Exit and floo

Tom opened his eyes and he was in the room with the Phoenix essence in his hand.

He smirked then uncorked the vial and drank the drop from it.

As the fluid entered his throat it felt like drinking water after a day in the desert. The feeling of contentment was very pleasing.

There were no special effects of drinking it till making a Horcrux. So it was an investment for the future.

Tom walked back to the entrance gate and as he passed it closed itself once again and vanished from sight.

Tom covered his face with a cloth and exited the stairs. The opening in the wall also filled up. The owner didn't react when he saw Tom and continued to work as if he couldn't see Tom Which was probably the case since Tom sensed the special notice me not charm on himself but it wore off midway during the shop's exit

The owner looked at tom and his eyes widened in surprise and confusion and said "Oh! I am sorry, I didn't see you there are you here for the ice cream or the chocolates"

Tom just snarled and obliviated his above-mentioned conversation from the owner's mind as to not leave any clue that he was here for any future enemies.

He then exited the shop and made his way towards the floo network that was in the direction of 'The leaky cauldron'.

It was an easy way for people who couldn't aparate for various reasons like old age, fear of splinching, etc.

Tom then said the nearest floo exit from the wools orphanage and flooed. The feeling of using floo was like one second you see the previous location then the fire covers your whole vision and then you see the destination.

Floo network was a safe way to travel but it too had its restrictions like only limited places had the floo chimney and it could be intercepted by the ministry unless it was a private one like the Malfoys and the distance travel couldn't be too far.

If compared to the portkeys and apparation it would take it's place in the middle. Appration the shortest distance but the fastest, floo the mediocre with restrictions and the portkey with the ability to make international travels but hard to produce.

Tom enters the orphanage and glares at the matron for no good reason and laughs when she recoils in fear. His remaining days were spent re-reading the books, bullying the orphanage children whom he remembered to have hurt by once and practicing his innocent smile in the mirror.
