Chapter 6
"Isn't Amber's preferred weapon a bow and arrow?" Paimon asked in confusion.
"Since it is a standard weapon, there are also other types of equipment in the series. But the way to obtain them is the same."
Amber said in depression, "As a Knight of Favonius, I don't even have a Favonius Warbow!"
"So, you mean that this sword is quite precious?" Paimon was even more excited after hearing this.
The more valuable a thing is, the more she likes it.
"Of course, it is precious. In addition to its superior quality, the sword also represents the recognition of the Knights of Favonius and the church. It is one of the goals I'm working towards." Amber said seriously.
She is already a mature knight if she can own any weapon in the Favonius series, right?
Amber muttered inwardly.
"Jason, your gift is too expensive..." Lumine looked at Jason hesitantly.
Jason shook his head and replied, "I believe that Lumine will sooner or later be recognized by the people of Mondstadt, the Knights, and the church. I'm just giving you these things one step ahead."
There was a hint of encouragement in his tone.
"That's right!"
Paimon was afraid that Lumine would reject his offer, so she persuaded her, "If you own another weapon in this series, it will belong to me, hehe..."
"So, this is what you are after!" Lumine groaned at Paimon.
"This little Paimon, with such a desire for treasures, wouldn't she be related to the legendary dragon, right?" Amber was also very speechless.
"Then, I'll take it." After thinking for a while, a slight smile appeared on Lumine's face.
She took the Favonius Sword and started trying it out.
After some test swings, she was pretty satisfied with the sword and loved it.
"There are also some common artifacts inside the box, which are very suitable for new adventurers," Jason said after seeing her finish.
"Artifact?" Lumine looked into the treasure chest suspiciously and found some bright feathers, a pocket watch, a small cup, a headwear, and a lifelike flower.
The resonance between the five artifacts formed an incredible cycle.
All five artifacts are of the same set.
Artifacts are items in Genshin Impact that can be equipped on Characters to increase their Stats.
"These artifacts are items consisting of mysterious power, which enhance and protect those who use elemental powers."
"And, if these items belonging to the same set of artifacts are combined, they can stimulate some of their abilities," Jason explained the basic information about artifacts.
Then, he pointed to the five items in the box and said, "This is a set of 'Adventurers' series of artifacts famous amongst the adventurers on the Teyvat continent."
"Um..." Lumine put four artifacts close to her body, and the last flower artifact was pinned to the side of her hair.
"Thank you!" She gently stroked the flower on the side of her hair and said.
Initially, Lumine fell into this world and lost her strength and her only blood relatives. But, at this time, she finally calmed down.
"I'm so envious!"
Amber said enviously, "The price of this set of adventurers' artifacts in the Adventurer's Guild is not low. And, it requires a certain contribution point to buy it. We, the Knights of Favonius, have no chance."
Jason had already given this set to Lumine, so Amber didn't think there would be a second set of such precious artifacts.
As for what Jason said before about giving her a weapon, she thought it was just some polite words.
"Why?" Lumine asked curiously.
"The Adventurer's Guild is a mercenary organization, to put it bluntly. Our Knights of Favonius is an official national security institution. So, how can I join such an organization?" Amber put her hands on her hips, proud to showcase her status as the Knights of Favonius.
"Then, do the Knights have their own special set of artifacts?" Lumine curiously asked Amber.
"Well, Kaia will occasionally bring back some scattered artifacts to increase the knights' strength, but that's not my duty." Amber's face became bitter, and then she waved her hands and regained her spirits in the blink of an eye.
"Stop talking about this. Do you remember when I said I would give you a gift?" Amber quickly changed the topic.
"Although the preciousness of my gift can not compare to that of Boss Jason. But in terms of practicality, I have considerable confidence in it." Amber said confidently.
"Oh?" Lumine's curiosity was piqued.
"Amber, tell us what the gift is!?" Paimon, sitting on the table, nibbling on an apple, quickly flew again.
"Well, you should wait for me at the statue of the seven in the city first."
"If you don't know the location, ask Boss Jason. I need to prepare something."
After saying that, she turned over and jumped out of the window.
Her movements were neat and simple.
"..."
Jason was speechless, looking at her skilful movement.
If the seniors of the Knights of Favonius saw her, she would probably be reprimanded again.
"Jason, do you know what Amber's gift is?" Lumine asked curiously.
Jason didn't answer her and spread his hands, "There will be no suspense if I spoil you."
Then, he added, "The Statue of Barbatos is high up in Mondstadt, in front of the church. You can get a quick view of it when you look up at the fountain below."
"Well, then I'll go out," Lumine said but didn't act immediately.
She looked expectantly at Jason and said, "Jason, do you want to go together?"
"I'm sorry, I have other things to do." Jason shook his head.
"Oh, that's a pity!" Lumine responded with a bit of regret in her tone.
She didn't learn the bad habit from Amber and went downstairs with Paimon obediently.
"Pay attention to the wind direction, and be safe!"
Before going out, she heard a voice coming from her back.
"Um!" Lumine pursed her lips lightly and felt her steps become lighter. However, she didn't know why she felt happy to hear his concern.
"It looks like I have to go to the Knights." After a while, Jason looked out and found Lumine and Paimon looking in the direction of the statue of Barbatos on Fountain Square.
Then, he closed the third and second floors' windows and locked them.
"Sarah, close the restaurant today." Jason came down and said to his waiter.
"So early? Boss?" Sarah asked in confusion.
Although business has been bad recently, it is still too early to close the stall, right?
Sarah felt weird but still faithfully obeyed him.
"Is there anything I can do?" She asked.
"No, everything is closed today."
Jason said, "Today is a paid leave."
