-Auror Headquarters-
In the mailroom of the Auror Headquarters in Whitehall, a package marked urgent and addressed to Lord Potter arrived, which isn't something new or odd.
The odd thing was that there wasn't any information about the sender.
After a quick scan for any harmful spells, enchantments, or potions, it was brought straight to Lord Potter's office, where a big meeting was happening between the upper-level Aurors.
*knock knock*
"Sir, you have some urgent mail!" The man that verified the package barges in with said package in hand, causing the whole room to go silent.
Sensitive information is currently being talked about and none of them wanted to be blamed for leaking it after all.
"Bring it here and be on your way." Lord Potter says and accepts the package.
As the mailman leaves, Lord Potter opens the package while still explaining what Tom told him.
Inside is a shrunken trunk with a small note taped to it.
[Proof
-Tom]
"What is it, sir?" One of the Aurors asked as he noticed Lord Potters eyes go wide.
Ignoring the Aurors question, Lord Potter enlarged the trunk with a tap of his wand and opened it up, revealing a sleeping man.
"What the hell?!"
"Huh? Isn't that the Ministers assistant?"
"What's wrong with his face? Is that makeup?"
Seeing the man's face, Lord Potter knew it wasn't makeup and couldn't help but remember what Tom said.
"Corrupted..." He repeated out loud. "Could this be what he meant?"
"...Sir.....Sir!" The Aurors break Lord Potter from his deep contemplation.
"What?" Lord Potter asks.
"I asked what we should do with him?" The Auror asked, still stunned by whatever is wrong with the secretary's face.
"Lord Riddle sent this as proof of his claims, so lock him up and administer veritaserum. Find out everything you can from him!" Lord Potter orders.
"Yes, sir!" The Aurors comply and close the trunk before shrinking it back and leaving toward interrogation.
"Wait!" Lord Potter yells as they're halfway out the door.
"Yes, Sir?" They ask.
"Call an unspeakable to investigate whatever that is on his face, and keep this between us. I wouldn't be surprised if the Minister has contacts in our office."
————————————————————
With the Aurors on his side and the information extracted from Hortensia's assistant, Tom returned to Kamar-Taj to find it filled with Masters preparing for battle.
Checking the normal spots, Tom found his mother in her office, surrounded by Masters talking about an assault on both the Minister's Mansion and Whitehall, the headquarters of the British Ministry of Magic.
"We can get into the Mansion easily. The problem resides in the wand wavers government building. Its wards are some of the strongest they have. There are a few ways in, but they would take time that we may not have." One of the Masters says.
"Yes, for all we know, they could already have everything needed to connect earth to the dark dimension. We need to nip this in the bud as swiftly as possible." Another Master agrees.
"True, but does anyone have a way in that fits our possible time constraints?" An elderly-looking master asks and no one speaks up.
"..." Everyone just looks between one another hoping for someone to speak up.
"I have a way in." Tom says as he makes his presence known.
Hearing someone new in the room, every Master turned around and entered battle-ready stances. Some even conjured eldritch weapons on instinct.
"Relax, it's just me." Tom says, slightly amused by their reaction.
"Tom, You're back just in time." The Ancient One says with a smile. "How was your talk with the Aurors?"
"They haven't been corrupted, or at least their leader hasn't." Tom answers and looks around the room for Thor and Loki. "Where are the Princes?"
At the mention of the Asgardian princes, many of the Masters faces scrunched in annoyance.
"You mean the ponces?" One of the Masters says with mirth clear in his voice, causing a few masters to burst out in small chuckles.
"Hehe, yes where are they?" Tom laughs openly.
"I have some Masters keeping watch on them. Never mind that. Is your way into Whitehall the Aurors?" The Ancient One asked.
"Yeah, I just sent them the Ministers secretary as proof, so they should be willing to help soon enough." Tom reveals.
"Wasn't that person corrupted by Dormammus influence? Is it safe to leave such a person with them?" One of the Masters asked.
"It should be fine. I didn't explain about Dormammu, but I dropped some hints for them. They've most likely called an unspeakable to look into the corruption. We just need to wait for them to interrogate the man and I'm sure they'll be very willing to help us." Tom says and gets a round of nods from everyone in the room.
"Now the question is should we attack the mansion now, or wait and attack both locations simultaneously?" Another Master asks.
"We should attack them simultaneously. I don't want to pressure them too much. Who knows what they'll do if they feel like they're being pushed into a corner." The Ancient One says.
"Yes, they could go into hiding or speed up their plans. Both possibilities aren't very favorable..."
