Irrational Awakening II

- 1 Month Later-

Inside the cave, the air was dense and humid, and within was a cocoon surrounded by a blood red aura.

Within the cocoon was Ash, who was currently going through some sort of transformation...

Deep beyond the layer of physicality known by the physical eyes... his entire genetic structure was being changed.

The rejuvenation of cells was entering unprecedented levels even after obtaining multiple genes related to the same.

His muscle mass was increasing, he was becoming insanely bulky and then.. he wasn't, his muscles instead of retaining their monstrously bulked state had began compacting themselves.

The same could be said about his cells themselves, they were strengthening themselves by compression.

By compressing themselves, the energy within was much more concentrated. And his genetics were becoming distorted... was he even human anymore?

He had the physical look of a human but his genes were entirely different than a normal man...

His cells now vibrating with a strong aura, dyed in a crimson red tint...

They began connecting, forming lines of cells leading to... his brain. The entire structure of his genetic sequence was altered by this "simple" transformation caused by the unknown bloodline he had obtained.

His brain was being reformed, it was unknown whether he was even alive during this.. his body looked lifeless. His skin became even paler than it was before, his skin losing all pigmentation, his hair becoming the purest shade of white.. he had turned into something different....

It was as though he'd become an entirely different creature, he had appeared as a human but deep down... his genetic structure was telling a different story...

Indecipherable characters began etching themselves onto his skin, appearing in the form of runes.

Within the forest, the beasts had long steered clear of his vicinity... this dominating aura had etched itself deep into the minds of all beasts alike.

*Crack*

*BOOM*

The cocoon had begun cracking and then imploded on itself.

Emerging from the remains of the crimson-cocoon was Ash, derived of pigmentation and void of a detectable aura source.

[ Ash's POV ]

I seem to have changed... my memory is perfect. I seem to remember every little detail of every instance in my life.

That group... I'll call them spiders, I have to thank them once I see them again. Hahaha!

I guess I just need to collect some more genes, I just wasn't strong enough. Though, dancing on the edge of death is the greatest thrill of them all.

*DING*

"Its Adam, I've been watching you. I have to warn you, obtaining (??????)'s bloodline may be the greatest gift and the biggest curse"

"While your mortal soul is unable to understand it's true name, in human words he is [The Devourer Of All]. Although you may have obtained his bloodline, it is incomplete."

"Also, even with his bloodline you will not be the same as him. Every owner of this bloodline has their own specialties but all in all, you will be a devourer of something."

"In your case, it will be a devourer of genes right? But I can't communicate with you for too long, he'll come and try to fight with me."

"Just remember this, you are different. You aren't human anymore, all feelings you had previously will vanish, only the principles you abide by will reside within you. You don't follow general morals, you have your own set and your genes enforce this."

"Devour, collect every gene you possibly can. This will be my last time communicating with you. I'll tell you this, you have limitless potential. It's up to you how you utilize it..." Adam had spoken these final words and his voice was fading out.

[General POV]

After hearing this, Ash wasn't in any way concerned with this information. In fact, he was glad. He now had a boost in power towards his goals.

Raising his right hand to break the boulder, he had noticed.. his left arm had regenerated.

'Huh? My other arm is completely made anew..'

He thought once and forgot about it, using Ren Ash had noticed... his Nen wasn't there...

His aura, gone... his Nen, gone... what had happened?

With his new form, Ash had developed hyperthymesia. His memory becoming nigh-perfect, his eyes being completely different from his previous "human" retinas.

Even after his body was strengthened by Nen and being able to see things that normal humans couldn't, his new vision was simply phenomenal.

He was able to naturally see the flow of aura without using Gyo, he could partially see the life essence of an organism.. lines of data were entering his eyes.

Eying an ant crawling on the ground, it had appeared in the form of data when it came to devouring its genes.

