Guide My Way

The eighth book for my Doctor Who fan fiction with elements of RWBY, Symphogear, Madoka Magica, Kid Icarus Uprising, the MCU, Sherlock, Torchwood, Ace Attorney, A Certain Scientific Railgun, and SAO in there. It will have me, the Doctor, obviously, the companion, whoever it might be. It will also have characters from RWBY, SAO, Symphogear, Madoka Magica, Kid Icarus Uprising, Sherlock, Torchwood, Ace Attorney, A Certain Scientific Railgun, and the MCU in there, all of us interacting with each other. The traveling, the hijinks, the running and traveling continues, and this could be the end for our heroes in the story.

The Aurum Brain

Skyworld...

Pit and Jared rush to the door to start the adventure.

"Let's finish the Aurum once and for all!" Pit said.

"Yup. The Aurum has been so annoying!" Jared said, looking over at Pit.

Pit and Jared leap through the door.

"Commencing Underworld assault on the Aurum central nervous system!" Hades said, telepathically.

"Children! Our final target is the brains behind this operation! The Aurum Brain!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Sun god Pyrrhon on the scene! Now with added Pyro Cannon action!" Pyrrhon said.

"With all us gods—er, and Pyrrhon—united, the Aurum Brain doesn't stand a chance." Palutena said, telepathically.

"It's kind of crazy! The biggest egos in the universe working together?" Pit asked.

"I know, right. I have a feeling this will happen again in 2018." Jared said, letting out a sigh.

"Drive the intruders back into space, minions!" Hades said, telepathically.

"We cannot lose! Our planet's very existence is on the line!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Do your thing, Pyro Snake! Shazammitylam!" Pyrrhon said.

"Everyone seems to be in good spirits, though." Pit said.

"Or they've finally lost it." Palutena said, telepathically.

"They totally lost it." Jared said, clutching his Palutena's Bow.

The Aurum Brain Fortress comes into view.

"Now that we've defeated the Aurum Hive, we need to take down that fortress." Palutena said, telepathically.

"It's huge!" Pit said.

"Super huge." Jared said.

"It houses the Aurum Brain, which controls every single Aurum unit." Palutena said, telepathically.

"How did you know that?" Pit asked.

"Oh, Pyrrhon told me."

"Man, is that guy obsessed with the Aurum or what? He sure knows a lot about them." Pit said.

"That's because I spend a lot of time on Divinipedia." Pyrrhon said.

"Divinipedia? Send me the link." Pit said.

"It's a real website back home for me." Jared said, smiling. "It has everything about Kid Icarus."

"About all of us? That's so cool!"

"It is. It's a Wikia page."

"The time for learning has passed. Attack the Aurum Brain!" Pyrrhon said.

Pit and Jared approach an opening in the fortress.

"We're heading in!" Pit said.

"This path will take us directly to the Aurum Brain. Come on, Pit, Jared! It's time for us to take this space junk to the space dump!" Pyrrhon said.

"Okay." Jared said, frowning.

Pit and Jared fly into a room containing the Aurum Brain.

"So this is the Aurum Brain…" Pit said.

"Yup. It does look like an alien brain." Jared said.

"Do your thing, Pit, Jared. You know, your...shooting thing." Pyrrhon said.

After a brief battle, Pyrrhon flies in close to the Aurum Brain.

"It's brain-frying time!" Pyrrhon said, excitedly.

"What are you doing?!" Pit exclaimed.

"He's doing a Cinder maneuver!" Jared said, worried.

Pyrrhon flies into the center of the Aurum Brain.

"Hold on, Pit, Jared! I'm getting you two out!" Palutena said, telepathically.

The room begins to explode as Palutena flies Pit and Jared away.

"Waaaaaaaah!" Pit said.

"I want this adventure to end soon." Jared said, frowning.

"Just a little farther!" Palutena said, telepathically.

Palutena flies Pit and Jared out of the fortress.

"I don't know what even happened in there! Did Pyrrhon make it out?" Pit asked.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! HA HA HA HA HA HA! Nicely done!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

A large projection of Pyrrhon appears before Pit and Jared.

"Pyrrhon?" Pit asked.

"Thanks to you, Pyrrhon has leveled up! I am now a Level Infinity Epic Super God...Plus! Ultimate power is now Pyrrhon's!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

"Oh, my god!" Jared said, holding his Palutena's Bow.

"What are you talking about?" Pit asked.

"This is what I'm talking about!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

Aurum troops fly toward Pit and Jared, their green forms turning red.

