It was a couple days later I sat silently waiting for my History class to start whilst fiddling with the moonstone in my hoodie pocket. The mystical artefact didn't look too impressive, but it held more power than most knew. It was strong enough to bind the wolf nature of Niklaus Mikaelson, and the future Hayley Marshall.
If anything, it was the bane of all Half breeds. Capable of caging what they truly were. The first item required for breaking the curse was in my grasp. Klaus himself would have a witch to cast the spell, all that remained was a Doppelgänger, vampire and werewolf to sacrifice.
There's no shortage of vampires in Mystic Fall, so getting one should be simple for the original. All that remained was the wolf and Elena. It seemed finding a werewolf would be the most challenging. I didn't plan to let Tyler or Mason Lockwood be the sacrifices. I'd made a promise of being a pack with him, and that extended to his uncle.
My best bet was a werewolf from Jules's pack, but they'd only come to Mystic Falls to look for Tylers's uncle Mason when he went 'missing'. Which meant he had to die. That entire situation was a mess.
Lastly was the doppelgänger. A pretty simple target considering. History would most likely repeat itself with Elena's life force being bound to her true father John Gilbert, resurrecting her and killing him.
At the moment my only task pertaining to sacrifice was to keep the moonstone safe and prepare for the arrival of Jules and her pack. The latter being more challenging. I planned to hide the moonstone once I found a secure enough spot, otherwise a witch could just use a locator spell and find it when I'm not there.
Until then the stone would stay with me.
My thoughts were cut off as a familiar face walked into class. Walking up to the chalk board he wrote out two words, 'ALARIC SALTZMAN'.
Turning to the class, he charmingly smiled "My name is Alaric Slatzman. I know, it's a bit of a mouthful. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, so you can call me Ric or Mr Saltzman. I'll be your new history teacher after Mr Tanners accident"
Another player had joined the game.

Tyler couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at all the Jewellery laid out on the bed. "This is nice and all, but I'm good Kira. Thanks," He chuckled.
Rolling my eyes I picked up a necklace and bracelet putting them both on. "These aren't for fashion purposes Ty. Each of them have Vervain inside. It'll stop vampires from compelling you until your curse is triggered." Picking up the second necklace and a ring I passed to him, "But It can be a fashion statement if you want" I grinned.
Ignoring me Tyler wore both of them, "Then why do you need it?" He questioned.
Adjusting my necklace I answered, "Well, it can be useful for when a bloodsucker gets up close and personal. You also need to start drinking vervain with your water." Taking a seat my legs crossed over, "But this all besides the point, I need your help today."
That clearly grabbed his attention. His head whipped around so fast I thought it might have hurt him.
...
I watched as Tyler and Alaric began what would be a short conversation on the towns history in the cafeteria. More specifically the Lockwood families involvement. We needed a subject the vampire hunter would be interested in.
If I wasn't mistake, tonight both Stefan and Anna would break into the school searching for the same item. The infamous Gilbert Journal. I hoped to get my hands on it right now.
Seeing the opportunity at hand I rushed out the cafeteria, making a b-line for Alaric's classroom. Walking as fast as possible, whilst trying not to look suspicious, it took me two minutes to reach there. My plan was to casually walk in, as if he was expecting me.
Unfortunately the door was locked. "Shit!" I cursed, noticing the lock wouldn't budge. Quickly checking if anyone was watching, my grip tightened, applying a little pressure to the handle. Gradually increasing my strength the door eventually gave out, until there was the sound of... something breaking.
The damaged door swung open with ease. I winced as my eyes caught sight of the mangled lock. So much for subtlety. Not wasting a seconds breath I shut the door behind me and began rummaging through every single draw in his desk. Eventually I spotted an old, brown, pocket sized book.
It was only a few seconds later that I casually walked out the classroom, trying not to draw attention to myself. The Gilbert journal was safe in my bag and now it was time to meet with a baby vampire.
Initially Anna was my target, but someone simpler had been tossed into the mosh pit. Ben Mckittrick. He went to Mystic Falls high with me and in canon he had been turned into a vampire at the hands of Anna. He was a sort of minion for her.
....
Gilbert residence
Jeremy was beginning to get annoyed as he explained himself for the third time, "I told you Elena! Mr Saltzman and this girl I met are the only ones I told about the Journal" He groaned. "Why's everyone so obsessed with that thing anyway?"
"Hot crazy stalker girl you told me about?" Damon asked impatiently.
"Yeah, I'm meeting her at the grill later. Why?"
Damon smirked silently. That was music to his ears. "Perfect! I'll drive you."

Ben was about to step into the grill, a little early for his date with Bonnie when he heard someone call his name. He'd already had a bad night, with Anna not finding the Gilbert Journal at the school, and now Bonnie had called to say she was gonna be late. Safe to say he wasn't in the best of moods.
Turning to the voice he saw pretty brunette, around 5'8 walking towards him. "Excuse me! Ben? I was hoping we could help each other." She smiled confidently
Ben recognised the girl. She went to school with him. Friends with Lockwood.
Ben impatiently stepped towards her, "Yeah? How can you help me?" He asked, not expecting much to come from this. He had more important things to be doing at the moment.
"I have the Gilbert Journal"
The statement echoed through the parking lot, nobody said a word. Bens eyes widened in shock. That was the last thing he expected to hear. Without a second thought he flashed forward grabbing the teen by the neck. "Who are you?" He hissed.
Kira didn't panic and gestured to hand chocking her. She couldn't talk without breathing. Noticing this Bens grip loosened, but still held strong. "It doesn't matter who I am. Or that matters is that I have what you want." Kira's eyes narrowed.
She had to keep up the human act. Ben was a very young vampire in age. He most definitely wasn't aware of werewolves and their role in the supernatural world. Who's to say how he'd react to another supernatural.
After a moments hesitation Ben released her. "Okay. Let's say you have what I want. Now what do you want?" This was his chance to get Anna's recognition. To succeed where she failed. Maybe then she'd take him seriously and stop treating him like a kid.
....
The following night I stood in the woods with a nervous Tyler. My deal with Ben had gone as expected. The vampire delivered an old sick woman from the hospital using his compulsion. Doctors predicted she had under half a week to live. The ideal candidate for Tyler.
We could have gone after some criminal, but Tyler was adamant he wasn't gonna kill some random criminal. Not like it would be easy to track down and judge someone who had done something worthy of death.
The lady was in a wheelchair and wouldn't survive the night without the hospitals support. Turning to face Tyler I gave him a reassuring nod. "This is it" I whispered. Taking a step back, my eyes shut as things ran their course.
Tyler's right hand clamped around her mouth, and his left held her nose, cutting off the air supply. The woman didn't even struggle, too weak to comprehend the situation. Her breathing soon halted and Tyler's eyes shined a bright gold.
Step 2 was complete.
