Chapter 1

Sigbin

It's almost evening, sky is getting dark. Everyone in the rural area is getting ready because any moment, from 6 p.m to 3 a.m the Sigbin a creature in the Philippine mythology would come out in the forest or in the dark area where they are staying, to suck some blood of their victims from their shadows. Sigbins are out at night so that they can hide and run freely in the forest after they finished eating. Most of their victims are animals and human. This creatures are nocturnal that's why they hunt in the night to easier for them to catch victims for their meals.

It's appearance is so horrible, it walk backwards, with it's head lowered between it's hind legs, looks like a goat, it's eyes are red and has the ability to become invisible to other creatures especially human. Only the one who give them foods can saw sigbin, if the owner of the Sigbin is dead or didn't take good care of them they are the target meal in the end in short Sigbin are cannibals.

Some of the families known as Sigbinan (those who own Sigbin) whose member possess the power to command these creatures, to kill their enemies or scare the people they want. So sigbins are become their assistant they keep them as their pets also for they believed that it gives them a good luck in so many ways.

Sigbin resembles to a dog and kangaroo but has very large ears which can clap like a pair of hands and a long flexible tail that can be used as a whip. Sigbin also emit a nauseating odor. It is believed to issue forth from its lair during Holy Week, looking for children that it will kill for their hearts, which it fashions into amulets. The owner of the said amulets believed that can give them power to be more healthy, gain more strength and have the power to lived longer more than 100 years old. This amulets may pass or given to the next heir and to their next generations.

In rural area called barrio "tago" theirs a celebration called "halad" meaning offering of foods to one of their godessess, everyone in that place cook delicious foods specially raw sheep, chicken for they will offer its blood to their godessess and some delicacies then bring all of them in their plaza for party.

Night comes...

After some rituals and party they didn't know that many Sigbin is eyeing the foods for they are hungry. They smell blood of animals that are about to offer in the mini altar, the yummy foods on the table where the people are eating and drinking while dancing.

A few moments later...

Other people smell like a rotten animals, others panicked and some vomit they can't take the bad smell. Elders came and said it is the Sigbins because they eat dead animals and corpse.. by eating dead flesh or corpse maybe can cause them smell like a rotten human corpse. So everyone in the party is scared and go to the post where lights are open, for they know that those bad creatures can't go near the lights. Then the Brgy.Captain of "tago" with his Brgy. Police do the search to get the sigbins. And ordered his other troops to get their cages and long sharp woods for it is used in trapping.

They search the forest where they saw the red eyes of Sigbin. Some of them make torch and others prepared ropes for it is their weapon when the sigbins were attacking people. Only to their surprises that the sigbins are heading to a near house called haunted, it is huge and the one who owns it is Mr.J- the old man who is 103 years old, no companion, no maids, but still strong as carabao. So the Brgy.Captain believes that the rumours is true that Mr.J family is wealthy because they own sigbins and said by the elders that Mr.J's father and ancestors preserves those jars in their dark backyard to preserve the baby sigbins, they conclude that it is the old man assistants (sigbins) who go to the party. Maybe he is to busy about their business in other country that he can't take care anymore of his animals, the reason why most of his animals are going elsewhere. The last time they check Mr.J together with his lawyer, go to States to visit his family. Another conclusion came that the main reason why his family is not going to pay visit haunted house because they don't want to see and take care those bad creatures. The last maid of the said haunted house is afraid also to go back even she has a big salary that can support her entire family.

Present. An hour later...

Then captain troops came rushing and said that upon searching the house of the old man they saw many jars, sap of coconut, blood from animals and so many scattered animals are dead like chicken, pig, goat and carabao. Maybe those where the foods the old man give to the sigbins to keep his companions alive. Other brgy. Police said some other jars are tightly close and saw a carabao-like creature with eyes as red as blood sitting at the upper part of the house, some immediately ran away from the house as they all know that it is not an ordinary carabao and has a skinny body.

Then ready their self again to return in the plaza hurriedly.

When all the Brgy. Tago are complete the captain said to everyone to stay in the post until 4 a.m cause the sigbins in that hour is sleep. He said to his men to be more active, vigilant and safe as always. The captain also command every resident to report any dead animals or people before going to their houses.

Since then when their is dead animals or found a dead animals in the morning they often blame it to a sigbin. They believe that only the sigbins are the one who attacks their victims at night.

