here?" Ultron's face was ugly and he said "I was just doing what I thought was right. I didn't understand before…"

Tony asked "You do now?" Ultron pointed at Viktor and said "He helped. A lot." Tony turned to Viktor and paused before shouting in shock "You hijacked my kid?!" Viktor was stunned before shouting "What are you saying?! I don't understand!"

Tony said in shock "You really did! I can't believe this!" Viktor coughed and turned to Ultron, who was confused, asking "And? Being an Avenger, how do you feel?" Tony shut his mouth and looked at Ultron.

Ultron held his chin and replied "It's… nice. I am happy here. Vision helps me understand things. Although, the twins, Falcon, and War Machine don't talk to me usually. We've had a 53% increase in success rates with me joining. We… saved a lot of people."

Tony patted Ultron and smiled happily "Good. I'm proud of you." Viktor asked instead "Are YOU happy, Ultron?" Ultron fell silent and Tony said "he just said he was happy, you're asking again?" Viktor shushed him and said "I want to know the truth, not what the others want to hear, okay? If you're not happy here I'll take you away."

Ultron smiled slightly, replying "I am enjoying myself. It would be nice if… I had more friends." before shaking his head and adding "I am happy. Thank you for caring…"

Viktor smiled from the bottom of his heart.

Tony was about to say something when Ross' voice came over the intercom "Stark, Robotman, in the conference room. Immediately." Viktor frowned and said "Robotman?" Ultron floated away slowly, saying "I have to go." Tony said "He can fly?"

Viktor said "Yeah. He also has telekinesis." Tony said "Let's walk and talk." Viktor walked next to him and explained "As I told Steve, His over saturation made his silver parts as hard as Steve's shield, but his normal body is just as durable as Steve himself."

Tony nodded "Alright, what's the truth?" Viktor chuckled and whispered "His normal flesh is much more durable than Steve. His flight ability can go supersonic and can grow while his Telekinesis is also capable of growth. He's like the old Ultron, except he can't shoot lasers and he's less sharp."

Tony added "Also less psychotic." before turning to Viktor and saying "I would've really appreciated a heads up, by the way." Viktor asked him honestly, "Would you have stopped me?"

Tony fell silent and Viktor leaned close whispering seriously "You created a life, Tony. It's not fair to smash it to bits on its first mistake. Ultron is like anyone else, he makes mistakes too. You think he doesn't like you but I can tell that's not true!"

Tony looked at him and replied "Then what is it?" Viktor said directly "Shame! He can't even face you without feeling guilt. You think he wants to destroy the world? He wants to save people! Let me tell you, if he didn't fear anything before, he does now. His biggest fear is you, Tony. He's scared of disappointing you!"

Tony muttered "Just like a real boy." Viktor said "Tony, I'm serious. Steve gave him a second chance only because of my word. Look what happened. He really changed!" Viktor went on to tell Tony about the 7 months he spent teaching Ultron and observing him.

Tony asked "How do you know you're not being tricked?" Viktor shook his head and said "I don't. I have faith that he won't." Tony chuckled "Faith? I thought you weren't religious." Viktor replied "I don't worship 'God' but that doesn't mean that I can't believe in something."

He paused and thought 'Plus, 'God' really does exist… Odin sealed him in heaven…'

He changed the topic, saying "I'm sorry I went behind your back." Tony looked at him and curled his lips, slapping his back as he replied "Don't worry about it. Thinking about it now, maybe I would've wanted to stop you in the beginning… But I probably would've helped in the end."

Viktor chuckled and they walked into the room as he said "That's what I thought. Plus, you're hands off now. Adding another you is good for the team, you know?" Tony laughed and they sat down as he replied "Not too bad, you know my importance!"
