The Party

For the next few weeks I kept very busy. What with school and training I was going from Dawn to dusk. Some days went well, while other days were very hard. I still have many issues with flying. I just can't seem to get it right. I wish I had others my own age I could practice with.

I have gotten very good at doing wards, shields, and protection spells since all my practicing has been by putting these spells around the houses of the dragons who have moved on to our street.

The good news is I no longer get tired by doing these spells. So my stamina is really getting strong. Now if only I can fly I would be set. I also want to talk to mom, Sky, and Ariana about learning to defend myself. I learned the typical self-defense for females my age but nothing more. I want more, and I am hoping Gabriel or the three brother will teach me.

So Mom and Ariana decided to throw a welcome to the neighborhood party. They set it up for the Saturday one week from now. The asked all of the people about their favorite foods and things. Then they spent the next week setting up for it. They cooked from morning to night for two days. They hung streamers and lanterns. They even got about a million twinkly lights and hung them up everywhere. I thought it looked really pretty. They even chose music to play for the party.

When Saturday got here we cleaned up and set everything up. We added a few more picnic tables to the backyard and pulled out the barbeques. Mom and Ariana decided to have everyone come at one p.m. We were ready and waiting when we saw the first family walk up. Mom directed everyone to the backyard. People started coming faster once the first family showed up. When Gabriel and his family showed up We got a wonderful surprise. It seems two young dragon's manages to survive the crossing. They grew up together, and when the dreams started they followed them to Gabriel. Their names are Destiny and Star. Both are girls about my age. I was glad to meet Dragons my own age. I guess the Dragon God heard my prayers. Maybe we can get to know each other and become friends. Because these to had raised themselves on the street they had no where to stay. But the good news is Bryan and Celeste offered to take them in. The girls were excited to have a real home and be with their own kind again.

Everyone was happy and enjoying themselves when there was a knock on the door. I went to answer it. When I didn't come back right away Sky came out to check on me. When she walked into the front room she say me talking to a boy of about nineteen standing at the door. Right away I knew she could feel the pull so she would know he was a Dragon as well. She walked over to us, and he turned to bow to her.

"Your majesty I am not sure if you remember me but I am Jax. I was Emily's intended back home. I escaped through a portal with a couple of girls during the battle, but we got separated and I ended up in the system for lost children when I got here. I was adopted by a nice couple, but they died in a car crash last year. Now I want you to know since We had a lot of issues I don't expect you to hold to your deal. I am willing to be a friend and hopefully be accepted into the group. The Dragon God told me to come here so I did."

"Would you give me just a moment please?" She said, and walk back outside. She goes to get the girls and bring them into the front room. They look at each other, then look at Jax, Destiny says," OMG Jax is that you? What happened to you? We looked for you forever." They all hugged and then they dragged him outside. She looked at me and asked, " How do you feel about them being here? They are all near your age. At least try to get to know them please. It will be good for you."

"How did you know I was going to object? I am just nervous, I don't know how to act around them. I mean I am not only a princess but also the chosen one. It puts a lot of pressure on me."

"Don't think about all that, just be yourself. Go talk to them. I'm sure they could all use a friend."

"Okay Sky I will try. Where will Jax stay?"

"Well I guess we should go back out and figure that out, don't you?"

We headed back out to the party. Everyone was laughing and talking. It turns out Gabriel decided to take Jax to his house. I was glad it was decided that way. Everyone was getting along well, people started breaking up into groups and talking. I. know Sky was happy to see me go hang out with the teens, talking to them and getting to know each other better. After about ten minutes I went over and spoke to Gabriel. I had a very important question for him.

"Excuse me Gabriel I would like to speak to you for a moment please."

"Of course, your Highness. How can I help you?"

"I was wondering if you would be willing to teach me and the others how to defend ourselves. I want to learn how to fight so I can protect myself and anyone else if I need to."

"I think that would be a great idea, let me talk to your mother's okay."

"I think that would be a great idea. I have been wondering how to bring it up to them, but I think it would be great if you do it. Thank you so much." Then I go back over to hang out with the teens. After a while We barbequed several meats. and had the salads and things that everyone brought. It turned out to be a great day, everyone got to meet and mingle. We found three younglings, and we had a wonderful time.

Mom came through for us again. I love this women, she is a true God's send. Thank you Dragon God for answering all of my prayers today.
