Chapter 14: "Midnight Surprises and Weekend Escapes"

We finally reached the farmhouse around 11:30 pm, the darkness enveloping the surroundings, and the silence of the countryside creating a sense of tranquility. Ayesha had already informed her servants about our arrival, and they had prepared everything in advance. She had ordered them to set up two rooms – one for Karthik and Abhinav, and another for Ayesha and me.

To our surprise, we discovered that Abhimanyu and his fiancée, Ramya, were already there. Luckily, they were fast asleep, sparing us from any awkward introductions at that late hour. Everyone was exhausted from the journey, with Karthik particularly drained after driving the entire way.

We decided to call it a night, eagerly looking forward to the adventures that Ayesha had planned for us on the following day. It was going to be a weekend to remember.

On Saturday day morning

As I (Anupriya) woke up the next morning, I couldn't resist the allure of the villa's surroundings. The previous night, we arrived when it was already dark, but now in the morning light, I could truly appreciate the beauty of this place.

The villa had a minimalist and elegant design with its white walls and wooden interior, creating a refreshing and serene atmosphere. The lush greenery surrounding the villa and the vast swimming pool added to its charm, making it a perfect getaway for relaxation and enjoyment. The gentle breeze carried the scent of nature, and the chirping of birds completed the picturesque setting.

I decided to take a walk around the property, taking in the serenity of the place and feeling grateful for this escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was going to be a wonderful day.

As Anupriya was leisurely taking a walk alongside the pool and enjoying the pleasant weather, she started to sense the presence of someone behind her. A subtle feeling of being watched crept over her, making her uneasy. She decided to turn back suddenly to see who it was, but her surprise took a different turn.

Caught off guard by her own abrupt movement, Anupriya ended up losing her balance and, with a startled gasp, fell into the inviting waters of the pool. The splash echoed in the calm morning.

As Anupriya struggled in the deep pool, panic began to set in as she couldn't swim. The water seemed to engulf her, and fear coursed through her. Her desperate attempts to stay afloat were evident in her flailing limbs.

Amid her struggle, she heard two distinct sounds of laughter. The first belonged to Abhimanyu, which didn't provide much comfort considering the situation. However, the second laughter was from a beautiful woman who was standing beside him, their amused expressions evident as they watched Anupriya's predicament.

Anupriya was both embarrassed and in need of immediate assistance as she splashed and tried to keep herself above the water. The situation had taken an unexpected turn, and she hoped that someone would come to her aid soon.
