Chapter 7

Knights Headquarters, Mondstadt

As the most prominent force in the city, the knights of Favonius occupy the best position for their activities except the church.

The three-story stone castle with an underground library and a top-floor attic belongs to the Knights of Favonius.

Jason did not join the knights but was approved by both the head of the knights and the church. Therefore he was given the Favonius sword.

"Boss Jason?"

"Is there anything you need from the knights of favonius?"

Two knights who were standing guard at the door asked Jason enthusiastically.

"Is Kaeya here?" Jason asked them.

"Did you come here for captain Kaeya?"

"Then, he should be chatting with Wood in the lobby room on the first floor."

The two guards answered, then started saluting with their hands on their chests, waiting for him to pass by.

First floor,

Kaeya was leaning against the wall with his arms folded and chatting with the knight Wood, guarding the door to the solitary confinement room inside the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.

Kaeya Alberich is a tall young man with a lean build and a tanned complexion. His visible eye is periwinkle with long eyelashes and a diamond-shaped pupil. He has navy-blue hair with streaks of lighter blue, accompanied by a long lock of hair that rests over his left shoulder, cascading down to his waist. His bangs cover the right side of his face and almost hide a plain black eyepatch.

He wears a white-collared, cleavage-revealing blouse adorned by a cape with a fur collar. He wears dark, tight-fitted trousers and knee-length boots. He also wears a loose brown belt from which his Vision hangs and a rope that may be meant for a scabbard to carry his sword.

No matter how one looks at him, they feel he has an air of debauchery all over him.

For a Mondstadt girl, such a handsome cavalry captain of the knights of Favonius is as attractive as a dream lover.

Only Diluc, who is even more handsome, can beat him in terms of popularity.

"Mr. Ice Bridge!" Jason waved. [A/N: I changed this nickname.]

Because Kaeya was near the door, he immediately noticed Jason's arrival.

"Boss Jason, I begged you many times, please don't call me by that nickname!"

Kaeya lifted his bangs, covered his forehead, and said, "And, why am I the only one who can get a nickname? Shouldn't this honor be given to the acting grandmaster of the knights of Favonius, Jean, first? A little scoundrel like me doesn't deserve such an honor, right?"

His hair-lifting movement is very lethal - if there is any girl from Mondstadt here.

"Do you actually identify yourself as a scoundrel? As expected of you." Jason laughed after hearing his complaints.

He also greeted Wood, who was standing beside Kaeya.

"Is Klee inside the confinement room?" Jason asked curiously.

If not, then Wood basically does not need to guard the door of the confinement room.

"She was locked in by master Jean. She told me that Klee went out to blast fish again." Wood showed a painful expression while saying.

All fishes in Mondstadt's rivers and lakes are public property belonging to the citizens. Therefore, it is prohibited to destroy them for any reason - this is the norm written in the Knight's order.

But if Klee wants to experiment with bombs, she can't just blow up a mountain, right? What if it catches on fire?

So, all she can do is throw bombs into the water.

And the problem is that is a lot of fish in the water.

So, Klee will eventually end up doing something wrong.

Wood is also very desperate for this situation. He doesn't want to stand guard in front of the confinement room every day!

Also, he still has to worry about whether Klee will conduct any dangerous experiments inside the room. What if there is a sudden 'bang' and the Knight's headquarter is bombed?

"I'll go tell Jean later, to leave Klee with me for a while." Jason said after understanding his dilemma.

Now that Lumine has arrived, he can start re-start his one-year training plan.

"Wow! Thank you! I'm so touched." Wood said with a grateful expression.

Jason took a step back from him after seeing his excessive excitement.

"So, Boss Jason, are you here just for this?" Kaeya asked, trying to change the topic.

"Of course not. I'm here especially for you, Kaeya!" Jason replied.

"Oh?"

Kaeya was a little surprised, then he saluted with one arm in front of his chest and said, "It is an honor to be able to help the pride of Mondstadt."

"There is no need for flattery."

Jason didn't let the praise make him forget his purpose; he said, "I'm here to ask the knights to help evacuate the people of Mondstadt."

"Evacuate the people of Mondstadt!?" Kaeya looked at Jason suspiciously.

There has been no sign of any disasters from his intelligence network recently. Did Boss Jason find any clues about the Abyss order or the Fatui?

"I have a feeling, the stormterror will arrive soon." Jason said seriously.

"Does Boss Jason have any eyeliner?" Kaeya's first reaction was to find any evidence for such a claim.

"Do you think the speed of the eyeliner can be faster than that of Stormterror?" Jason looked at Kaeya like an idiot.

"You're right!" Kaeya realized his mistake. No information can transmit faster than the flying speed of a dragon.

Then, Kaeya pondered, "However, what is the basis for Boss Jason to say this? If there is no plausible explanation, our Knights will be fine, but it will definitely arouse dissatisfaction amongst the people of Mondstadt."

The knights all obey orders, so they don't need any plausible explanation.

But the people of Mondstadt need clear reasons for evacuation.

Kaeya is also very curious about why Jason thinks so.

Jason couldn't tell Kaeya that he knew from the plot that the irritable Stormterror couldn't help attacking the city just after the traveler arrived in Mondstadt.

Therefore, he stretched out his hands and gathered a mass of wind elements in his palm.

"The wind is guiding me!" Jason bluffed, trying to sound mysterious.

"This is Wind Gliders!" Beneath the statue of Barbatos, Amber showed her gifts in front of Lumine and Paimon.

"The outrider knights use it to move in the sky, and the citizens of Mondstadt love playing with it."

"I brought you here so that you can experience the feeling of flying." Amber gave them a warm introduction.

Wind Gliders are the primary tool players use for Gliding in mid-air through open terrain in Genshin Impact.

"You sound so enthusiastic, Amber!" Paimon said with applause.

"After all, the wind is the soul of Mondstadt." Amber replied as a matter of course.

"The wind?"

Lumine put on the wind gliders, stretched out her hands to feel the wind blowing from the high mountains outside Cider Lake, and muttered.

"Feel the wind?"
