Chapter Three

As the light dims the clothes I picked are shown, it's a white button up long sleeved shirt with a blue vest and a black slim and long hooded trench coat, I also have stretchy black dress pants and black combat boots.

I place the sword on my back with it's blue sheath and I have the magnum on my hip in it's holster, I jump around to get used to the outfit and I apologise to Ordis, though Ordis just sighs and accepts the apology.

I chuckle when I hear the sigh from Ordis but my face gets grim as I ask Ordis a dreadful question "Ordis since right now I'm technically a normal human, I'm not able to use the Warframe, since I haven't been infected and gotten the sword-steel body right?"

"Yes I'm afraid so operator" Ordis appears grim as he starts to understand why I asked. I groan and shudder as I walk to the ships infirmary on the Orbiter. "looks like I have to go meet Helminth" I can hear Ordis saying something about purging vile mass and lack of void energy, but I'm not thinking about that I'm just hoping that Helminth doesn't attack me.

I turn a corner and I see the infirmary door, it looks as though light won't reach this place, I look around the door and I see red glowing spores on the floor, it seems like the infection is also real in this universe now. As I'm looking at the spores I hear a heavy breathing on the other side of the door, almost like a giant is waiting to open it's jaws and chew me up.

My back is drenched with sweat as I step closer to the door, hoping that it is locked, but my luck doesn't seem good today as the door opens and a thin grey fog rolls out of the room passing around my feet. I steel my nerves and put on a serious face.

I step into the room and right in front of me I see a flesh and spore covered chair with spikes around the headrest almost like a claw ready to strike when you least expect it I walk past this chair as I need to tell Helminth something, I walk past the pillar blocking my view of Helminth.

Now I finally see him and I have to fight the urge to throw up, seeing this in a video game and in real life are two different things. Helminth is just a large spore that looks like a mouth, it's opening and closing and the whole wall is pulsating.

I can tell that Helminth sees me cause he starts to groan, but as I don't have the infection yet, so I can't understand him. "Helminth I need you to infect me so I can use the Warframes but don't worry about me losing my mind I can absorb the infection so we are good in that department, also don't put a growth on me that's gross and the pets don't exist in this universe."

I hear him groan so I just assume that he agrees, I smile and walk to the chair that I dread. "System will I get any physical changes if I get the infection"

I sit down on the chair and the thing I didn't want to happen happened. the tentacle like claws wrap around my arms and turn my head sideways, as a needle like claw stabs into my neck, I would of screamed but strangely it didn't really hurt just tingled a bit, I mean it's still scary to see a giant needle in you're neck, it's just slightly better than what I was thinking it would be.

I don't hesitate and say in my mind yes, what happens next is the worst thing in my existence, for what feels like years, my body feels as though it's getting crushed and molded over and over, until it all just stops and the pain goes away, I wake up to hear my system say.

I laughed when I heard the system say I wasn't Human but I was shocked at how short the assimilation was, I could of sworn it took longer than an hour. I try to get up but the tentacles are still wrapped around me, so I tell Helminth to let me go and that I'm okay and I hear him groan again, but strangely I understand him, he tells me that he's glad I'm alright and that he's happy to serve master.

I stand up and I walk around getting used to my new strength and I ask the system for an analysis of my body after the assimilation.

I get excited when I read that I have a sword-steel body but I fall on my knees and stare at the wall in defeat as I read the last two, cause the first one is practically useless and the second one cause neon blue is horrible on hair.

I perk up as the system says that and I start to get curious as to how I look now, so I head to the personal quarters to try and find a mirror, but after looking for a while I couldn't find one I give on looking for one as I have something better to do so I call out to the system.

"System, use the Warframe token and get me the volt warframe and make it blue and black like all of my other things, maybe add some golden trim to spice it up a bit." I hear ding and then some text scrolls across my face.

As the message is shown it seems as if the whole ship came alive, the pumps and pistons start moving and all the stations turn on. well most of the stations I guess since the mod station doesn't work.

I walk around to check if everything is alright and working when I finish checking I head to the cockpit and I sit down, I look at the watch to see what it does but I accidentally touch the face of the watch and to my surprise, it starts to wiggle and seem like it came alive.