Chapter 2

Ring of Fay

There once a beautiful girl lived in a far flang barangay whose name is Mary. She has a fair skin, beautiful hazel eyes, straight long hair that freely swayed by wind, pointed nose and pinkish lips. Looks like a goddess without even putting a makeup, she is a sight to behold. She is kind to everyone that almost men in their province adore her. She has so many admirer that always give flowers and gifts. Many women are envying her beauty. Since she is living near the forest only the mighty man can go there until 6pm., for they all know that the forest is a dangerous place when cover twilight starts. They believes that the forest is enchanted, it belongs to the fays and supernatural creatures. Other men who visited Mary once won't came back anymore because some say that after visiting Mary's house they became mute, blind and others got some serious accidents. They didn't know the reason behind those accidents. Then one day there's a folk healer told one of Mary's admirer who got healed and being paralized for 1 year. He said that the Fay who bewitch all the men going to Mary or start courting will suffer from any sickness and accident that can't be explained, it was found out later that it is all caused by the Fay who is inloved with Mary for a long time. The fay become angry every time men came in Mary's house and start to court her. The fay is always jealous everytime men in the province is praising and admiring Mary's beauty the reason also why Mary is still single when she turned 25.

One day when Mary is out of the forest to gather some woods, she didn't know that the fay who is inlove with her is following her every step. Until she noticed that the woods she is taking is turning into a beautiful Palace, she's already scared that some of the area turns into gold. Then magically appeared a handsome man in front of her, later on hold her cold hand and introduced himself, I'm Morgan, he said nothing to be worry and scared. I'm the prince of this Palace come with me, I want you to meet my parents. True to his words Mary go with Morgan (the fay). He introduces Mary to his mother Margareth (Queen of fay's) she is the most beautiful woman that Mary encountered in her entire life, looks like a young lady she wouldn't thought that the Queen of fay's is young, beautiful as her and his father Mario (King of fay's) is so handsome that she thought they were Prince Morgan's siblings only. The Queen and King are happy that finally his son introduced a lovely lady for the first time. Mary was shocked upon introducing her to the Queen and King as their new member of the family in the near future, she isn't prepared yet. She is questioning Morgan why she is introduced as their new member of the family everything is so fast. Although the fay's are great to her she even treated well and gave all she want but she don't want to stay in the Palace. She wanted to go in their home together with her family. Back then her status their is not good unlike the fay's comfortable living but, she is happy with her family. So she said to the fay's that she wanted to return in their home ASAP.

Prince Morgan became angry to what Mary told that she want to go back in their home immediately, he doesn't want Mary to go,but Mary always cry, sad and sick as the days passed by. Then the fay's decided to let Mary back in her family in one condition said the fay's. We will let you go home in one day only if you put this red ruby and gold leaf ring and Marry our son Morgan. Then the ring of Prince Morgan is out from its box.

It is protected and hidden in a secret passage. The reason why it is keep for a longtime because fairy rings are naturally occurring rings of mushrooms that are said to be locations where faries congregate. Royalty Fay's rings are specially made, it is cause of elves and faries dancing around in a circle at night. That any human who stumbles upon these festivities events or enters the making of fairies rings, they will force to dance until they are driven insane, die or pass out from exhaustion.

If Mary put the ring on her ring finger meaning that she'd already agreed to marry Prince Morgan.

Marry decided to put it in her ring finger without hesitation in her mind she will put it in her finger so that she can go home already, she missed her family so much, she is worried to what happened to her parents since she is gone for many days.

In Mary's home she saw a medicine man who is busy chanting some unfamiliar words and together with her parents do some rituals of lightnings black, red and white candles and put it in the basin with water. When the medicine man notice her, he was shocked and surprised that she is wearing the beautiful ring of fay. The medicine man said to Mary's parents I'm sorry it's too late your daughter is already married to the fay, I can't go on with the ritual for she is already owned by one of the powerful supernatural creature. Mary's parents cry all the time for they know that Mary is just going to bid her goodbye to them.

Then other day the fay's together with Mary appear in the house of Mary's parents they assure and promised that they well take good care of Mary.

Since then they didn't know what happened to Mary after a day of visiting her parents. All they know is Mary is now happy in the Palace of fay where she is living.

