Surprise…

The inside of the fortress of solitude was really beautiful one would be extremely lucky to witness such beauty with there own eyes,unfortunately,now that beauty was mixed with big signs of cruelty and misery symbolized by the big pool of blood spilled on the floor,the pieces of mangled flesh and bone across it didn't do anything but add more horror to the already gory scene.

"Hic….Hic….ple-please…please stop…I..I did what you a-asked…just…let me d-die please"

The sounds of a sobbing man strapped to a chair crying and begging with all the blood and flesh and shit spilled on the floor around him made a weird contrast to the beautiful architecture and styling of the fortress around him

"Cmon Maxwell we just started beside what's there to stop it's only been what? Two days?I did cure you so you got more time in this world at least until someone shows up of course"

The shock in Maxwell's eyes was really big,Now lord maxwells sure wasn't a Batman or a Superman but he worked with the justice league so torture wouldn't usually work on him,Hell he was a guy with strong will to not let go of Superman's mind until the end even at death's doors,but what he was experiencing was something much worse than death

"Y-you no….NOOO…Fuck you…y-you are supposed to be a h-hero….you can't do this l-let me go"

Standing infront of the seated Maxwell is a young man wearing a all black suit with with long black hair that reached his back side his long lashes and eyes made someone who would see him for the first time think of him as a very nice person,his smile even now would make someone feel at ease in most. Situations,but that wasn't the case now for Maxwell.

"Hahahahaha….you are really funny Maxwell I gotta say,I never mentioned being a hero"

His laugh sounded angelic and heartfelt in most people's ears but to Maxwell it was like hearing a demon laugh at his misery,suddenly the young man's looked in another direction for a second then looked backed to Maxwell

"Sigh"…unfortunately Maxwell lord our fun stops here we seem to have vis…"

Suddenly a wall facing the young man's back opened revealing three people standing behind it,each was a respected and known hero in this world,great members of the justice league,Wonder Woman,Superman and batman,with the latter taking the lead

"Ro…"

Just as Batman opened his mouth to speak while taking a step he was interrupted by a strong feminine voice

"Rogue,we've been looking for you days where have you b…"

Again Wonder Woman was interrupted while moving toward the young man called rogue but this time not by someone but by the gruesome scene the welcomed her and her companions,that's when rogue spoke

"Hey,Diana…I really missed you"

This would've sounded really sweet if it wasn't for the blood covering the area around him and some splashes on his suit and face,rogues face stoped smiling for a second almost as if remembering something

"Oh,don't worry about the blood it was just me putting the blood sweat and tears to your gift you know,hahaha"

"W-what.."

To say WW was confused was an understatement she is a being who lived a thousand of years so seeing blood shouldn't shake her,she fought in ww2 so she saw her share of blood but seeing the man she loved bathing and covered in it…now that was new,taking lead of the conversation was then Batman

"Rogue,what's the meaning of this?..did you..did you do this to him?"

Although he was speaking in his Batman "voice" rogue could still here the skepticism in his voice

"You sound surprised,don't need to be the smartest detective in the world to figure that out don't you think?"

Batman's surprise wasn't uncalled for.Batman made a personal mental profile to every hero and villain he met and although some act out of his expectations the stay within the range of there said file,except for rogue right now he just grabbed the file burn it put on a plate and ate it this was something the was totally unexpected,just before he could respond ww beat him to it by asking

"Why?"

Her voice sounded shaky if someone heard her they would be very surprised

"Hm?well I said it was a gift but I was lying I did it cuz I wanted to,I just wanted to see what would happen when the world finds out one of their lovely superheroes is actually a cruel crazy sociopath"

Amid all this the only one silent was Superman his eyes were glued to the man whimpering on the chair next to rogue,because although he was screaming he just couldn't hear him at all,wanting to question rogue Superman tried to speak but was interrupted

"So be it then"

Ww's firm voice was back and after it came a huge crash sound as she disappeared from her place and appeared in-front of rogue catching his wrists she said

"You are under arrest Arthur Lockhart for the crime of torturing and abusing Maxwell lord"

"No"

His refusal came really quick but so did ww's reply

"I am not asking"

"I know I still refuse"

Insisting on refusing,ww's pained shaken voice made its appearance again,she said in a hushed whisper

"Please don't make do this"

Unfortunately her pleas fell on deaf ears

"Do what you must Diana"

A tear rolled down right across her right cheek,she took a breath and steeled herself and said with a firm confident voice

"Ok"

Still holding his wrist she tried to pull him toward her,of course she did it as weak as she can so she doesn't hurt his "soft,weak" body,only to find herself unable to,she then was greeted by a punch straight to her face that sent her flying toward the wall of the fortress making a hole through it,which prompted Superman voice to sound out

"You….you have powers…"

Rogue just stared at him with that smile,that sweet kind beautiful smile and said

"Surprise"