"The Aurum troops changed color!" Pit said, worried.

"Oof. This isn't good." Jared said, letting out a sigh.

"HA HA HA HA HA HA! I'm pulling the Aurum strings now! Not even the combined power of the gods can stop me!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

"Oh, snap! Poor Pitty and Flash Gordon got duped!" Hades said, telepathically.

"This might not be the best time to rub salt in the wound." Viridi said, telepathically.

"What kind of rat tricks an angel and a human, Pyrrhon?" Pit asked.

"What?! I can't hear you over all this awesome!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

"He has as big of an ego like Tony Stark!" Jared said, scoffing.

Pit and Jared continue to fight off Aurum troops.

"Yow! This is intense!" Pit said.

"So, anyone have any bright ideas on how to take him out?" Hades asked, telepathically.

"I suppose we have no choice. This is it, my single remaining jewel." Viridi said, telepathically.

A large, bright object descends from the sky and toward the fortress.

"Wait a second...is that a RESET BOMB?!" Pit exclaimed.

"Time to let nature take its course!" Viridi said, telepathically.

The Reset Bomb crashes into the fortress and expands into a Reset Bomb Forest.

"This is out of control!" Pit said.

"Who's awesome now, Pyrrhon?!" Viridi exclaimed, telepathically.

"HA HA HA HA HA HA! Is that really all you've got?" Pyrrhon asked, telepathically.

The Reset Bomb Forest bursts into flames.

"How could this happen?!" Viridi exclaimed, telepathically. "Ugh! Fine! The more power the better!"

Viridi opened up a small portal in front of Past Jared, for the ally of justice to be ready for what he is about to do.

Past Iron Man and Past Jared Shay climb higher and higher over the city, gaining speed, suddenly flings themselves through the portals. Communications die. The suit and Past Jared's face begins to freeze. Past Tony and Past Jared look in horror.

Past Jared's horror is exactly the same as Tony's. An armada. The black sky is filled with what must be ninety ships in a vague cluster. Most of them hang still in the air. Some move swimmingly about. Present Jared Shay spots his past letting go of the missile. It whistles off into the blackness as Past Jared Shay idly falls back down the portal's opening.

"One sneak peek at the future…" Past Jared said, sadly.

The missile reaches the main Aurum ship. But it didn't scratch the surface of it, as past Jared knew it wouldn't. But past Jared also knew that the missile past Tony Stark was carrying destroyed the main Aurum ship.

"That missile barely made a dent!" Jared said, looking at the missile.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the power of flight is running out." Palutena said, telepathically.

"So now what?" Pit asked.

"I'm sorry, Pit, Jared. I have to get the both of you out of there." Palutena said, telepathically.

A light shines down over Pit and Jared, but nothing happens and they remain in their spot.

"Oh no!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"What's wrong?" Viridi asked, telepathically.

"I can't extract them. I don't understand why." Palutena said, telepathically.

"That's because you don't have an associate's degree in telepathic interference!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

"Are you blocking me?"

Pit's wings start to catch fire.

"My wings are getting hot!" Pit said.

Jared's augmented reality wings have sparkles on them.

"The luminance of my wings are fading!" Jared said.

"I'm sorry! I can't carry you two any farther! I have to cut off the power of flight!" Palutena said, telepathically.

Palutena stops granting Pit and Jared the power of flight, sending them falling toward the surface.

"Waaaaah!" Pit said.

"Pit! PIT!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Mayday! Mayday! This looks like the end! I never learned how to reeeeead!" Pit said, worried.

"Ugh, pull yourself together! I've got the both of you covered." Viridi said, telepathically.

"Viridi!" Pit said.

"All you have to do is line yourself up with the platform below."

Jared started to do a classic landing strategy that he used to do with Team RWBY which involved summoning a whirlpool of water below him, and he aligned himself with the platform to land straight on it. His eyes glowed blue and got a vision of the near future.

Jared's mind palace…

If Pit fails to align himself with the platform.

"Waaaaaaah!" Pit said.

"Well, that went poorly." Viridi said, telepathically.

Platform...

Jared's eyes stopped glowing blue and went back to the brown hue they were before.

"Pit, follow the sound of my voice!" Jared said, looking up at the sky.

"Okay!" Pit said, landing on the platform Viridi sent in. "Ouch…"

"Whew, I'm glad you're all right." Palutena said, telepathically.

"But why did you save us, Viridi? I don't get it." Pit said.