Chapter 3

The Fairy Man

Fairy man (Zandro) is very mischievous and capricious that even a passers-by in his area will go crazy and run for their lives. He loves to trick and make fun. His attitude can change from happy or friendly to ferocious without warning if he is somehow offended. Sometimes he transform from handsome man to ugly and horrifying creature. If he see someone who is in need he can be benevolent and helpful.

One afternoon he see a young lady (Atasha) who is singing near in his area carrying gallons, he heared her singing and was fascinated by her melodic voice. He followed the young lady in the river and even joined what she is singing. The young lady was surprised because she's the only person in the river and the voice she heard is came from a man. She's scared that even her small hair on the nape and skin hair goes up. She knew that elf, dwarfs, fay is near her. According to her grandparents stories, if someone suddenly feel goosebumps in any remote area or forest specially if you are the only one who is walking silent and a loner type of person creatures of darkness will get you.

Atasha immediately get some water and fill her gallons. When suddenly Zandro appears in front of her, it feels like a magic with rays of light in his back. This time Zandro's appearance is his original face in fairy land- human like beautiful, feminine-looking and have wings of a flying insect.

Because of shock, Atasha collapse and the next thing she new when she wake up is that Zandro carry her and bring her to fairy land. She vividly remember the huge tree they entered it looks like a wide door- a portal from other world.

Everybody in fairyland was happy to see Zandro carrying Atasha it seems that everyone is expecting them. There's a colorful entourage and band like a fiesta. Zandro said that it is their ways of welcoming new guest. They give gifts to Atasha most of it are golds and jewelries. But Atasha didn't accept any of it.

She roamed her eyes in all area that they are walking trying her way out but to no avail, this fairy land is heavily guarded. Every fairy was inviting her to fly with them others are so clingy and friendly that they want her to sleep in their houses and have some cup of coffee or tea plus lots of food are in their dinning. She sees that in just one magic of their wands they can produce foods that they want. She enjoyed everything in fairyland that she couldn't think of leaving. When midnight comes Zandro offer her black and white rice. She is confused why there are two rice. She ask the fairies, then one of them explain why they offer her two kinds of rice - that if she eat the black rice she can't go back to her home, then the white rice since it is the common rice for all humans she can still go back to her home. Everybody is forcing her to eat the black rice so she can be one of them. Atasha was undecided which one should she pick and eat. She's afraid if she eats the black rice she can't see her family anymore. While if she eats the white rice she can't see her friends in this fairyland anymore. So Zandro advised not to eat any of those rice for she still can visit the fairyland if she knocks three times in the portal which is the huge tree near in the river.

When morning comes, Atasha bid her goodbyes to her new found friends in fairyland. Everyone of them give her some valuable things that even pawnshops and antiques collector will go after her belongings. She was very happy that she found a set of new friends in just a short of time and the fact that she also roamed and visit the land of fairies is a story that will intact in her mind until she become old.

In human land...

Parents of Atasha was surprised when they saw Atasha with many gold all over her body. They ask if where did she get all those jewelries. They still can't believe what Atasha says about the fairies and the fairyland.

The next morning Atasha and her parents go to the portal and offer some goods to the fairies for the goodness that they have given to them. Then eversince that day the fairies give back some items to the humans its like barter of goods and any other things that they like to give it's their way of communicating to humans and vice versa.

Even the couples would go on the portal to ask for their needs in their wedding, they ask it 1 week before it's big events happened. Only Tuesday or Friday's is the day that they can ask favors, because it's the day that their magic would take effects. You ask for a complete set of wedding dress then ask it 2 days before the wedding.

Some will take advantage and ask too much from the faries, there is a time that one of the lady ask for golds, jewelries and expensive dress. She only say that she will borrow it and promise to bring it back in the portal after her birthday, but so sad that after her birthday she didn't bring it back to the portal. She likes the dress so much that she don't want to give it back. Fairies became furious because the lady didn't fulfill the agreement. Starting that day the Fairies would no longer give anything to humans. And this is the reason that the bad humans who cuts the big trees in the forest would get sick or worst dead the following days without any diagnostic illness from the doctors. Some healer theories concluded that they were the replacement of the trees they cut because it belongs to the fairies. In the fairyland trees are houses of fairies.

