Chapter 1 Awakening

'Somewhere in the deep blue sea, a young boy was born. This young man was part of the ancient humans when the earth was nothing but a planet of water. '

What is this feeling. I feel cold but at the same time it is a comfortable feeling. My limbs... why can't I reach out for anything. Opening my eyes, I see nothing but darkness so I began panicking, I tried to scream out, but I feel like my voice has no sound. Suddenly, my hand touched something cold and tensed. I heard a sound that feels like someone is talking. I wonder what they are saying.

" My son... my baby prince, you should be adjusting to this darkness now."

As I heard this sweet and gentle voice spoke my world started to change and the darkness that I saw began lighting up slowly. I immediately saw a beautiful woman staring at me. However, she was different from what I knew from my past life. No wait, dark eyes that had no cornea and dark blue skin. I reach out and feel the arms that carried me. They feel rough and tempered by pressure and at the same time smooth and slimy. I saw that she had long hair that was floating in place behind her.

This person, could she be like a mermaid? What did she just called me? Son? Baby prince? Does that mean I look like this too? I then saw my hands that I had unconsciously grabbed. I saw a layer of skin that connected my fingers together. I knew what it was as soon as I saw it. It was webbed hands like what you would see on some feet of creatures that spend their life traveling in the water.

She was wearing a dark blue dress that flowed in every direction with black lines that ran down the side. From what I can tell, even with the strange blue skin, she still looked beautiful. If this person is indeed my mother, if my father isn't too ugly, I would also be a handsome person.

I heard the woman in front of me say again, " You look like a curious one. Husband, looks like our first born will be a trouble maker."

I tilted my head as I saw her look up and talk to someone across the area. As I looked in her direction, I saw a big man kicking his legs slowly as he swam towards me. He had a big and strong build. His skin tone was different from my mother. His skin was also dark blue with dark pupils and no cornea. He wore clothes that was tight on him that it seems as if it was his skin and he looked like he was glowing with the gold color armor that he was wearing. I saw his face and I couldn't tell much from what he was thinking. He looks like an arrogant person as I was just born and he still shows a serious face. But I can't deny this meanish look that he had on suit him really well and from a certain perspective is quite good looking as well.

I quickly gathered my thoughts as I began to think about the situation I am in. I am under water. My parents doesn't have an ordinary status as I was called a prince. Hopefully this isn't a polygamy type family or there will be a fight for the throne. One thing that stood out to me the most was, how did I get here and why. What happened to me and worst of all, I am terrified of the ocean. On land the biggest creature was basically an elephant but in the ocean, it is a whale which is several times bigger. Hopefully God or somebody gave me a special gift so I can survive in this world that is 70% covered in water, that is if I am on earth.

As the man approached, his face started to soften as he first caressed the woman's face and then at mine, with a low and deep voice he said, " let me see him."

He grabbed me as he lifted me up and began turning me everywhere as he took a careful look which made feel like I am completely naked, wait, now that I look at myself, I AM completely naked. I tried to speak but nothing came out and did what a baby had to do and started crying immediately while struggling furiously.

Hearing a slight giggle from behind me, " Haha, husband, looks like he doesn't like you looking at him like that."

" Hmph, he can struggle all he want, I won't let him go. But... he is a strong one, he'll probably strong or stronger than me when he's all grown up. I saw earlier that he was looking around too and expressed a curious mind, he will be smart indeed. His name will be Varan"

" Yes husband, but that may also lead to trouble. "

Nodding his head, " that is fine. We will teach him well, and anyone who has trouble with my son, I can deal with it." He smiled as he continued, " I am King after all."

" Yes husband, we will make him a king like no other."

My 'father' then gave me back to my 'mother' as he said, " We will talk about his future later tonight, I have to go back and attend to matters that is going on in the palace."

He then left as my mother cradled me back into her arms and held me tightly. As I laid there comfortably, I began to think about my life now. First of all, how long will it take me to reach an age where I can do stuff myself or what to do in this life, but it looks like I already have a path settled for me but I think that is fine, I had always wanted to be a King.

Then I thought about several things and what kind of gifts I may have received in this life, after all in most reincarnation or isekai scenarios there is always something special for the main character. My initial thoughts would of course be if I have a status.

Long and behold as soon as I thought of that, a screen appeared in front of me.