"There's nothing to get. Just shut your yapper and get ready to fight!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"By invading our land, the Aurum have declared war on all of us. And with Pyrrhon on their side, they've become even more powerful! If we don't defeat them today, we may not have a tomorrow." Palutena said, telepathically.

"And that tomorrow for me involves Sword Art Online, ALFheim Online, and Gun Gale Online. I helped reboot the universe to save Kirito and the others." Jared said, smiling.

"Ugh, do two you ever get tired of being such nerds? All you need are twenty-sided dice and some thick glasses." Viridi said, telepathically.

"My X-ray specs allow me to see your ignorance." Palutena said, telepathically.

"And your ignorance is telling me to play Dungeons and Dragons with you. What's a beholder's favourite food? Eyes Cream!" Jared said.

"Yeah yeah, enough with the lame comedy routines. It's time for us to strike!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"This isn't much space to fight on." Pit said.

"Picky picky! Maybe this will suit His Majesty and his jester a little better."

Forces of Nature troops fly in with another platform, connecting it with the previous one to make one large platform.

"Thanks! This is MUCH better!" Pit said.

"It really is." Jared said, happily.

"It looks like Viridi has also donated some of her forces to carry the platform. But this platform is bigger, so there's more room for enemies. Stay on your guard!" Palutena said, telepathically.

An Aurum Aircraft Carrier flies overhead.

"That Aurum ship flying overhead is the size of a continent!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"If it were me, I wouldn't sweat it." Hades said, telepathically.

"Enemies incoming, Pit, Jared!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Get your own platform, jerks!" Pit said.

"This one is ours!" Jared said.

Jared and Pit took out some Aurum troops.

"That Aurum ship is going to engulf your entire platform!" Viridi said, telepathically.

The Aurum Aircraft Carrier lowers itself over Pit and Jared, placing them inside the ship.

"Augh! We're trapped!" Pit said.

"Damn." Jared said, annoyed.

"Aurum vermin!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"They're well coordinated, I'll give them that." Hades said, telepathically.

"Be careful, Pit, Jared! Those walls are extremely hot!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Children! Full speed ahead! Hyah!" Viridi said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared approaches a Dohz.

"There's an Aurum Dohz ahead blocking your way! Get rid of it!" Palutena said, telepathically.

Jared's eyes glowed blue and he got a vision of the near future.

Jared's mind palace...

If Pit and Jared fails to defeat the Dohz.

"Drat! I guess you have to go around." Viridi said, telepathically.

"That's one tough customer!" Pit said.

"Yup." Jared said, sadly.

Pit and Jared exit the ship.

Platform…

Jared's eyes stopped glowing blue and went back to the brown hue they were before. Pit and Jared successfully defeated the Dohz.

"All right!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"My thoughts exactly!" Pit said.

Pit and Jared exit the ship.

"We made it out of the ship!" Pit said.

"Thank goodness." Jared said, smiling.

"Good job, but there are enemies closing in from all directions. Watch out!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Our little sun buddy must have a thing for you, Pit and Jared." Hades said, telepathically.

"Of course he does. Pit and Jared are the only ones that loon considers equals." Viridi said, telepathically.

"I am more of an equal to Kirito than with Pyrrhon." Jared said, letting out a sigh.

A Kolma lands on Pit and Jared's platform.

"Ugh!" Pit said.

"Looks like you've got company." Palutena said, telepathically.

"That Kolma is trying to scam a free ride! What a deadbeat!" Viridi said, telepathically.

Jared took out the Kolma with ease.

"Attention, passengers! Those who fail to pay their fare must exit the vehicle." Hades said, telepathically.

The platform crashes into an Aurum Destroyer.

"Whoaa!" Pit said.

"What the?!" Jared exclaimed.

"You've got a battleship on your tail!" Viridi said, telepathically.

Another Aurum Destroyer crashes into the platform's opposite side.

"This is as dangerous as traveling with the Doctor!" Jared said, annoyed.

"Hoo boy!" Pit said.

"And one on your front!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"The two of you are being sandwiched!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Ah, yes, the old sandwich tactic. How delectable!" Hades said, telepathically.

"Shut up, Hades. Forces of Nature! Push that platform up and out of there!" Viridi said, telepathically.

The platform rises, freeing Pit and Jared from the Destroyers.

"Good! You two broke free!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Thank you, Viridi. That was awesome!" Jared said, excitedly.

"HA HA HA HA HA! I see you're hard at work!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

"Pyrrhon!" Pit said.

"Pyrrhon Creed Number 427: Hard work should always be rewarded! Which is why I got a present. For me. To destroy the both of you. It's Pyroblaster time!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

"Huh?! Uh-oh!"

