I could feel a cold breeze sweep on my face. I took a glance and saw Eula's cryo skills. As expected it's different.
I can't believe such frail arms could use a greatsword with one hand. Well, it's very light, the greatsword in my hand is not that heavy.
Why do other Claymore users in the game act like it's very heavy? I mean if you think about it, they deal big damages in the game. So their arm strength should be impressive? Are they acting?
Shaking my head. I look at the samachurl before me. It dances silly as it conjures skills. Of course, I didn't let it finish.
I slash it. But it didn't die. It uses the staff to block my greatsword.
"This guy is very deceptive. It is small but it's powerful." I murmured.
The spell it cast was an Anemo spell. Small tornados emerged on the ground as it circled me. The wind brushes up on my face. It slightly hurts.
One of the tornadoes comes up to me. It was very slow. So I easily dodged it, and I ran towards the Samachurl.
"Take this!" I raised the claymore and slashed downward.
The more I killed Hilichurls the more guilt piled up. After all, they should be former humans cursed by the gods. The people with me shouldn't know as I saw them killing the Hilichurl with crazed expressions.
Ignorance is bliss.
But I resolve myself to continue.
"Ronan was it? I saw you fight. I see why you want to learn my dance. How should I say this? Your skills are amateur. It's sloppy but the power behind those slashes is very powerful. It lacks elegance." Hands on her chin she doesn't hold back with her words.
"Hahaha, I know right? So how is it?" I laughed.
"Well, you passed my test. Good for you, I rarely praised anyone. Wait I don't praise anyone." Eula nodded. "For now, let's get in the ruins. The enemy is inside. Even if I'm an infiltrator, I always take my duty seriously."
"Great! I caught a glimpse of your dance. It was very beautiful." I said honestly without any flowery words. When I recall it, she was like a sword princess on the battlefield. I didn't mind her way of speaking at all. That's just her broken humor.
"I know. I'm very proud of it." Chin up, Her face was composed without being flattered. But still very noble-like.
"I want to see more. Can I see?" I asked.
Eula stared at me for a moment before she nodded. "You've passed my test. You are free to see me... I can't believe that I would give a boy like you a chance."
Gladly.
My mouth formed into a smile. She did not reject it, which means I can.
I followed behind her. Her back facing me. The way she walked I engraved it into my mind. When I saw the lower part of her body. I unintentionally gulped my saliva as my throat became dry.
"Ronan, what did you talk about?" Paimon appeared suddenly as she asked curiously?
"Paimon were you watching?"
"Uh. n-no?" Paimon denied while averting her eyes.
"You know it's bad eavesdropping you know?" I teased her.
"Sorry." She whimpered.
"Sorry sorry Paimon. I asked her if I could watch her sword skills. I'm interested in her skill so I want to learn." I eased her. I'm not good at dealing with kids.
Is Paimon a kid? I don't know.
"So that's how it is." Her face returned to normal. However, she looked slightly haughty. "You should have said that from the start. You made Paimon sad."
"What happened?" Lumine finished her opponent as she saw me and Paimon chatting.
"Lumine hear me. Ronan teased me again and made Paimon sad." Paimon flew to Lumine.
As usual, Lumine ignored her plea.
I told Lumine about it without saying anything more. "You should learn more."
"I will." I plan not to hold her back after all.
"Ah, they are going inside the ruin," Paimon shouted as she pointed towards the door of the ruin.
When the Hilichurls saw Mitachurl fall from the sword of Rizark. They ran away towards the door.
"Maggots! Let's chase them!" Rizark shouted. He pursued the Hilichurls with great speed. With a swing of the sword, a Hilichurl fell. Rizark is showing a crazed expression as he slashes and slashes.
The Knights also showed support as they shouted with great vigor. They are like hyenas preying on their prey, unlike the gloomy atmosphere earlier.
Eula, Lumine, and I followed the others.
"Have you found the skill yet?" Eula asked as she walked beside us.
Right. They asked the same question before we embarked. I now have an affinity for almost all Elements. However, discovering the power is a little bit difficult.
According to Eula, When acquiring Elemental skills. One should dedicate themselves to something. Her sword skills are one of the things she is dedicated to.
I don't get it. Even if she said that. I don't even know where to start. This made me a little bit stumped but I did not get discouraged. I keep thinking and feeling my innermost thoughts.
I feel it. But it was faint. I wished for it but it wasn't visible. I tried calling it but it did not react. What is it that I lack?
However, time is of the essence. We need to destroy the Pyro shield. Cryo vs Pyro will trigger melt but it takes a long time to destroy the shield.
Right now. I'm the only one.
This is slightly vexing. Why do I have to shoulder this responsibility? I hated responsibility the most.
Is this the reason why god sent me here?
Then thanks to them.
For giving me a headache.
Anyways. The inside of the ruins is amazing. As we got inside, we already anticipated to be ambushed. But what the retreating Hilichurls don't know about the other team already got inside.
They already subdued the enemy inside. No, when we got inside they were still suppressing the enemy.
There is another Mitachurl with a wooden shield. With its shield, it's hard for the knights to kill it. However, with bombs on hand, the shield constantly gets burned.
After all, Bombs and fire-related weapons are very easy to produce. Unlike other elements.
Even tho. The shield was constantly damaged. The knights cannot stop that Mitachurl alone.
Rizark shot towards the Mitachurl as he raised his sword. The sword was enveloped by fire as he struck its shield. The shield became even more damaged by the fire which was strengthened by pyro element.
As I watch the fire. I could feel a burning sensation deep inside me. With a thought, my hands started to warm up, the claymore on my hand trembled as it slowly became red hot.
I glance at it and a smile plastered on my face. This is the pyro element.
I focused on the feeling as I pushed this feeling into my claymore. The claymore became even hotter but in my hands, it wasn't burning me, it felt cool instead.
Feeling very excited, I ran towards the nearest enemy. I slashed the Hilichurl as it tried to defend itself. But how could it block me?
Fire sprouted out on my claymore just like what happened to Rizark's sword. It unleashed a slash of fire. Burning the Hilichurl to death.
"Wow! Ronan that was Pyro elemental skill! Wait that's like Rizark old man skill." Paimon who should be inside the dimension appeared out of nowhere.
"I suddenly felt it," I answered with a big smile.
I closed my eyes as I tried to change to feeling from a burning sensation to a freezing sensation that I felt when I saw Eula fighting earlier. I think I found it.
The claymore on my hand cooled down. It didn't feel warm but it became colder to freezing. I raised the claymore and slashed down diagonally.
Something came out of that slash. It was a cryo slash when it struck the wall, and the wall was covered by a layer of ice.
So that's how it is. But what does a Hydro element feel like? A water? What does water feel like? Wet? Slimy?
As I tried to search for that element. I was ambushed. In a moment of carelessness, it was a devastating mistake that I would not forget.
"Ronan!"
