Got in trouble

However, in Havenford Residence, things were not going well.

As soon as the car drives inside the villa, Zachary gets out of the car and makes his way inside the house. Behind him, there's a middle-aged woman who followed him.

"Zachary! How many times do we have to tell you to stop your antics?"

‘Here we go again.’

The young man seemed to hear nothing and just kept walking into the house. Zahcary was followed by his mother, who did not know what to do anymore with her child. He was involved in trouble again and it seems that he doesn't have any care for what happened.

Zachary stopped walking and faced his mother. "Mom, can you not make it as if it's a big deal?" he nonchalantly said. For him, it's not a big deal anymore. Almost every day he got caught up in any trouble.

He goes straight to the kitchen and takes a glass of water.

Zachary's mother – Beatrice – crossed her arm in front of her chest. Annoyance was written all over her face. She stopped near the kitchen stool and looked at her son.

She just shook her head while looking at Zachary. She started scolding his son. "If my assistant didn't tell me what happened, you would probably have still spent your day inside the jail."

Zachary fought with someone at the bar this morning. Their topic got out of control and that ended up in a fight. The man was beaten and almost fainted. Some things at the bar were damaged. Luckily, the people in the bar were in time to stop him, or else he literally killed that person. When he's mad, his rationality left him.

If his mother had not come to help him, he would probably still be in jail by now.

Zachary's father will not bat an eye to help him, even if he knows what has happened to him. He was too busy with his company to give some of his time to his son, and even to his family.

Does he even care for them? He scoffs at himself.

The family of the person he's beaten agreed to settle the problem and Beatrice paid for the damage he was done.

"I'm sure, you and your father will fight again when he finds out about this!" His mother wants to give up on him... on them, but she knows she can't do that.

Zachary stated plainly, "Then don't tell him about it."

As if all the things that happened were as simple as he says it. If it were only as simple as words, then he doesn't have any problem at all. But things were not as simple as they seem. They couldn't fix it nor change it to the way it was before.

"You know we can't do that. Whatever happens in this family, he will surely know right away."

"That's it!" He exhaustedly retorted.

Somehow, for some reason, he feels heavy. There's sudden pain in his chest, that even he doesn't know he still could feel that type of emotion. Wasn’t his emotion left a long time ago? He wants to laugh right now. He feels stupid.

There's a hint of cold expression in his eyes. "If I were you, Mom, I wouldn't waste my time thinking about those useless things."

Zachary came out of the kitchen. Beatrice quickly followed him and continued her nagging. Her face frowned and her voice carries a hint of anger and helplessness. "Where are you going? Can't you really stay at home?"

He stopped walking, then turned around to face his mother. Before speaking, he first bit the apple he got on the table a while ago, when he walked out of the kitchen.

"As if you care where I go. I know you and Dad are busy with your jobs, so why should I bother? Why are you still bothering with someone like me? Actually… you know? I'm quite surprised that you make time for me. I expected that your assistant or whoever you ordered, was the one who would come earlier and not you." he explained in a cold tone.

‘Ha! As if you really care. You only did this because it will be bad for your image.’

Zachary took his phone in his pocket and made a call.

He just looked at his mother for a moment before finally turning away.

Went straight out of the house while talking on the phone with his friend. The left hand holds the apple that he eats from time to time.

Zachary walks into one of his cars and gets in. He quickly drove off and left.

Zachary's face frowned as he drove. Until now, he is still in a foul mood because of the man he fought with earlier. If that man hadn't been told anything about his family, he would have ignored him.

If it was a nonsensical thing, maybe he can tolerate it. But, if it's about his family, he became irrational. Things about his family were his bottom line. It’s like they were mocking him and slap his face the true situation of his family.

His self-restraint and patience with that kind of person aren't that strong. Therefore, if one provokes him, he will surely smash their face.

The car drove slowly inside Maple Village. His car stopped in front of his friend's house. The security guard immediately saw his car, he immediately opened the gate so he could enter.

Zachary was always in his friend's house, that's why everyone is used to seeing him around. It was the only place that made him feel welcomed. Like a true home.

Zachary parked his car and unhurriedly got off. He put the car keys into his pocket and held his phone. Zachary leisurely walks inside the villa.

"Where's Rence?" He asks the maid he saw at the entrance of the house.

"In the living room, Sir." the maid politely answered.

"Thanks."

The maid bowed before she left. Then, Zachary went inside the house.

Zachary finds Clarence sitting on the sofa together with a girl. His face frowns as he looks at her, this one isn't the girl from yesterday that Clarence brought to the club.

"Your new girl?" Zach asked as he got closer to his friend. Clarence shrugged his shoulders, then grinned.

"How's your mother's lecture?" Clarence teases Zachary. He knows too well what happened in the Havenford Residence a while ago, even Zach didn't say anything.

"Tsk. You know it already. If you also want to lecture me, then I'll just leave."

"Hey! I'm just kidding, you know." Clarence glanced back at him.

It was at that moment, Clarence’s mother entered the living room. She was busy preparing their lunch when she heard the young man’s voice.

“Zach? What happens to your face?” Sarah asks worriedly.

"Senior Luz? Could you please get the first aid kit?"

She just looked at Zachary’s face. The wounds were not even treated.

This time Sarah looked at her son. “You punk! Why aren’t you treating your friend? Look at him!” she angrily scolded him.

“As if I’m the one who gave that to him.”

Sarah picks a pillow and hits him. “I didn’t mean that you’re the one who makes him like that. What I’m telling you is that you’re not treating his wound. Instead, you are flirting there. She can’t even sense that you’re not serious with her.” The last sentence was almost a whisper, but they definitely heard it all. Especially Zachary since Sarah sat beside him.

Sarah didn’t mind her son and continued tending Zachary’s wound.

“Don’t believe what my mom said, Jennica.”

The girl froze at what she said. A second pass and she’s glaring at him like she wants to punch him.

“What. Is. My. Name. Again?” she sweetly asks but you will feel her murderous aura.

“Jennica. You are Jennica, right?”

‘Why do I feel cold suddenly?’ Clarence thought.

“Zach, let's go to the kitchen. Let’s leave them”

They went to the kitchen and only the couple was left.

“My name is Kylie, not Jennica, you jerk!”

“Hey! Wait, let me explain!”

Sarah only shakes her head upon hearing their conversation. She wondered when was the time that her son would stop being a playboy.