"Shit!" Jared said, grabbing Pit's hand.

"Hold on!" Viridi said, telepathically.

A large, fiery beam suddenly shoots out from the fortress and connects with the side of the platform.

"Augh!" Pit said.

"This sucks hard!" Jared said, annoyed.

"Come on, Pit, Jared! No wimping out!" Viridi said, telepathically.

The beam dissipates.

"See? The both of you are fine. Though I can't say the same for my troops that were carrying your platform." Viridi said, telepathically.

"I feel terrible about this." Pit said.

"Same." Jared said, sadly. "They didn't have to do that."

"Our Forces of Nature allies made the ultimate sacrifice. But there's no point dwelling. I called for backup." Palutena said, telepathically.

The platforms fall from beneath Pit and Jared, sending them falling again.

"Whoa whoa!" Pit said.

"What the?!" Jared exclaimed.

Centurion Strongarms fly by.

"Centurions?!" Pit exclaimed.

Pit and Jared land on the platform again, which is now being carried by Centurion Strongarms.

"Whew. That was close." Pit said.

"Too close." Jared said, happily.

"Glad to see you and your friend are safe, Captain!" A Centurion Strongarm said.

"The centurions are in way over their heads!" Pit said.

"They mean well. They're just not very effective." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Pretty harsh words for your own troops." Viridi said, telepathically.

"Pull them out! I don't want them to get hurt!" Pit said, worried.

"Same! That's why I didn't want to invite any of my friends with me. To help us with this! Pull them out!" Jared said, looking at Pit.

"Then how do you two plan to make it to Pyrrhon?" Palutena asked, telepathically.

"We-we'll think of something!" Pit said.

"We live to serve, Captain! Your mission is to defeat Pyrrhon and eliminate the Aurum forces! We dedicate our energy and resources to helping you and your friend reach that goal!" The Centurion Strongarm said.

"...OK, OK. Then charge, soldiers!" Pit said.

Jared's eyes glowed blue and he got a vision of the near future.

Jared's mind palace...

If the first Centurion Strongarm falls, "Ow-oooooh!"

"Oh, no! We lost a centurion!" Pit said, worried.

"Shit!" Jared said, annoyed.

"If you both lose them all, you won't be able to proceed. And the two of you will feel very guilty." Palutena said, telepathically

"We'll be more careful!" Pit said.

If the second Centurion Strongarm falls, "Aaaaaaugh!"

"What have we done?! All the centurions are...are…" Pit said.

"They're dead…" Jared said, sadly.

"Actually, um... I have two more." Palutena said, telepathically.

"What?! Don't scare us like that!" Pit said, angrily.

"Seriously. Don't." Jared said.

"But these are the last of them. So, seriously. Be careful this time." Palutena said, telepathically.

If the third Centurion Strongarm falls, "Ooooo-hoo-augh!"

"There's only one centurion left, Pit, Jared! Guard him with your life!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Okay. We'll, um, we'll try." Jared said, sadly.

If the last Centurion Strongarm falls, "Oooh-egh!"

"So—heh heh—you were just kidding about having no more centurions, right?" Pit asked.

"No...I was serious." Palutena said, telepathically.

"HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Your game, my friends, are SO OVER!" Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

Platform....

Jared's eyes stopped glowing blue and went back to the brown hue they were before. He looked around to see that Pit was busy protecting all of the Centurions for him. And the ally of justice's body was running on autopilot for a bit.

"It seems as if our previous path into the Aurum Brain is, well, aflame." Palutena said, telepathically.

"You can thank Pyrrhon for that." Hades said, telepathically.

"You'll have to go around." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Okay. That's easy enough." Jared said, looking down at his Palutena's Bow.

The platform approaches an opening.

"Going in!" A Centurion Strongarm said.

"You've got Aurum enemies on your tail!" Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared take out the Aurum troops. The Centurion Strongarms carry the platform inside the fortress.

"There's an obstacle ahead!" A Centurion Strongarm said.

"Keep moving forward! We'll take care of it!" Pit said.

Jared took out the obstacle.

"Jump over the lasers to avoid getting hit!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"They're coming from the battleship outside." Viridi said, telepathically

"Ahh, alien ingenuity at its best." Hades said, telepathically.

"We're closing in on Pyrrhon!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"I hope he's decent."

"Get it together, Pit, Jared! My poor centurions are struggling. Destroy those enemies NOW!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"We're trying our best!" Pit said.

