Chapter 444: Pyramid of Pharaoh Hermes

"... You three, take these plates, knives and forks." Mrs. Weasley said to Ron, Harry and Ivan, pointing her wand a little more vigorously than she intended at a pile of potatoes in the sink, which shot out of their skins so fast they bounced off the walls and ceilings.

"God, those two!" he said bitterly, picking the potatoes off the ceiling one by one with a dustpan. "I don't know what's going to happen to them, I really don't. No ambition, unless you count on making as much trouble as they can..."

Mrs. Weasley pulled a large copper pan out of the cupboard and slammed it down on the kitchen table.

"It's not like they don't have any brains," she began waving her wand inside it. A creamy sauce poured from the tip of the wand as he stirred it. She waved harder and harder as she said angrily, "But they're wasting them, and unless they recover soon, they'll be in real trouble. I've had more Hogwarts owls on them than all the rest put together. If they keep going the way they're going, they'll end up in front of the Office of Misuse of Magic."

She jabbed her wand at the cutlery drawer, which popped open.

Ivan subconsciously recoiled because he noticed Mrs. Weasley glaring at him angrily.

"And you, Ivan!" under Mrs. Weasley's control, the knife began to cut the potatoes. "I don't blame you, you're a good boy, but I don't think you should be helping them with those studies, especially with such a large sum of money!"

"It's all the money they made from the props they sold in the store. I didn't give much help." Ivan quickly said, "Their products are very popular, and they have great potential in this area. I think..."

Ivan could no longer speak, because he saw Hermione standing next to Mrs. Weasley and watching him.

Only then did he realize that he had to behave better to be forgiven by Hermione.

Obviously, what he just said to forgive Fred and George had nothing to do with good acting.

"I can't see what potential they have, and now they've fallen to play tricks on Muggles, like those evil black wizards!" Mrs. Weasley put down her wand and pulled out more pots.

"I don't know where we went wrong with them..."

"Come on, Ivan!" Ron said in a rush. "Let's get these out."

He and Harry opened the drawer and pulled out the dishes and silverware inside.

Ivan also thought it best not to stay here. He followed them quickly.

In the courtyard, Hermione's ginger cat, Crookshanks, came darting out of the garden, bottlebrush tail in the air.

He was chasing a gnome, who looked like a cheap potato with legs.

When Hermione went to Ivan's house, she didn't take Crookshanks with her, but sent him straight to Ron's.

Crookshanks saw Ivan and meowed intimately.

Besides Hermione, he had the best relationship with Ivan, often going around him.

Taking this opportunity, the gnome dove into one of the Wellington boots scattered around the door.

Crookshanks hurriedly left Ivan and ran toward the boots, ready to catch the gnome.

In the courtyard, Charlie and Bill were flying two battered old tables over the grass, crashing into each other.

Each was trying to knock the other's table into the air, and Fred and George were cheering.

Bill's table caught Charlie's table with one big blow and knocked one of its legs off.

At that moment, there was a roar from above.

They all looked up at the same time and saw Percy's head poking out of a second floor window.

"Will you guys keep your voices down?" he yelled.

"Sorry, Percy!" Bill said with a smile. "How are the boiler funds going?"

"Pretty bad," Percy said angrily, and slammed the window shut.

Chuckling, Bill and Charlie steered the tables safely onto the lawn, end to end.

Then, with a wave of his wand, Bill repositioned the table leg, and conjured the tablecloths out of thin air.

By seven o'clock, dinner was served.

Dinner was going very well, and they were settling in to eat under a clear, deep blue sky.

To Ivan, who had just said goodbye to the ruins of the fallen centaurs, it all looked like heaven.

So did Harry, who had been living on increasingly stale pie meals all summer.

On the dining room table, chicken, ham pie, boiled potatoes and salad, pudding and other delicacies piled on plates.

No one was talking about those unpleasant subjects; everyone was talking about the World Cup.

Ivan asked Bill about some things related to his work, as well as news about the Emerald Tablet.

"It's a very important alchemy book, carved on an emerald tablet and placed at the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets of the Pyramid of Pharaoh Hermes!" Bill said, "Although it has been discovered for 2,000 years, the exploration and cracking of the pyramid has not been completed until now. There are countless curses there. We still haven't found the Pharaoh's coffin. This pyramid is the most dangerous pyramid we have found; God knows how many died in it."

Listening to Bill's description, Ivan longed for the ancient and mysterious Egyptian pyramids and the hidden treasures there.

Breaking a curse is a dangerous job, but it's really interesting. Ivan was also tempted to apply for it.

After defeating Voldemort, it was a good choice to work at Gringotts or become an explorer.

Next to him, Mr. Weasley was telling Percy about Barty Crouch.

They had been talking all night, but Percy still had more to say.

Halfway through dinner, Mr. Weasley conjured candles to illuminate the darkening garden.

Moths fluttered over the table and the warm air was scented with the smells of grass and honeysuckle.

Everyone ate very well and chatted contentedly.

"Look at the time," Mrs. Weasley said suddenly, checking her wristwatch. "Children, you should go to bed, we have to get up early to see Sirius tomorrow. That poor man, I hope he's all right."

"Dumbledore said in his letter that he was fine and out of danger." Harry said hopefully, "If he recovers enough, he'll be able to go to the World Cup with us."

"I hope so. After you see Sirius tomorrow, you'll be going to see the game!" Mrs. Weasley said, "Ivan, Harry, Hermione, if you leave the school list, I'll get your things for you the day after tomorrow in Diagon Alley. Anyway, I'm going to get everyone else's. There may not be time after the World Cup, the game lasted five days last time."

"Hopefully this time too!" said Harry enthusiastically.

"Well, certainly not," said Percy sanctimoniously. "I shudder to think what the state of my inbox would be if I were off work for five days."

"Yeah, maybe someone could slip dragon dung into it again," said Fred.

"That was a fertilizer sample from Norway!" said Percy, his face reddening. "It was nothing personal!"

"It was!" As everyone got up and left the table, Fred said quietly to Ivan, "That's what we sent him."

With a tight smile, Ivan followed the others to the Burrow.

He looked back and saw that Hermione and Ginny were still helping Mrs. Weasley with the dishes.

Ivan hadn't forgotten his business. He made an appointment tonight to talk to Hermione.

Even though she seemed to have forgiven him, the current mood was so appropriate for a quasi-date, and

Ivan didn't mind being alone with Hermione for a while before bed.
