Innocent Lovebird

In another side of the city, a young man was having a beautiful dream, drooling and confessing how much he loved the girl in his arms, not even realising that the one in his arms is not a girl but an innocent old man, who was desperately trying to free himself from this devil's embrace from past five minutes. the man's hand slowly reached to stroke the girl's face in dream, scared if he touched, she would disappear.

"Why is your face so hard?" Reagan mumbled as he slowly began to open his eyes. The moment his eyes landed on his butler, he pushed both of them apart. He hurriedly sat up rubbing his eyes, as he glared at the butler, "What are you doing here??"

The poor butler felt wronged as he said "Young master, I just came here to wake you up for breakfast. you were the one who pulled me down and confessed your love." The glaring eyes suddenly turned into a blank stare has Reagan searched his brain for an appropriate words. after few seconds, he finally opened his mouth "I'm sorry uncle lee."

Butler lee smiled "That's okay, young master. you should come for breakfast, elders are going to be there soon."

Reagan recalling his strict father, got up and rushed to his wardrobe to pick his outfit. then again, he was in his parents house now. Does he really want to pick the outfit? Everything was ready in it's place except for our prince charming aka Reagan.

As Reagan was giving the outfit a thorough look as if contemplating weather to wear that or not. Butler Lee left the room for his young master to get ready. However he stopped at the door, sheepishly smiling with love in his eyes " I didn't know young master loved me so much." which made Reagan's ear turn red as he snapped his head towards the voice but the innocent lovebird had already fled into the air.

Reagan sighed and picked his outfit contemplating weather to break the old man's heart or not. For some known reason such as his dream, our Reagan was in a good mood and decided to leave the old man alone for now.

In Cadel family mansion, there sat old Cadel and his whole family to welcome the return of his grandson Reagan Cadel. The dining table was occupied by grandpa Cadel and his two sons with their respective family. the only person missing was Ryan, his eldest grandson. His eldest son Edwin and Lisa had two sons. His second son Joy had Susan and Reagan, the latter was sent to overseas the day he finished his under-graduation exams. To work at one of Cadel corporate branch in overseas to learn the business, so that he can join the company soon. Even though grandpa Cadel felt bad for snatching his poor grandson's youth. At that time, he had no choice but to send him away. It was important for his grandchildren to learn to deal with the world soon, so that they can handle any potential harms coming their way. There were eyes all over the country who were waiting for Cadel family's fall as much as they wanted the Cadel's support.

"So, why did you decline the president position in the company?" grandpa Cadel suddenly asked making everyone turn their head towards Reagan, who acted like he didn't hear anything and slowly chewed his food. Sensing everyone's eyes on him. He finally looked towards his grandfather.

"I like Vice-president more."

That received grandpa Cadel's high pitched response "what?? You like who??" which left elders around the table stunned as the young ones tried hard to supress their laugh in fear of drawing the old man's attention to them. But for everyone's surprise, Edwin Cadel's little laugh can be heard. who knew that the strict Edwin belonged to young group?

Which made Reagan roll his eyes as he rephrased his statement "I meant the position, grandpa." He put his spoon down giving his attention to grandpa Cadel.

Grandpa also cleared his throat and replied, "okay, do as you wish." which surprised the people around the table.

And now grandpa's attention shifted to jack, Edwin's youngest Son who was finding it hard to suppress his laugh with food in his mouth. "It is your final year in high, have you decided what to do after the high school?" to which our baby jack just blinked his eyes like a puppy which can be interpreted as 'why me? Why? Please leave me alone.'

Grandpa didn't look like he was impressed with the puppy sight, speak more about melting from his grandson's cuteness. "You better have a plan. And don't you dare cause trouble in school."

"Okay, how about you having a welcome party?" Reagan's father changed the topic, trying to save the family's young lad.

"That sounds good." grandpa also agreed with a nod.

"I don't think it's needed" Reagan responded has he finished his food. Grandpa Cadel was about to start the lecture before Reagan's mother, Susan came in to rescue her son. "Reagan, dad's suggestion is not bad. It is good to have a party, so that you can get to know the people. It will be helpful in handling the company well." but still our Reagan's stand did not change.

"I'm already aware of everything that involves the company. So, I'm not comfortable holding a party." he said in finalised tone leaving his seat. Which left the everyone present wondering why Reagan has become so distant with them. Most importantly, the boy was refuting his grandfather whom he never said no to. They turned their head towards the Old man to see his reaction to which it appeared like the man did not take anything into heart as he sipped his orange juice.

After the breakfast Reagan, grandpa, Edwin with his brother joy went to the study room to discuss about company matters where Reagan will be taking over has vice-president. As the others went about their day.