- 3 Months Later -

Ash had opened his new "aura" nodes, his aura was flowing in an entirely different path. Following a system, leading to his brain causing it to the be the strongest point in his body.

He still had his previously created Hatsu(s) but with his new found perfect memory he had believed the Spiders to be talking about his current genes in the form of "eyes" but his eyes didn't turn scarlet.

Ash believed the tribe to hold the [Devourer Of All]'s bloodline but immensely weakened, becoming something different but having the root of it.

Since Ash had the ability to devour genes directly, he had absorbed the true bloodline though it was nowhere near completed.

Over the past months, he had been training his Nen again. Although he didn't have his previous level of strength, his aura was more densely concentrated causing it to be more powerful than previously.

Performing a Water Divination, instead of having the previous manipulator signs... the water seemed to have turned into blood and began forming into a miniature Ash.

His entire Nen type had changed just from one bloodline, although this bloodline was definitely not what it seemed.

If Adam had personally come from his "Abode" to tell Ash about it, it must be detrimental to his success.

'I need the hunters license to explore more dangerous places, I need EXP dearly.' Ash thought to himself.

Understanding that the next hunters exam was 10 months from now, Ash had went home and got another work phone and began taking jobs.

- 10 Months Later -

Ash had registered in December, a month ago. It was now January, 1995.

[283rd Hunter Exam: Testing Site]

Inside of a hotel, he had been told to hit the 6 button three times to get to the Exam.

Hitting the 6 three times, the elevator suddenly began going down even though he was on the ground floor.

Arriving to it's destination, the elevator had opened its doors, revealing over 100 contestants hype and ready to participate.

Going to the examiner, Ash was given his contestant badge. He was number 123, wondering if killing was allowed, he had asked Silva before coming.

Looking around, he saw no one strong.. not even one Nen user. Everyone was going to fail and get disqualified, well that is if he wasn't here.

- 30 Minutes Later -

"Hey there, where are you from? This is about to be a breeze all of these guys are weaklings." A short muscular man had said to the girl next to Ash.

"None of your business, keep it moving fatso." The girl said.

After hearing, this.. the man raised his hand and back handed the girl causing her to slide into Ash's feet.

The blood from her nose began dripping onto Ash's shoes. Then, Ash looked at the man with a dead-pan expression and said "You didn't hit the right pressure point. If you wanted to kill her you chop at the neck like this."

After saying this, Ash had chopped a specific point on her neck crushing her airpipes making her lose all ability to breathe therefore killing her.

The man seeing this almost pissed himself in fear, he immediately backed away and screamed "Stay away from me you monster!"

- 5 Minutes Later -

"HUNTER EXAM, START!" Screamed out the examiner.

Immediately, Ash dug his feet in the ground and began launching concentrated strings of Nen at all the contestants.

He felt no need for the full examination, he was going to be the sole contestant. Disregarding the lives of all people in the exam with him, he began silently reaping the lives of all contestants.

The examiner, "Trazi" just sat and stared, not caring about the massacre taking place as it fell within the rules. No rules were violated with Ash's actions.

Screams filled the entire Hunter Exam, they were only normal humans who had trained extensively preparing for this moment.

Only to be greeted by the sickle of death at Ash's hands, disregarding everything about them. His hand held no mercy for those he already considered dead.

*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*

Countless notifications were buzzing in his head at the arrival of each death, he was receiving EXP by the second.

Finally, after 3 minutes of endless slaughtering these bunch as though they were merely chickens with their necks pre-washed awaiting slaughter, he had checked his EXP.

'EXP'

"So, Mr.Trazi did I pass? I'm the only contestant left." Asked Ash nonchalantly, currently covered in blood, his entire body dyed red with the blood of the fallen.

On Hunters Tavern, the secret website only accessible by Hunters, Ash was scouring for rare beasts with strong genetic abilities.

Strolling for a while, he had found one that had caught his eye.. 'A Cyclops huh.. that'll do.'
