Learning the Dagger and the Partner.

The next few days they begin a steady routine. They travel for about four hours and then find a rest spot. Then they replenish, Hana by eating jerky and berries while Elias takes a blood tablet with some kind of blood wine that smells absolutely horrific. After letting their food settle he begins teaching Hana how to properly wield a dagger and various techniques to use if shes ever caught by surprise. It takes Hana several tries before she is able to break from his hold but once she does it she feels a tremendous amount of joy.

"You're doing really well for someone thats just started fighting", Elias compliments her.

"Thank you, the credit all goes to your excellent teaching though", Hana replies honestly. After three hours of practicing Hana's body feels like its going to fall apart. She collapses on the ground close to the fire and closes her eyes tiredly. She is by no means a lazy person but this much traveling and working out is exhausting.

"You're so dramatic", Elias laughs plopping down beside her prone form. Hana gives him a pout and sticks out her tongue. Vampires are like super human so he doesn't understand obviously she thinks. She's yet to even see the guy break a sweat. Do vampires even sweat? Hana thinks about asking him but it sounds like a completely absurd thing to ask.

"You know I always heard that vampires couldn't be in sunlight but it doesn't seem to bother you", she probes.

"Baseless rumor that someone made up. We typically were nocturnal because it was the better time to hunt our prey." He tells her this as if its the most normal thing ever and she can't help the shiver that runs down her spine. She doesn't believe he would hurt her but the fact remains that she knows he could and she'd be powerless against him.

Luna runs to the campfire dragging a stick longer than her and Hana can't help but roll her eyes at the goofy dog.

"So we are going through the Sun Kingdom to get to Westbarrow?", Hana asks wondering if maybe they should go around. She doesn't doubt they won't recognize her but the town knows Luna like they know every other villager. "I feel like having Luna with me will create questions".

"There is away to get around that but I'm not for sure you would be up for it. I could put her in a trance and carry her in my bag. It won't hurt her or anything but I know you love your pet so If it makes you feel uneasy we can go around the village. The only thing I must warn you about though is the likelihood that our rations will run short till we get to the next town to buy some more."

Hana looks at Luna feeling uneasy and then look into Elias's red eyes. His face reads thoughtfulness and understanding and despite her previous feelings she trusts him more than she probably should. "It won't hurt her", she asks one last time for reassurance.

"Not at all", he assures her.

"Okay, I trust you. When we are near the village do what needs to be done", Hana tells him giving him her permission to put Luna into a trance. He can see the guilt she feels and tries to comfort hee by laying a hand on hershoulder. She lays hee hand on his in appreciation of the gesture. Hana's eyes are drawn to his with the way the red sparkles in the fire's glow. His beauty only magnifying with his tender expression on his face.

Hana has never felt more attracted to someone in her life and she tells herself it's because he saved her that she holds him in such high regards. Which maybe is true but she can't shake how physically appealing she finds him. Realizing she's been staring at him for a little bit she rolls over facing the opposite direction. She hopes she didn't seem weird right then.

"Goodnight", Hana whispers doing her best to calm her nerves and sleep though her thoughts are racing. When she does eventually fall asleep he plagues her dreams some good and some terrifying. She feels like one of those air headed girls that are man crazed and wants to just smack herself out of it. This isn't like her.

Waking up she finds Elias closer than she had expected. They've always kept their distance while sleeping but this morning she finds him laying beside her. They aren't touching but it's close. His eyes are closed and his face is relaxed without any worries. She reaches out to touch a strand of his silky black hair before her conscious seems to grasp what she's doing. Its soft, really soft. She wants to run her fingers through it but this time she doesn't act on impulse. She pulls her hand back to her body and is surprised when she hears Elias mumble something in his sleep.

"Don't leave me, please don't go", he says in a strangled sob. Sadness washes over her at his anguish. Whether dream or memory whatever he was witnessing was making him distraught. she sees tears begin to fall from his eyes.

"Wake up Elias, your having a bad dream", Hana says softly shaking his shoulder. In reflex his arm shoots out grabbing her hand in a tight grip. His eyes open immediately and he blinks rapidly to clear his vision. He releases her hand quickly and sits up.

"I'm sorry Mara I didn't hurt you did I", he asks concerned looking her over for any injuries.

"I'm fine you didn't hurt me at all", she tells him worried about his reaction. "Is everything ok Elias?". He doesn't answer right away but puts his arms around my neck in a hug sobbing. Hana pats his back awkwardly not knowing what to do.

"I'll keep you safe Mara, I won't let anything harm you. I promise okay", he whispers. she doesn't say anything and just lays her head next to his listening to his breathing slow down as he regains composure.
