Guild World Online

In the year 2024, the gaming world is abuzz with anticipation as GGN, the leading game development company, invests 500 million yuan into their groundbreaking project, Guild World Online. Matheo, a skilled coder and gamer, finds himself at a crossroads when faced with the opportunity to join this revolutionary gaming experience. As Matheo left his former job, he learns about the unprecedented features of Guild World Online, including a full-dive system that immerses players into a realistic gaming environment. The game introduces a unique concept where every NPC possesses advanced Human AI, offering an unparalleled level of interaction. However, with this realism comes a harsh consequence - death is permanent for NPCs, adding a layer of intensity to the gameplay. As the countdown to the game’s launch ticks away, the narrative shifts between Matheo’s real-world challenges and the virtual realm of Guild World Online. The story unfolds as they navigate the complexities of forming alliances, building guild bases, and conquering domains in the expansive game world.

"Ah, nice! Now I can see my level; I didn't notice it when I first started," I exclaimed in amazement. "Indeed, you start at level 0 for a reason when you enter the world," Luca explained as he walked towards me. Together, we surveyed our surroundings.

"Hey, Dragonheart, I see a village at the bottom of the mountain. I think it's a starter village," Luca shared with a smile on his face.

"The village does look a bit strange, though," I remarked, gazing down the mountain. Broken rooftops and swords scattered on the ground hinted at a past battle or something. Despite my reservations, I followed Luca's lead, and we made our way towards the village. The descent was quite extensive, and after covering 10 kilometers downward, we were suddenly ambushed by 10 small Orcs.

 "Grrrrr"

 "Hit"

 "Grrrrr"

 "Slash"

"Okay, i killed 5 of them, do you think you can handle the other five?Luca spoke to me while glancing in my direction. "Yea No worries, leave it to me." I said while uns" In an instant i flashed forward towards the orcs *Shield Bash Skill* I bashed my shield forward with a light power inbound into my shield the orcs were kicked back by my attack. Two of them dropped to the ground, while the remaining 3 charged towards me wielding axes. I skillfully evaded and successfully defended against every attack, using my shield. Next, I assumed an offensive position and prepared to use my "Counter Slash Skill". I anticipated their attack and readied myself to unleash a powerful counterattack. As they approached, just before they could strike, I suddenly felt a surge of energy enveloping me, thanks to my newly acquired "Counter Boost" passive skill.

Three orcs leap into the air, bringing down their axes forcefully in an attempt to strike me. However, my counter attack swiftly strikes, slashing all three orcs in a single fluid motion, causing them to perish and vanish before they even touch the ground. "That was amazing! Alright, just two more to go. Let's do this!" With excitement, I quickly moved forward and unleashed my special skill, the Triple Slash. In just three swift slashes, I defeated both of them. As they faded away on the ground, I sheathed my weapon and turned my gaze towards Luca. "Wow, that was outstanding." I spoke with an expression of joy and delight.

As Luca and I continued our descent down the mountain, the village grew closer. The remnants of our recent battle lingered in the air, but my satisfaction with the victory fueled our determination. The worn path led us to the entrance of the peculiar village.

As we approached, the atmosphere changed. The air seemed charged with an unspoken history, and the village, though worn by battles, emanated a mysterious charm. We ventured through the rustic gates, entering a place that seemed frozen in a moment of time.

"Ow nice, we need 5 more Exp for leveling up," I remarked to Luca as we strolled through the quiet village. The narrow streets revealed glimpses of past battles — broken buildings, scorched grounds, and remnants of once-vibrant life.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. An elderly NPC, adorned in tattered garments, approached us with a weathered smile. "Ah, brave adventurers! Welcome to our humble village," the NPC greeted us, acknowledging our recent triumph over the Orcs.

Luca and I exchanged glances, uncertain of what lay ahead. The NPC continued, "Your battle has not gone unnoticed. Our village is in need of strong warriors like yourselves. If you're willing, i have a request for you." The elderly lady said to us.

As i walked around the village and looked around, i turned back. "Hey, are you the only one here in the village, I see no one else here, why is that?"

The elderly lady's eyes softened as she met my gaze. "Ah, young ones, I appreciate your eagerness to help. You see, a calamity befell our once-tranquil village. A marauding horde led by an Orc King descended upon us, raiding our homes and capturing every villager in their merciless grip."

A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she continued, "The battle was fierce, but the Orc King's might was insurmountable. Our brave villagers fought valiantly, but in the end, we were overcome. They took everyone, leaving only me behind, perhaps as a cruel reminder of our defeat."

She gestured towards the remnants of the village, a somber reminder of the once-thriving community now reduced to ruins. "Now, I stand here alone, the last guardian of our memories, seeking brave souls like yourselves to aid in our darkest hour."

Her plea echoed in the quiet streets as she implored, "I beseech you, adventurers, please help us rescue our kin from the clutches of the Orc King." As I advanced closer to her, I pondered. "These non-player characters have been constructed pretty skillfully," Luca gazed at me and said, "Let's lend her a helping hand; I believe this is a great mission to begin with. We could gain a considerable amount of money and experience, I'm sure." He spoke with a huge grin.

While crossing my hands i started thinking. "Okay so if we help here, i think it works like other games we get Exp we level up and get some money. And then i can put this in the guild and build it up or take it with me outside the world, Right now our balance is?" While thinking this i openend my status bar swipped right towards the guild tap."

"As I considered the situation," I scanned my surroundings, turning my head in various directions. "Okay, we're in. We'll help you," I declared, as Luca leaped for joy. "Alright, let's do this. Time to take down some orcs," he declared confidently, a wide smile gracing his face.
