The Cafeteria

The next morning:

Chef Timothy brought those two people to Scarlett Inc. and headed straight towards the HR department as instructed by Ruby. The HR head took up the task and asked for their names and kept their photos in the respective files and then coordinated with them to set up the cafeteria. They were given identity badges and they officially became the employees of Scarlett Inc.

Chef Timothy was still in disbelief. But with the help of various people the cafeteria was set up in half a day. They decorated a room in a different way. He was mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the room.

After that, with the help of Dan and Ab, Timothy set up all the necessary appliances and named the cafeteria as the Liz Cafe. Little did he know that in future this Liz Cafe would become a world renowned brand. Everyone would visit this cafe from far and wide. That is for later.

Lisa was sitting in her office with her eyebrows creased. On her table were the resumes of the two newbies. She felt that she had seen this person named Dan somewhere but couldn't remember it now how much she tried. But who was Sophie? She was a computer expert. So, she enlarged their photos and then placed the photo in a software she created, which could alter the appearance of a person. It determines the facial structure of a person and changes the face according to the facial structure. She created the software for fun, but it comes handy at times.

She was shocked to see the results. She called Ruby via the intercom and summoned her immediately to her office.

Ruby reached there in two minutes and when she saw the results, even she was shocked.

"It's.... It's... It's him?", she stuttered.

"Yeah! It's him."

"How come he is here?"

"I met him months back in the samw mall our boutique is in."

"You got to be kidding me."

"No, I'm not. But the interesting point is... Why is he here?", she pinched her chin while deep in thought.

"I have the same doubt. Could it be...?"

"Maybe. But the point is, how did that news reach him?"

"Nothing impossible. He could have seen it in the news."

"We are back to zero again. The point is, why is he here?"

"Should we watch him?"

"Obviously stupid. But beware of the guy next to him."

"Why?"

"He is the most dangerous one."

Ruby was still skeptical. Seeing her look of disbelief, Sophie recounted an incident that happened back in her school days to her. Ruby had goosebumps all over her body just by hearing it. Sophie saw it with her own eyes. She applauded for her in her heart.

Both of them was lost in their own thoughts.

"What do we do next?", Ruby asked thoughtfully.

"We wait.", answered Sophie in no time.

"Uh.. huh... Do we need to call the old guys back? Just in case....."

"No need."

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely."

"At least let me call Max and Jose."

"They are busy with Techie, and I asked them to join this internship programme under our company as well as studies."

"They are studying?"

"Uh, huh.."

"When?"

"This month."

"Why doesn't anybody know this?"

"What's the necessity of letting others know?"

"Which programme?"

"Computer - Bachelor's"

"Wow."

"Um, Lisa, can I ask you something?"

"Sure"

"Where can I find C?"

Lisa did not answer immediately but raised her eyebrows.

Ruby blushed furiously.

"Why are you blushing?", Lisa smilingly asked.

"Bad girl! Don't tease me anymore!", she hit her playfully.

"C has not given you his personal number?"

"No."

"Are you perhaps interested in him?"

"Honestly, a bit. But he seems to be a complex person. I don't understand him much. I'm afraid things won't work out between us."

"Actually, C is a very simple guy, but, you need to delve into his mind to unravel his personality. He has closed himself in a shell. So, I am warning you beforehand, that unraveling him would be a huge problem for you."

"Oh, I like challenges."

"Okay, then, let me call C and ask him whether he can pick us up after work or not?"

"That would be great." Ruby was very enthusiastic.

Sophie called C and put the phone on loudspeaker.

"Hey Soph, what's up buddy?"

"Can you come and pick me up at 5 o' clock in the evening?"

"Sure. Um, Soph... Will you VP be there?"

"Maybe not. Why?"

"Ohho. No.. Nothing...."

"Really?"

"Absolutely!"

"Actually, Ruby was asking for your number and I did not give it to her. I thought that you might get angry.", she winked at Ruby.

"You did what? You!!!", he gritted his teeth in anger.

"Then, should I give it to her?"

"Obviously."

"Well, since I have made such a blunder, I shall compensate by asking her out with us. Is that okay?"