"Give us a break. Geez!" Jared said, annoyed.

Pit and Jared took out more Aurum troops.

"Some goddess needs to go to leadership training…" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Pyrrhon is right up ahead!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Halt. Halt. Stay. Away." Pyrrhon said, telepathically.

"Does something seem a little off about Pyrrhon?" Pit asked.

"He's acting like a Dalek or a Cyberman." Jared said, frowning.

"How can you even tell?" Palutena asked, telepathically.

Aurum Brain…

Two Centurion Strongarms carry Pit and Jared's platform into the boss room where they encounter Pyrrhon, who is fused into the surface of the Aurum Brain and twitching massively.

"01101011011010010110110001101100…" Aurum Pyrrhon said.

"Pyrrhon! What are you doing?!" Pit exclaimed.

"He's got too much power running through him!" Jared said, looking at Pit.

The battle initiates.

"Are you really controlling the Aurum, Pyrrhon? Or are they controlling you?!" Pit exclaimed.

"I...I...I will not be controlled…" Aurum Pyrrhon said. "WE WILL NOT BE CONTROLLED…"

"Oh, boy. What's he gotten himself into?" Pit asked.

"It's just as you both suspected. The Aurum Brain has overtaken Pyrrhon." Palutena said, telepathically.

"That's why I need an anchor. Or else I become...well...that." Jared said, letting out a sigh.

"INTRUDERS MUST BE PURGED." Aurum Pyrrhon said. "WE MUST CONSUME ALL."

"Just like bugs, the Aurum are powerful as a swarm, but not very bright." Hades said, telepathically.

"They're like moths drawn to the flame of battle. They live only to consume and destroy, like...hungry moths." Palutena said, telepathically.

"WE WILL MULTIPLY." Aurum Pyrrhon said. "WE MUST BE ALL."

"In that sense, they're pretty much like any other living creature. They're concerned with their own survival and propagation. Each species influences the other, and THAT is the cycle of life! But this…" Viridi said, telepathically. "This is just too much. It's too destructive and too unnatural!"

"This is why they're like Daleks and Cybermen. I knew the Aurum would be like them!" Jared said, looking at Pit.

"You're not wrong there. When it comes to the Aurum. The Daleks and Cybermen are also too destructive and unnatural."

"Well, they are an alien species. Of course they're not natural." Palutena said, telepathically.

"So they're just going to eat everything?!" Pit exclaimed.

"Not if the both of you stop them!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Stopping Aurum. They're my breakfast. Cybermen are my lunch. And Daleks are my dinner." Jared said, smirking.

"Just keep jumping and shooting to avoid Pyrrhon's attacks. However, you can't do powerful dash attacks while you're in the air." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Then I guess you need to balance jumps with dash attacks. Pay attention to Pyrrhon's attack patterns to time your attacks. Let him have it!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"YOU CANNOT STOP US!" Aurum Pyrrhon said.

Pit and Jared defeats Aurum Pyrrhon.

"Go back to space!" Pit said, angrily.

"Get the hell out of here!" Jared said.

"RAAAAAAAAAAWR." Aurum Pyrrhon said.

Aurum Pyrrhon begins to explode.

"Wah!" Pit said.

"What?" Jared asked.

"I need to extract the both of you!" Palutena said, telepathically.

The Centurion Strongarms quickly carry Pit and Jared away from the room.

"This seems familiar." Pit said.

"Super familiar." Jared said, laughing a lot.

"We've been doing this a lot." Palutena said, telepathically.

Skyworld...

Pit and Jared narrowly make it out before the explosion engulfs the interior of the fortress. Aurum Pyrrhon then uses his power to launch himself, and the fortress, back into space.

"With any luck, Pyrrhon will push the Aurum to the other end of the galaxy." Palutena said, telepathically.

"He finally does something useful." Viridi said, telepathically.

"Now we can get back to eliminating the real enemy. The Underworld Army." Palutena said, telepathically.

"So long, space scum!" Pit said.

Jared opened his international telepathic call to Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate.

"Girls? We have a sun god dragging an alien race to the other side of the galaxy. Can you give them some justice?" Jared asked, telepathically.

"Who?" Nanoha asked, telepathically.

"They're called the Aurum. A supposed sun god called Pyrrhon has them."

"Okay." Fate said, telepathically.

"We'll handle it." Hayate said, telepathically.

"Thanks. You girls from Time-Space Administrative Bureau come in handy. I don't want to call in the Shadow Proclamation because well..." Jared said, happily. "The Aurum is under your jurisdiction now."