Chapter 4

Evil Sprite

In the land where cellphones and gadgets are not invented far from civilization, lots of fairies, fay, fae, sprite wathever you called a supernatural creatures are living under water, in the forest and even under the sand. They are divided into two goods and bads.

Most of the bads sprite are reigning they are called the the demoted angels. They are angels that never being godly enough, yet not evil enough to send in hell.

One day in the realm near the river, a beautiful girl Wanda is swimming. She didn't know that a certain magical creature was interested in her. She was about to leave the place when the man who is in green clothing appeared and with wings. Too beautiful, so serious and elegant in his dress that you might think that he is a girl but actually a man. At first he is friendly but later on he became wicked when she refused to go in their place and even force Wanda to go with him on their home once more.

Wanda don't want to go with the sprite, she is hesitant to go for the reason that she didn't even know the name of this stranger. After so many hours of crying she see thats its becoming dark and she thinks that her mother will look after her in this hour, no more sunlight rays can be seen in her area, cold wind is hitting her skin but the wicked sprite just laugh at her. She already have an idea and was about to run fast when the sprite came near her and catch her little did she know they were floating in river and then fly in the huge trees. She wonder that in the huge tree their is a gold house. Wanda wonder, how is it being possible that there is a huge golden house in this tree. The sprite who took her is called Zatan the very powerful evil creature spirit.

Zatan don't like rejections, what he wants he gets. He hates the most if the one he likes didn't follow his command instantly, from Angel look he become hideous and transform into evil- fangs, red eyes and long horn on both heads. This is why they called sprite sometimes as deceiving. Not just having a deceiving face but also a deceiving and tricky attitude. This is their way to get their victims.

Back to Wanda's situation. The servants of evil zatan come near her. They gave Wanda a beautiful white long dress, shoes, shining jewelries that matches her outfits and a bouquet of red flowers.

Wanda was confused and ask the servants why they are making her beautiful this day. The servants just say that their master would be glad if they see her later extra beautiful. She was frightened at the moment she want to scream at the top of her lungs and ask for help for the good sprite. The fact that the evil sprite is the most powerful in this land where she is in gives her a goosebumps and she know that this evil creature who force her to come in this place is having no mercy for she can't do anything scsare her even more.

When Zatan stormed in the ballroom, she is roaming the entire place he wants to make sure that the entire place was perfect for his wedding to Wanda. Everybody is busy decorating the whole place that they didn't notice Wanda is crawling near the portal, but in just one snap the Zatan again appeared in front of her and to her surprise she was dragged to the dark area and put in dungeon. She's screaming and pleading not to put in a cold and dark area. This time Zatan become more furious and angry.

He decided to imprisoned Wanda until she accepted Zatan as her husband.

Wanda left with no choice but to choose the lesser evil. He will marry Zatan and free from the dark dungeon she doesn't want to imprisoned in the dungeon for the rest of her life. She must accept her fate.

In the venue. Many different sprite living in water, air, trees with beautiful wings are present to witnessed their wedding. Actually its like a grand wedding in human worlds full of flowers, foods, drinks, fireworks and lots of gifts. Musicians together with the band sing the most beautiful song. Whole duration of wedding Zatan is all smile while Wanda feels gloomy she doesn't want to smile even it is her ideal wedding minus the man standing beside her who is praised by all the supernaturals and became her husband after the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Zatan guide her to the most grand suite they called nest. Its super luxury place where you can relax it is complete from soap, schrub, body lotion and shampoo. Wanda feels she's the queen now of Zatan's kingdom. If only her mother knew her situation, her mother would gladly come in this place and visit often.

As everyday passed, Zatan became more attentive to Wanda's action. He gives everything she wants and needs just not to think of escaping he's kingdom.

Wanda loves all the good treatment that has given to him by his husband and their servants. So, she gives back also love to them and each passing months she's comfortable now in Zatan's kingdom. She tried to be a good wife to Zatan, she even give birth after a year, a bouncing baby boy, which makes Zatan even more happy because finally he have a heir in their kingdom.

In human world..

Mother of Wanda is so worried that Wanda didn't came back in their house for a year. She just thought that Wanda eloped with some other guy that she didn't know. But, one night she dream of Wanda, her child and her husband that is so happy and says that.. (mother don't worry about me and don't look me anywhere, I am now in a good place and in good hand).
